- Painting a glide bait custom lure in a rainbow trout pattern on a lure blank from Sugartitcustomlures.com using a Badger 105 airbrush and createx paint. I set the pressure at 20 psi and rinsed between colors with airbrush cleaner made from 15 to 1 distilled water to Fantastic all purpose cleaner.
good job!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video, can't wait to try my hand at some baits
Right on, I hope you have fun with this hobby. It's great creating and fishing your own baits.
👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice!
Thanks!
Looks pretty good! Nice job
How much reducer do you put in your pearl colors. My gun seems to have a problems shooting them but idk if I need to reduce more. I feel like I’ve added a bunch of reducer and it starts to spray out watery
I reduce the paint in the cup, I guess about 20% reducer. I use a .50 needle in the airbrush and it sprays pearl colors better than the 0.3 needle.
This is the best Rainbow Trout tutorial I’ve found on CZcams. Thank you! Can you please tell me about your clear coat? I’m assuming it needs to be brushed on.
I use Amazon "clear UV resin hard type" and UV curing lamps. Brush it on and cure one section at a time.
Thank you so much.
What needle size do you use? I used pearlized paint they keep clogging my gun. Any way to stop that? Tia!
A Badger 105 with a 0.5 needle works fine with pearls. Mix up the paint well and reduce the thick stuff. Sometimes you might get an old bottle and it gets really thick in the bottom of the bottle, chunks will clog the needle.
@@manresarods4947 thank you, just learned from a friend's dad he ups the psi to 40psi so he doesn't need to tin it out.
What brand of paints are you using
Createx paints here except for the white base coat, that is Goldens high flow.
What mesh is that?
The mesh is window screen.
Why not use those little plastic cups rather than constantly cleaning? Or maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about lol
You don't really have to clean between colors all the time, but there's usually a little paint left behind so I just rinse it out rather than shoot it out. Just a habit.
Dammmm Daniel lol
