I am interested but have no clue where to start without looking at the tools you use and trying to look them up at the hardware store. It really depends on the orientation of the casted piece (and its shape) in the mold or the molds orientation when you pour if such a hole is nesasary. Usually its a good idea but the way i pour these its not needed.

    sandeels and herring. It is for coastal fishing for sea trout mostly. I'm looking for some good materials for lure making, so where do you buy the stuff ? I tried the CS2 silicone, but it is quickly worn out when you make a number of baits. I´d really like to try anew form of silicone.

    hey man Last question:))) when it comes to the form cast burro, have you had any issues with water damage to the baits? the bait i"m making will not be sealed off the same way you did with an outer epoxy coating and i'm wondering any damage might occur to the bait due to water exposure like maybe bloating/swelling or even water absorbtion. Also, how does the durability/ hardness of the bait compare to mass produced hard baits like the plastic used on rapala crankbaits. Is it softer? If so is there something more comparable to mass produced baits you would recommend. Thanks!

    • @SolarfallBaits

      I dont have that issue, i spay little bit of mold release in the molds once in a while, that seems to help quite a bit, you could use mold oils too that are designed to combat that issue you were talking about.

      I personally would not use it because of the sap that it contains. It can seep out from the body later on

    The only problem I see on a bait that big is she going to get a monster fish and those little screw eyes you use to connect the two halves don't look very tough and look about 35 lb

    Not sure if yr willing to share. What's the rule of thumb when adding mb? Is there a percentage? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ps you have crazy skills!

    • @SolarfallBaits
      @SolarfallBaits  Před 4 lety +1

      I kinda experiment what mixture works best. it's usually between 2-4g of micro balloons for a lure of this size but that also depends on the resin your using.
