The Summit B side is actually very enjoyable, just the right amount of challenge, EXCEPT for 2 screens. Summit Station flag 9 and 2 will break mentally and emotionally break you in half. And since you are so close to the finish you won't want to stop. I actually am hating this Chapter 6 B side, much harder than SUmmit for me except for those 2 stations

I haven’t tried core B yet, but i’m halfway through this and i’m finding it harder than summit b. I struggled on 3b too, but i think that was less enjoyable and more annoying. This is harder, but it doesn’t seem as bad as I’m actually having fun lol
This took me 3:15:35 with 1418 deaths. So many times I died without touching anything because I missed the edge of the bouncy circles. This was kinda soul crushing but I did really enjoy the falling parts and the Badeline parts. The parts at the beginning were what I found most difficult.
It took me like 2 hours to do 1:18. I think this is my least favorite level in the game so far, it’s the first one where I’ve felt legitimately frustrated.
True but at this point simple directional platforming should be not that hard. Bumpers and feathers on the other hand... Need extra percision to execute.
I haven't completed this at the moment and this is my first b-side. Ive been trying for a week now, im over 1k deaths, and I watched this video just to see how many more to go. Id say im about 70% done. Well, if theres one thing this game taught me, it's to not give up. Gotta go finish this shit now lol
I pretty sure I approached the limits of my sanity on this level. But the amount of satisfaction I got from finally beating it? I felt like I was getting younger.
Def the most challenging B side for me, even though technically I died more on Summit and Core, I found some of these rooms insane. I love the music remix though.
@@Naruto_from_the_Naruto_show that's actually not true. you can get 100% by beating all the B and C sides and getting all the regular strawberries. getting golden strawberries pushes you beyond 100%
I'm stuck on the screen that starts at 3:27. The very last line of crystals always kills me, I seem to be a hair too far to the left. Is there some trick to it?
Don’t think so. I was stuck at the same point for a long time too. A significant portion of the edited out deaths on this run are dying to that exact spot :\ Sorry I don’t have more helpful advice! Just try to remember where you are positioned when you start the last left dash and tweak until you line it up correctly I guess.

453 deaths. Definitely the hardest chapter I've completed so far (most deaths by far), though I'm sure 7B, the C-sides, and Chapter 9 will kick my ass some more.
That section is just an ungodly amount of difficult. Badeline was always an annoyance before, but this section was the first time she full-on triggered me.
Hah! 758 deaths, beat you out by 13! (But there would have been more had there not been an occasional... consultation... of this video for how to deal with some of the more puzzle-y jumps.)
Toughest B-side for me yet (completed 1 through 6 as of now). The precision needed by the bumpers/feather caused a lot more deaths for me than Celestial Resort. 1500 deaths and 3.5 hours later...
265 deaths later I made it. Thanks for the guide! Got stuck at 4:40 like many others. This was the hardest B-side so far, the others taking me 103-196 attempts.
Though this game’s pretty infuriating at times, it’s usually pretty nice about it. But this chapter...THIS FUCKING CHAPTER, I swear it’s like a mocking, stinging, wet slap on patience’s face. I almost had a mental break down everytime I was about to finally go to the next screen and accidentally bumped against a bunch of spikes I hadn’t seen before. Only thing I liked about it was the music, but I ain’t coming back to it.
I'm in love with the way this feels like a boss fight but is still 100% a platformer? Like, watch Madeline tackle Badeline at 4:47, deal a blow but be flung towards spikes at 4:48, but it's fine because she knew a feather would appear and suddenly she's a ball of light, dodging and weaving right back towards Badeline, eventually dodging a bullet by pixels at 4:51 to tackle her again, is flung away again but dashes thrice through the air, then flies via feather right to Badeline to deal the final blow. If you didn't know better, you'd assume that description was from an epic anime fight scene, and it gives me chills just the same way!!
Bro bumpers are the worst, they require insane precision and timing, and still feel like they have some sort of randomness. And then to make it worse, look at 0:56, the bumpers move aswell. I died at least 100 times on that level alone.
@@wm3709 the problem of them is that if you hit an angle and not the up up part, you get directed at the near side ,so it requires so much precision,it would have been better if they made them square shaped.
Thank God i like a challenge, this level is probably people's least favourite (aside from the summit B side) but only the Music made this my probably 2nd favourite level
the part at 1:00 is so difficult i didnt know how extreamly accurate you have to hit those floating balls, in addition one time they boost you super far and one time they just dont do it. Seeing all those collents about upcoming parts of this level scares me lol.
raise your hand if at 3:08 you didn't notice that wall didn't have spikes and wasted 20 minutes trying to dash all the way across without it or if at 4:29 you wasted the golden feather getting to badeline because it never occurred to you that the crystals would suffice and then had to do extra precise parkour off the falling blocks to get to the end instead of just Flying There please i need this
Interestingly enough, my struggles with this level didn't come from the feathers. The bumpers DID give me issues at first, but not even those were the issue. My problems came from timing, notably at 3:57 and 5:38. I think I spent the most time on both of those segments, but I did struggle on the remainder of the level quite substantially. Still an amazing challenge, this was my final B-Side aside from the Core, so happy I madei through.
honestly, the screen at 4:40 didn't drive me as crazy as the one before it. i did it before watching it (i came for the previous screen) so i made up my own route and only took a couple tries.
I spent thirty minutes trying to get past 5:22. That last Kevin Block repeatedly gave me trouble, as I didn't have as many opportunities to practice it.
Just as a tip, ALWAYS do the b-sides over multiple days. I made the mistake of trying to beat this level in 1 sitting and it was BRUTAL for my mental state. When I got to 7b I instead played for maybe 20-30min each day and while the level took a lot more tries in total it felt a LOT more rewarding and fun.
Idk man, I think it depends on the mental strength of skill of each person, I beat today both 5B and 6B and although it was exhausting it was possible, at least for me. (Actually I did 4B in different days just like you're saying lol)
I thought I would never get past 0:44. That part was BRUTAL. The screen past that was also very rough. Still have more parts of the level to go. Hope I can do this... Edit: FINALLY finished the level. 806 deaths, my time was 2:20:02!
I just beat 3:26. 1. I felt like I was further along than this. 2. That shit was evil. Those insanely precise pixel perfect drops were genuinely satanic. Whoever designed this level is a menace to society. A fucking creature, actually. Edit: i just finally got past 4:40. My tips: certain areas you need to hug the spikes closer to try and make staying in the feather last longer so when you get back to the feather it will be ready to use again. When you reach that one up top on the right, remember that when you leave the feather it kind of makes you do a tiny dash in the direction you were last going in, so if you get too close to the spikes or aim wrong you will fail so let it "dash" you out to the key. Edit: I'm at 5:21 and realized there's a save point there, so I'm taking a break. Probably for the night. I'm at 1,039 deaths. I'm very tired.
6:43 is definitely the hardest room in this level. Had almost 550 total deaths in this entire b-side chapter but it felt like I made a lot of like self progress towards getting better at the game. Playing with keyboard as well, is pretty decent once you get used to it although I wish I had a mechanical keyboard for faster input (using numpad on mouse to dash).
I wonder if it's easier with the keyboard than with the controller, I struggled alot with my controller because I had to be precise on the direction I was going
I play on keyboard, agreed. I think its on par with 4:40. The reason its so tough isn't because the actual bumpers or feathers are hard, but because badelines stupid laser keeps perfectly aiming exactly where you will go. Most of my deaths were probably to that laser, to beat this screen I had to figure out the pattern of where she will shoot, and go around it.
5:57 and 6:43 were the most painful ones mostly because of the stupid blue jump which always launched me too far but after 500 deaths I managed to do this b side, easily the most painful b side for me from chapters 1-6
The pinballs made me go mad... 0:45 especially, then at end too. Everything else was pretty simple. Probably 50-70% of deaths were on the few pinball rooms.
I truly hated this level and it was the only time in the entire game I felt things were unfair and I got angry instead of just being patient and learning like I was the rest of the game. I just recently completed it with a total of 814 deaths, and a lot of those deaths felt like they were not my fault because of how inconsistent the bumpers and stone rocks are, especially the stone rocks which would just not respond to my dashes half the time even when I was directly in front of them. And then the feathers were just insane to control and genuinely gave me a headache because of how much there was to pay attention to in such a small amount of space while you were moving at the speed of light with them. The rest of this game is absolutely amazing, but I just did not enjoy this level at all because whenever I completed sections in this level, it felt like it was a total crapshoot and that I got lucky instead of doing it with my own skill. Everyone is complaining about 6:43, but that part actually only took me five tries weirdly enough. 4:40, on the other hand, took me almost a half-hour alone to finish.
Just finished, finally. Only 358 deaths thanks to this guide, but I can't imagine how many more if I were going in blind. Especially at 4:40 - I don't know how I'd have figured that out.
I honestly don't know how the hell I got to Badeline/Rock Bottom... making that perfect little fall through the purple spikes before that area, constantly dashing in mid-air... I tried to do it so many times and kept dying at thr very last part. D: It's funny though, I swear to god that as soon as I was about to give up, I said to myself "In my mind, I already beat it." and then I beat it for real. ._. Magic, LOL. XD
I've been replaying Celeste for the past two weeks and I'd been moving at one chapter a day on average. Today I got to Reflection and I was only able to get to the first checkpoint before I'd had enough. Incidentally, this B-side is what made me abandon my first playthrough.
Hours of progress lost when I tried to check my death counter by returning to map when it isn't explained that you can't start at your current room once you leave. I'm never playing this again. The previous checkpoint is like half way through the level when I was at the final room. I was at 4500 deaths if you were curious.
Hardest B-Side for me. Had to save it for last. Thankfully the hardest parts are front loaded. Once I was got past the moving blocks I was relieved to be doing careful dashing around spikes
Came to this video after dying at least 200 times at the 6:43 room to check if any other people were also ranting about that ungodly room, to muster up the courage to go back to it. Seriously, I don't know if it's just because I'm trying to control feathers on a keyboard, but that room is fucking ridiculous.
I died almost 1800 times in a row, and quit because I was like "It just won't end and the dlc just came out! I wanna play it! I'll come back." Watch a playthrough to find out I was on the second to last screen 😅...😢... Song still makes me cry though

True but at this point simple directional platforming should be not that hard.
Bumpers and feathers on the other hand... Need extra percision to execute.
Yeah that screen got me mad too i think it might be harder on console but the feathers are easier to handle so this part stood out for me
@@flamyf In my experience, playing with the analog stick, feathers are MUCH easier to execute than very precise dashing
i love this chapter's b-side
it has falling blocks that well fall and you climb or walk on them
it makes you feel badass when you accomplish it
this game in a nutshell. Doing all the B sides so I can continue on in Chapter 9. hopefully it’s not too much for me, i’ve made it this far!

its not to hard once you play it again
Did it on the 4th try lol
4:40 might make me quit this game

I actually liked that part :> It's hard, but not frustrating.
@@rafadydkiemmacha7543 yep pretty much
@@rafadydkiemmacha7543 it was definitely frustrating to me I wanted to smash my controller for the first time, the dash button was getting worn down!
ryan_uwu I think the most frustrating for me was the last screen of 3C.
You should do all of them in order so they all get easier.
Some people hate 1:19, but I love it! I think it's the finest level design. It's really hard, but not in a frustrating way.
Agree ngl
I pretty sure I approached the limits of my sanity on this level. But the amount of satisfaction I got from finally beating it? I felt like I was getting younger.
Def the most challenging B side for me, even though technically I died more on Summit and Core, I found some of these rooms insane. I love the music remix though.
core was second least deaths for me, above forsaken city (b sides)
Well, looks like I won't be 100 percenting the game lol
It turns out, I won't either, I learned that in other to do that you have to beat these B sides without dying.

When you are facing left and press dash without holding any direction you will launch to the left without moving to the left

Gah, certainly my least favourite level yet. The Bumbers are just so goddamn Imprecise, and god, those blocks are annoying.

453 deaths. Definitely the hardest chapter I've completed so far (most deaths by far), though I'm sure 7B, the C-sides, and Chapter 9 will kick my ass some more.
6:44 is so hard, WHY
That section is just an ungodly amount of difficult. Badeline was always an annoyance before, but this section was the first time she full-on triggered me.
This has to be one of my favourite B-sides. It's pretty difficult, but really enjoyable
Hah! 758 deaths, beat you out by 13! (But there would have been more had there not been an occasional... consultation... of this video for how to deal with some of the more puzzle-y jumps.)
Hah! I got 1800!! You're nowhere near my level of deaths 😂😭
Didnt use the video once and ended up with like 605 deaths.
581 used like half
i needed exactly 703 from my memory
It took me 1037 deaths lol
Toughest B-side for me yet (completed 1 through 6 as of now). The precision needed by the bumpers/feather caused a lot more deaths for me than Celestial Resort. 1500 deaths and 3.5 hours later...
Welcome to the sixth circle of Hell.
Farewell is most likely the 9th circle it's really difficult in my opinion when I tried it without the necessary hearts lol

1:18 was actually hateful. I died about 400 times and it probably took me the best part of an hour. That was harder than the entire chapter 7 b-side
The section before that was what I absolutely hated!
well I'm planning to do chapter 7 b-side tommorow so thank for the assurence
@@gamingwithyoty7725 good luck!
@@purplegherkins198 thx, already beat it by now, took more deaths than chapter 6 b-side, let alone that one room, was still fun tho
0:44 is my least favorite section of the whole game. Those damn bumpers, man.
Bro bumpers are the worst, they require insane precision and timing, and still feel like they have some sort of randomness. And then to make it worse, look at 0:56, the bumpers move aswell. I died at least 100 times on that level alone.
really? I had the most fun with those tbh

The track of this level is a masterpiece 🔥
the part at 1:00 is so difficult i didnt know how extreamly accurate you have to hit those floating balls, in addition one time they boost you super far and one time they just dont do it. Seeing all those collents about upcoming parts of this level scares me lol.
raise your hand if at 3:08 you didn't notice that wall didn't have spikes and wasted 20 minutes trying to dash all the way across without it
or if at 4:29 you wasted the golden feather getting to badeline because it never occurred to you that the crystals would suffice and then had to do extra precise parkour off the falling blocks to get to the end instead of just Flying There
please i need this
1:53 to 3:45 is just pure fun

When I heard the familiar chiptune pulsing song at the end I cried. 728 deaths total. I think that's the most for me on every level except farewell.
When I was first doing this it was really frustrating, but now that I've done it I think it's my favorite B side.
Hello There ;)
Interestingly enough, my struggles with this level didn't come from the feathers.
That was the easiest room for me lol. I beat in in like 5 tries
This level made me believe that feather controls are terrible on purpose. Even if you use a keyboard, D-pad or the control stick, it feels stiff.
On a first playthrough, constantly seeing variations of the spike drop room over and over was funny as hell.
Me: Hey this b-side is actually pretty fun!
* third subchapter enters the chat *
Me: ok jeez nevermind
1251 deaths and I'm done, wow this was incredible. This was the hardest stage for me so far but it is fair. All worth it for the happy feeling :0
1572 deaths for me before i finally finished it. Holy shit this is harder than darksouls.
Shit was so good fam, honestly it's all a blur so I'm rewatching. Every screen was hard for me, 1400 deaths but they were all good fun

Most of my deaths were probably to that laser, to beat this screen I had to figure out the pattern of where she will shoot, and go around it.
the timing on getting the momentum on those moving blocks is so unbelievably unintuitive... its driving me crazy
Just beat this today, definitely one of the most fun B-sides but also hard
4:34 I was using the feather first and wondering "wtf am I suposed to do now" damn I feel, not even stupid just like wtf was that
5:57 and 6:43 were the most painful ones mostly because of the stupid blue jump which always launched me too far but after 500 deaths I managed to do this b side, easily the most painful b side for me from chapters 1-6
If you fall he launches you too far but if you dash into it you can lower the launch power by holding towards your dash direction
1:18 I never want to see this stupid screen EVER AGAIN.
Oh wow. Would you FUCKING LOOK AT THAT. MY ROUTE WAS ABSOLUTE SHIT.
Chill, it is not that bad
1122 deaths and I feel like 500 of them were from 4:40.....

That room took me so long. Has to be responsible for at least 100 deaths...
definitely. same here
Just finished, finally. Only 358 deaths thanks to this guide, but I can't imagine how many more if I were going in blind. Especially at 4:40 - I don't know how I'd have figured that out.
3:26 this part made me die at least 200 times 😭
I honestly don't know how the hell I got to Badeline/Rock Bottom... making that perfect little fall through the purple spikes before that area, constantly dashing in mid-air...
I tried to do it so many times and kept dying at thr very last part. D:
It's funny though, I swear to god that as soon as I was about to give up, I said to myself "In my mind, I already beat it." and then I beat it for real. ._.
Magic, LOL. XD
took me almost 3 hours to complete this level
3:26 doing those precise jumps on the controller is such a pain in the ass
I've been replaying Celeste for the past two weeks and I'd been moving at one chapter a day on average. Today I got to Reflection and I was only able to get to the first checkpoint before I'd had enough.
Incidentally, this B-side is what made me abandon my first playthrough.
Hours of progress lost when I tried to check my death counter by returning to map when it isn't explained that you can't start at your current room once you leave. I'm never playing this again. The previous checkpoint is like half way through the level when I was at the final room. I was at 4500 deaths if you were curious.
This was the hardest level thus far. I died a total of 650 times which is a lot more than my deaths on the previous levels.
Hardest B-Side for me. Had to save it for last. Thankfully the hardest parts are front loaded. Once I was got past the moving blocks I was relieved to be doing careful dashing around spikes
two and a half fuckin hours with this b-side
such good level design
I just came here, and my brain.exe has stoped responding, help
Came to this video after dying at least 200 times at the 6:43 room to check if any other people were also ranting about that ungodly room, to muster up the courage to go back to it. Seriously, I don't know if it's just because I'm trying to control feathers on a keyboard, but that room is fucking ridiculous.
I died almost 1800 times in a row, and quit because I was like "It just won't end and the dlc just came out! I wanna play it! I'll come back." Watch a playthrough to find out I was on the second to last screen 😅...😢... Song still makes me cry though
My controller was starting to fall apart too, so being precise became increasingly difficult!
Managed to beat this level after 1162 deaths. I knew the level was over as soon as Badeline was sniping at me from afar just like in the original level.
