As a person with MS thank you for sharing, I’ve had it for 25 years and thank my country 🇨🇦 for a healthcare system allowing me to concentrate on healing and not worry about the cost

I remember watching him work those long hours during the presidential elections. He did all of that with MS. I have an autoimmune disorder and know the struggle. So much respect for this awesome human! 🙏🏾

MS brain. Forgetting what you are saying, or thinking, mid-sentence. Heat! Tripping over anything, even a USB cable if you do not lift your feet when walking. Fatigue. Sometimes, many times, I have all three symptoms on the same day, but I, like all of us with MS, still find a way to live my life.
I was my mother’s care taker for the last 15 years she suffered from MS. I will add you to my prayer list. 🙏🏻

My disease is chronic depression, but only another depressive can know what it is like. Diseases like MS are physical so are relatable. Not that I would trade places with John King, but no one blames him for his disease and presumes to tell him to pull up his socks or just looks puzzled or changes the subject. They can't relate.

If you took this gene therapy good for you, then you don't need to worry about those who aren't. It should be a choice. Natural immunity should be allowed. Exclusions for health, religious reasons, etc. should be allowed. True statics should be told, reported, & not covered up. Optional prevention & treatments should be allowed. These shots still have side effects so they have risks involved and there should be no censorship like there is now. Drs should be allowed to treat their patients the way they think is most appropriate for them & not fear losing their license. Also, Col. Powell didn't die of COVID. I've had family members who had COVID that recovered without hospitalization. 1 vax (mandated) ,1 not (wife was mandated). I'm not & will not take this gene experiment. Mandates are unconstitutional & against take Vit D3, B complex & other supplements & have for yrs. Get my flu vax yearly. Have visited friends without masks, one who has been homeless on & off, diabetic since this started & have not had COVID.& even have commodities including a heart attack last year from an electrical problem with my heart, not a plague build up problem (thanks to taking CoQ10 for the last 10 yrs-Dr. recommended & chromium picolinate for my thyroid instead of thyroid med). You say we should have open & honest debates but CNN, MSN, etc. hasn't done that because that doesn't fit the narrative & you know this. Those who have tried lost their jobs with you, MSN, etc. So good luck with having open, honest & fair debates. I'll believe it when I see it.

I’m normally the person that only goes to the doctor when I am on my death bed, but I was terrified of spreading it to my elderly mother. I hate needles, but I’ve been stuck three times now. This is not for me, but for the ones that I love.

The looks on John Berman's face during this whole conversation where pretty much "I had no F'ing clue", "What?!", and "I can't believe what you just said." I know my reaction to a friend telling me this would be the same. The amount of surprise would be incredible.

Consider me blown away by John King’s modesty thru all this. I have a cousin who has MS and i cant imagine what she and the millions of ppl who have this disease are going thru.
Mentally too....and not just those who are immunocompromised, but the elderly, would certainly have felt at times throughout all this that there's prominent people actively arguing that their lives don't matter. That as long as it's only people like them dying, there's nothing for the rest of us to worry about. Thats got to be hard.

As a person with a chronic invisible illness, I deeply appreciate John King talking about the reality of this experience. He was eloquent in describing this and believe me... we need more of this. The invisibility and people not believing it or understanding it, is one of the most difficult aspects of living with any invisible chronic illness. The bravery and strength involved in continuing to do your best and keeping on, despite the impediments (invisible to others) is huge. Bravo, John King. Wishing you many years of continued good luck and best treatment and also rest when you need it.
Cnn started the vaccine scare they said it when Trump got the vaccine cnn said I will never take a vaccine under Trump.....look it up it's called propaganda.
I am in the same situation. If I got Covid I would probably die. I am fully vaccinated, including the Pfizer booster, but I still wear a mask whenever I am indoors in public or near another human. People seem to need to experience something themselves in order to believe others in that situation. Be on crutches or in a wheelchair temporarily and you will have much more respect and consider for those with such disabilities permanently.

I'm tired of being a person not vaxxed for valid medical concerns reasons, who is socially distanced and wears a mask. I'm also tired of having a masters in public health and having less educated people tell me how I put them at risk - no, if you are vaccinated you are (supposedly) protected and put me at risk, you can still spread the virus. @@elizabethheyenga9277 a vaccinated person can only "spread" it if they come into direct contact with covid sufferers, with physical transfer. if a covid victim wore a mask it would make it harder (but still possible) to pass it over. if all able people were vaccinated it would still be able to pass around but its effective spreading would be reduced to extinction level, its how most countries removed or massivly reduced viruses like smallpox, measles, t.b., polio etc. the percentage of people in your position are and would be protected in this way, but it seems that a pushback of medical science stops many that can, getting this remedy. i feel for you if people think you're the risk, as that is just not the case, it really is down to the (by now) forcefully ignorant who continually spout anti vax bullshit and refuse to help their fellow human by getting a quick jab (or 2) or even wear a mask. i dont mind stupid if they come vaccinated, after all, we can all be stupid sometimes 😉

Ironically the mRNA technology foundation behind the BioNTech/Pfizer and Moderna vaccines is a gold mine for future treatments for just about every condition under the sun like MS and countless pthers.

I have SLE (Lupus) and I feel the same way❤️. People around me don’t know how bad I’m feeling because I try hard to hide it. I worry about everyone because you just don’t know who this can kill.

@@happeedaze1 - I had to look that up. OMG that must be so painful. I’m sorry to hear that you are dealing with that. It’s very hard dealing with health issues and still trying to function like everyone expects you to in the world. It can feel very lonely at times. I keep telling myself that I should really join some sort of online support group…at least there others will understand what your going through.
@@niixzpk8726 yeah....fighting off a head cold and now lost my voice. I'm just thankful it's not covid. Scary how this cold got thru....hubby has it too and one of our kids too. We were being so careful. Everyone is getting better but for me probably another several days. It never had a cold for two years and usually get 3 to 4 a year among dealing with all the Ankylosing Spondylitis issues. Thankfully I'm on some awesome medications to slow it down. Been a rough month so far though as change of season is usually difficult.
I was in some support groups before covid and one online which is good. Right now I am on a break from FB as it really hurt to see who was anti vax. I just did not have the energy to argue with them....people I never thought would be that way....scary.
I have a genetic disorder that causes a compromised immune system. It’s hard when people don’t understand. Every day is a battle. A month after having a cold I am still battling to recover. Thankfully I tested negative for COVID-19. The last few days have been a huge struggle. I have made it from my bed to my chair in my bedroom due to the orthopedic issues that are also caused by my genetic disorder. I have to be so careful of where I go due to the pandemic and living in a high transmission area of my state. I don’t know what to say to my family and my staff at my day program for adults with Autism since I struggle every day.

Thank you John King for bringing this to the forefront. Hopefully, more people who are vaccination shy will have a light go on in their head and or heart when they come to realize it’s not just about them. I’ve always admired how hard you work and it’s amazing how you manage to be so professional.
About standing for so long on a hard surface during elections…cooks and others who stand in their feet for hours use padded surfaces. There are all kinds and colors. Maybe that would help♥️
A vaccine will not stop MS and will not cure MS. This information is Incorrect and misleading. MS is not the Mumps or Measles it's a condition that's inhererited from parents and or family lineage. Do your own research and you will see the truth.
