Circumstances beyond your control, on paint compatibility. I'm glad it worked out with buying the second kit after parts were missing in the first one. Have a good week.
hi Ron... as i mentioned to Jeff...i think rustolium has a QC problem... i had the same problem with one of their primers... all is well at the moment .. so far .. so good... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
Nice chassis, my favorite part of the build.
hello & welcome.... i agree there is a lot of detail on some chassis.... i like the separate rails .. easier the paint... i'm still learning...thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
L👀king Good Vinn Great Progress on both builds without stepping back thumbs up!👍🏻👍🏻
hi reset... so far no issues except for paint...that has been fixed... stay tuned more updates coming.... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
Hi Vinny, great video. That paint problem is a real pain. I'm sure they will look great when you get them finished up. Thanks for sharing
Have a great day. Jeff
hi Jeff... i think rustolium has a QC problem... i had the same problem with one of their primers... there is a lot to learn when it comes to paint... i'll get there...thx 4 watching ... your support & comment.. vinny
Looks great Vinny nice job…. When will you have a layout update ? Hope your having a good summer…… Joe
Looking good
hi Dave...it's getting there... thx 4 watching & your comment.... vinny
I just received my 70 Roadrunner kit today. I'm looking forward to building it. 😎👍
I've been doing spoon tests on compatibility, but it isn't a sure thing. I had a great looking paint coat on a spoon, but same paint on a Moebius Cyclone went very bad! Some company's styrene doesn't like certain paints. 😢
hello Lance... i am a bit disappointed that i didn't realize the kit is 1:24 .. so it's a bit bigger than the Chevelle.. don't get me wrong it's a great kit ... but so far so good...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
Looks great Vinny. Thanks for sharing. Dave
hi Dave.... i appreciate you dropping in & commenting.. stay tuned more updates coming.... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny

Nice work!! I need to get me a 70 roadrunner!!
Chassis's are looking great Vinny
hi Tom....so far so good... if you ever have any suggestion please share them... stay tuned more updates coming.... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
Nice progress and bench update. Paint and primer adverse reactions are a mystery to me as well.🤔
hello David... i think rustolium has a QC problem... i had the same problem with one of their primers.. problem fixed... so far i like the revell kits for car models... they seem to have the least amount of issues....interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
That’s great work! 🔥💯🙌🏾
hello Ed... i appreciate you stopping by... so far these are going together very nicely...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
Bad news about the Roadrunner paint, That frame under the Chevelle is looking good. 👍
hi Marcus... i agree the frame on the Chevelle looks better than the Mopar ... so far .. so good...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
That sucks about the Road Runner, Vinny. I quit using Rustoleum after I had an issue with it. Plus it takes forever to dry! Both chassis are looking great!👍
hi Will....i guess it ill take a while for me to learn who plays nice with each other.... for now the paint issue has been fixed....interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
looks great Vinny
hi Jimmy.... so far i'm liking these kits... no issues except for paint... that has been fixed.... more updates coming.... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
It's not easy knowing which paints will play well together. I've been trying to stick with the same company of the paint, but even that doesn't always work. Looking good though!
hi Larry...right now i'm in the "trial & error" stage... for my car models i have been trying to stay with one of 2 companies... MCW & Mr. Color... i have not tried scale finishes or any other except for Tamiya rattle cans.. the Chevelle is painted with a rattle can & now ..so is the Road Runner... there is no reason why i didn't air brush them other than color choice...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... i used rattle cans for them also... let me know what you think when you watch the vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
These builds are fighting you at the moment marra 🤔but build on . Regards Gav.
hi Gav... i'm Italian & we love a fight... so bring it on Mr. paint...LOL... all is well with both kits at the present time...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
Painting is always a pain isn’t it? Yellow is super tough. Next time you try yellow, try a pink primer under it. Really. It’ll pop nicely. White is good too but pink just gives it a little extra.
Those chassis are looking really fantastic Vinny. Great stuff. Nice update.
hi Kyle... i don't think i've seen Pink primer... thanks for that heads up.... i'm still earning all this paint stuff on cars... totally different than military or model trains...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
@@dacuzzz6951 painting is tricky for sure. Test out some pink under yellow sometime. I have pink primer from tamiya and Mr color. I also like to use it under red. I’ll be watching for the next one!
Ya, Liquors & Enamel paints don’t like each other 😱😢 Don’t feel bad, I did the same thing years ago 😂
I would wet sand that body down, lightly and clear coat then polish it, it would look like those new paint jobs that people are putting on vehicles these days, like surface rust looking with gloss clear over it.
I personally don’t like it but it would be fun to try it with a model (BUT Don’t MIX THE PAINTS) 😂😂
Looking great Vinny!
Maybe the two paints reacted because both are primers??
I remember you mentioning that the models were of different scales, so I googled it up.
The 1970 road runner was 202.7 inches long while the 1969 chevelle was 201.2 inches long.
I thought the road runner was much longer, but i guess it is the other body features just make it look much longer!!
🤔🙂👍
hi Ralph....i think rustolium has a QC problem... i had the same problem with one of their primers.. thank you for doing that research.. the problem here these models are different scales.. the Chevelle is 1:25 & the Road runner is 1:24 ...it's too bad about the scale size.. i can get a '68 RR in 1:25 but the car that i raced was a '70...interiors for both cars will be the next vid... thx 4 watching & your comment.. vinny
@@dacuzzz6951 Yeah, I don't think the scale difference will play much a part because of the road runners low and sleek body style which actually makes it look longer than the more rounded chevelle. I think they will look fine in staging!!
👍🙂
@@dacuzzz6951 Agree with you on Rust-Oleum.👍🙂
Cool mate👍
hello ...openexhaustmodels5139... thx 4 stopping by & leaving a comment... my appreciated... vinny
