Kacey is so outside of the norm when it comes to a females in country... sometimes I love it sometimes I don't. However I have to say she has got to be one of the best songwriters in Nashville right now. Her lyrics are just so smart and witty. I hope she keeps it up cause she's a breath of fresh air in country music right now.
All I think about when I hear this beautiful song (or any of Kacey's songs) is SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER. She will forever be the soundtrack of all of my summers. This album, Pageant Material, is especially important. The lyrics and the melodies will never get old because they're so clever and well-done. Long live the new queen of country music!

This summer I will be seeing Kacey Musgraves in Aspen, Colorado at Belly Up Aspen with my best friend! I was lucky enough to see her when she came to Denver at the Ogden Theater. She and her band are such amazing entertainers!!! Can not wait to see her again. :)

Now, I am a true country music fan. I have listened to country my whole life, so I am pretty sure I know what REAL country sounds like. Also, I'm from Texas, so, yeah. Country is more common in the area I live in. :P Anyways, I have never heard of her before. I just clicked this video. I just wanted to say that I like the fact that some of the more "traditional" country sounds are in this song. Not all those loud drums and pop noises. It seems like she is keeping country more original. I hate modern country, but I might give her music a chance. And that is a LOT for me to say.
