He just taught me about all the fishing nets in the ocean , so I think he is making a positive difference. Dude is intelligent and cares for the earth and his fellow human beings, big up life Ethan!
I think he's doing good by helping people who are truly homeless get help from him. Some people choose to camp in the woods but he chooses to live on the streets. He's a very intelligent guy and his minimalist living isn't hurting anyone.
That's the cleanest street/sidewalk I've seen anywhere. Thanks for picking up trash, I do also. Thank you, God Bless
Your documentaries have a certain kind of nostalgic spirit/ambiance that makes it so unique I can't stop watching them, you're one of a kind, congrats and keep going strong.
Wow, thank you! I appreciate it.
Glad you're enjoying them!
It’s his voice!! I recognize it from the guy he interviewed who lived underground and he helped fixed his computer! I love this CZcams
Watched a few of your videos..your voice carries well as a documentary type and without the higher budgets of main stream docs..have to say you do well..best of luck on your journey through this work
Thank you
I commend this dude for being the change he wants to see.
Ethan I certainly wish you the best and that you have the peace that passes all understanding.
I love him. If I lived in the city I would give hime so many fruit and veg to live on. I can truly sympathize with him. I was going through a really bad time and moved into a rudimentary cabin in the woods for a couple of years. It has allowed me to truly sympathize with folks who choose to be homeless, and those who do not. Sometimes we need a reset to allow us to understand those who have less than us. I'm a traveling scientist now, but I have been in his shoes, and it truly was an experience.
The moment on etbics towards mentally ill and how he has to help them because he is bothered by them.... This is a person beyond his time. And is found extreme because of it
All any of us can do is follow our conscience and act with best intentions. If this young man wants to try to set an example, I support the values he’s trying to live. He expresses himself very well, but what he says is going to threaten a lot of people. Obviously this way of life isn’t for everyone or even a small fraction of the population. But the less any of us consume, the better for all in the big picture and for the planet. I’ve worked with homeless people and it’s a complex issue. Any “problems” this man creates are far smaller than the ones created by the mentally ill and addicted individuals living on the streets. Naturally the NY Post is going to be hostile to this fellow because it’s great headline material and all they really care about is clicks and advertising revenue.
Ethan has a really good point about the amount of waste in modern packaging. I unpack computer systems and they are loaded with redundant plastic coverings, useless information booklets that only provide a link to the online documentation, and loads of styrofoam. I really think this is low hanging fruit manufacturers can tackle by simply re-designing their packaging to contain less waste. Failing that they can make it all out of cardboard at least it will bio-degrade.
I don’t mean to be flippant, since I support reducing environmental impact, but asking for raw vegan food donations doesn’t mean that his life is exhaust-free. It just means that he has offloaded the activities that produce exhaust to people who are giving him food and producing the food. I think he’s conflating not producing carbon exhaust himself with not producing carbon exhaust at all. His existence still ultimately depends on the earth’s resources and on the capitalist structure that produced and delivered the food to him. Disengaging doesn’t mean no impact.
We’ll said. Ethan has some interesting ideas, and isn’t necessarily wrong about polluting the oceans, but there is probably a better way to make an impact for change
Zero exhaust is a statement of direction and ideal not a statement of arrival
I’d like to do everything that I can personally do to reduce air pollution without starving myself to death at an early age
I commend you brother, being minimal and camping in the woods is one thing, but doing it in the city is another. I wouldn't be able to handle that type of atmosphere. Have a blessed day stay safe out there.
How is one self reliant when they are begging for food from others on the street? Not a bad guy but he seems to have some mental issues.
@@lorrielephew1966all modern (and primitive) food systems require some team work
I do what I can do to defend and farm the trees that produce our oxygen, some other people do what they can to defend and produce the carrots and potatoes that feed us through the winter
Keeping the city clean by going zero waste and picking up litter is the best way to promote more plant and animal life
Would be very interesting to do more mobile indoor aeroponic farming to produce my own food
I saw one lady in queens pushing plants around in carts, but I don’t see how they would really survive in the winter, that’s why I tend to just focus of the trees and the plants in the parks
The simple act of making an effort to not pollute allows more productive crops to live
Keep going. Don't bother what people say. You are Free from the chains of materialism. I wish more people were like this guy.
Including yourself?? 🤔
@@girlanonymousnah just more people 😂
@@VelvetyMoonhe doesn't want a job
@@frankihatch I know
I have created my own jobs and income streams many times
No need for formal employment or business licenses here, those would actually be more of an impediment to productivity than an aid
I would argue he has a mental issue, at the very least a very distorted view of minimalism. For the simple fact that as a minimalist he is still fully reliant (indirectly) on society: as he does not produce his own food, and shelters in human made items and lives within our human ecosystem.
His choice of course, but to really be a minimalist he would live in the wilderness.
I wish him all the best none the less.
With all due respect Richard from what perspective do you argue this? I have five years working with emotionally handicapped highschool students on a school bus, I have managed a food pantry backroom and volenteered at food pantries for years, I have visited nursing homes and volenteered as a girlscout and a member of the first coast suzuki players as a child and teenager. And I visit my street people whenever I possibly can and sit with them and feed them and fix their government phones. So unless you are with these guys all the time you don't know when they are broken and when they are just nuroatypical.
And we need all of the nuroatypical people we can get trust me. Ethan is the sort who will step in to help to his own detriment. So either get with Erik to help him or at least don't criticize please
@@songoftheblackunicorn666 Fair question. I have been in health care for a long time. However, my point is that his rationale of doing so in terms of minimalist living is not in line with minimalist living in the proper sense of the term (bush living, off grid living or even more so religious hermit etc). Therefore it is either a misguided view of the topic (fair enough but one cannot call it minimalist living) or deeper rooted mental condition. At least in my experience all but a handful of homeless people I have worked with have been there due to mental challenges and not simply socio-economic factors.
@@songoftheblackunicorn666 I am sorry that you think I am critiquing him … but you can believe as you wish. Have a good day and be well.
@@RichardT2112 the phrase fine line between genius and insanity comes to mind, however the only thing that I would ever be concerned about Ethan is him getting too sleep deprived which could happen to any human being on the planet in any stressful situation. billionaires in mansions have had mental health issues from not enough sleep. Yes the way he thinks is different from you, however the process of his thoughts are articulate and concientious, and his body language and affect are healthy so yes he thinks nuroatypically, however Einstein, and sir Issac Newton, and Mark Twain and many others including myself and my whole family for hundreds of years are nuroatypicals and although we do not think like 85 percent of the rest of the human population we are normal for us and Ethan is fine for himself.
His heart is in the right place, if his methods aren't.
What methods would you suggest then?
Great vid man very insightful
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it

I felt something resonate with this dude. I spent a short time on the streets in the UK and not being a drug user or criminal myself I found that a few of the local homeless guys were drawn to me for safety. We stuck together until we all got off the streets and drifted away. There were a few times when we had to fight people off. One time scared us so much we moved into a local woodland. This guy has so much courage ❤
I think he is trying to do his best,if he chooses to live on the streets thats his choice,he is not hurting anyone, and is helping educate people about our environment.
Definitely a consideration of my lifestyle, public demonstration and education 24/7/365
@@EthanFreckles Good luck.God bless. 🙏
being homeless while working sucks so bad except for the money. everything takes so much longer. the worst part was the free time with no friends or family or place to relax and enjoy.
Remember it well…it does suck.
for me the worst was having days off from work since I had no where to chill
I definitely appreciate his ideals here, but one thing. Zero exhaust, does he never fart??
Maybe someday I will learn how to never fart but not quite yet
I’ve talked to him over insta he’s a cool guy actually
He was nice enough when I spoke with him. I never saw his instagram, but he has some strange things posted on his facebook

wow what a conviction.
“There’s only so much pressure I’m able to take…” 😂
Pressure from the top down via mercenary police and pressure from the bottom up via addicted criminals
You would have a much better and healthier time in the woods, better sleep too...
I have lived in the woods before, if I crave it enough I will live there again
@@EthanFreckles Ticks.
“Hiding in an apartment isn’t going to do that exactly.” Yup. I want to help the same city as well. It gets cold as hell and I’ll find myself in my illegal basement apartment. Wishing I could sleep on van ally. Or that I wasn’t as disabled so I can sleep on the ground like him. He reminds me of @joeythegypsy except he’s migrated to FL now
Me and Joey were good friends for a while but eventually came to terms about some severe differences regarding smoking and vehicular exhaust
I think we both learned a lot from each other
Most efficient way to stay warm in the winter is finding a really compatible cuddle buddy
Second most efficient way is high quality winter clothing
Third most is high quality sleeping bags
What a great human.
You always have such thoughtful content.
Thank you. I’m glad you’re enjoying it
Sadly for him i doubt the other street people share his ethics or ideology. I would fear for his safety.
I think he is aware he could be beaten shot or stabbed living like this.
Yes there are many risks to be managed and some of them are violent crime
These risks keep me balanced and focussed on sustainability and harm reduction
I worry something is going to end up happening to this guy it’s to dangerous on the city streets he’s going to bump into trouble sooner or later
I hope not, but you might be right. The wrong person might decide to park next to him one night
I’ve bumped into lots of trouble, but I’m less at risk of living a life of quiet desperation
Someone needs to confront corruption and search for innovative ways to reduce harm
If you want something done well then you should do it yourself
Calling the police and expecting the military to do the fighting for me makes me feel like a lazy coward and besides paying them is expensive
If my lifestyle actions are creating unnecessary conflict that might escalate to violence and injury of myself or others then I would like to be the first to know about that and feel the direct consequences of defending them
I had to subscribe and thats saying alot because i hav e only subscried to two other people can not get enough of your videos they r so interesting u r the best thank you fot giving us the upclose and personal perspectives and experiences of others😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Thanks for watching, and your kind words. I appreciate it
Sounds like whenever he’s asked to contribute (financially) to stay somewhere he moves on. As for cleaning up as he goes, it’s Nobel, but it’s not like he has anything else to do.
by 'Nobel', you mean, you think he deserves a prize?
If people seriously want me to pay to live somewhere then I’m probably not living in a place where my presence is valued enough, time to move on to greener pastures and seek the company of more compatible people
I don’t want my environment to harm me and I don’t want my waste to harm my environment
I am suprised to see you judge him ,after watching your other videos on this channel. Your compassion and understanding should be for all . I can tell by your comments that you feel threatened by his forward thinking . Would you think more of him if he was living in a tunnel, pirating electric ect. Its funny how those guys you say are ingenious and you don't even ask this guy about his bike or any other accomplishments he may have had these past 8 years. Remember anyone could become houseless ,it seems to me he has one of the best outlooks on his situation.
it's all about the choices. he can choose to live on the streets, I can choose to love seafood
It wasnt their choice for everyone I've known that didnt like seafood
It’s all fun and games until you’ve overfished the oceans to extinction and air quality is reduced due to algae death and there are micro plastics in your body causing you cancer
I lived like that in Varanasi India for six months. It's the way most people live in India.
Should get a little bike hauler, like a micro camper.
He has a little wagon
I considered a full bike camper but then I realized it’s much better to be able to pack everything down compactly when not in use so save volume weight and improve space and aerodynamic efficiency
You are correct, unfortunately, he is having very little to no impact on others, it is also impossible to live a life of zero waste, you can reduce the amount of waste but you cannot eliminate it, we all need to buy stuff, even Ethan.
Keep the great stories coming, I look forward to them.
I agree, but zero waste is the goal i guess. So instead of just buying something (with waste), you can look for things without waste. And if there is any waste, you can also look for ways to use this waste. You don't have to throw everything away and let it become waste. (You also don't have to keep everything of course ;-)
How can you empirically measure that I am having very little to no impact on others?
If you choose to believe zero waste is impossible then of course it will be impossible (for you)
It’s very possible to buy stuff without creating any waste, many people are working diligently to build the zerowaste circular economy of the future
‘The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it’
-Chinese Proverb
Well, he is doing this by choice when we all know that most people going through such circumstances are not there voluntarily.
Amazing dude
The examples we could and all of us have a choice to be doing is stepping up as leaders and fathers on mothers among our family’s and community’s while living a spirit led life in Christ and come together in unity while bearing one another’s burdens. We can be the missionary in our own home field but that starts with our very own self. If you want to see change or make a difference be the change.
It doesn't make him a bad guy, but I detect a thick layer of self delusion fueling his whole mission
society is based on delusional thinking people think meaningless materialist items are important. living out in the street brings us back to nature i would rather live on the streets than live in a false reality called the american dream and a fake political system
He lived with girlfriends and with friends in apartment most likely free he just cant keep a roof over his head ! I don't think this is by shore
Yeah he seems to be trying to win an award for a contest he created. Validation is a drug, and this guy is sitting idle in the same spot hoarding cig butts as proof oh his validity
@@yearofthegarden OMG! Hoarding cig butts... Was wondering what he was talkin' about, with the jar of cig butts, as if he is going to recycle them, or something.
True! I thought it was just me... They cal it de LuLu now... He's def got something. There is some kind of mental thing going on, as well, I think.
How is he "radically self-reliant" when he depends on the city and citizens for everything ?
The same reason why cavemen relied on mother nature's forest and waters for food and drink, shelter, and clothing.
He’s doing what is available to him and what he believes in the best way he sees fit. Practicing our ideas is a spectrum of what we can do in the moment and what we can tolerate. It’s the same idea of why people who are anti consumerist still buy things from big brands- yes it’s not the most perfect option, but the decision is taking into account finances and resources.
Maybe he could be better picture of self reliance outside of the city, but that’s where he is now and is doing what he can given that circumstance.
Practicing beliefs isn’t about doing it perfectly, by definition, as society sees it
Being radically self reliant in the middle of NYC is a bit different than doing it in the most remote and wild parts of the world
@@EthanFreckles I get that, it's just that in my opinion one person's personal liberty ends when it is interfering with other ppls lives (loitering, etc) . I think if you want to be part of a city, rather than live in the woods, you have to contribute to the society you are in
@@aliceduanra7539 how does loitering interfere with someone else’s life?

Imagine being homeless with an optional dietary requirement?
Welcome to America
There are many homeless with dietery restrictions.
Imagine being a conscious consumer creating conscious demand for more ethical, moral, and productive food systems

Your voice reminds me of Robert Stack from Unsolved Mysteries.

Haha when you have nothing everything is yours
Why not move into the woods?
@@peekayboo7183 so he is a wimp? Get a good machete or pistol and live in a tent in the woods.
Not everyone who lives without sticks and bricks either wants to do woods or can do woods. He would have to do some Fossil fuels to live like Izzy and Shiloh and Fin and Saffron and I do. He also has his least of these to consider. I lost most of my followers because I cannot accommodate their world into the world my flock lives in. I cannot personally fit into the world Ethan lives in for more than an afternoon because Ethan's mission, needs and resources are different than mine. However I see the goodness in him and I understand why he does what he does.
Have you been in the woods?
@@6thface yeah? I like it. Its calm and nice. And no traffic noise :)
Simple, he likes city life. 😊
until real life deals him a bad hand and all his ideals will fly away and he will become dependent and have his needs covered by people who have contributed like the dishwasher or janitor who have taxes taken out of there weekly checks.
I’m out here doing more governing policing of society in one hour than most people do in a whole year
But if anyone official admits that to themselves they will feel as convicted as I do to live differently
Doing more contributing as well by working on the margins of the marketplace that are more difficult to measure with dollars and cents
Not another guy on the sidewalk. He is teaching other homeless how to coexist with people. Most people would not be all that hating of homeless if they didnt just toss their trash outside on the ground or sleep in front of businesses. If he can spread the message I feel like most people would change perspectives on how we should treat the homeless.
At least he lives in NYC, just kidding... too expreme but I love the way he thinks
I agree, he's not wrong about certain things he says, but I don't think he is having the kind of impact he is hoping for. Most folks aren't stopping to speak to him and hear his motivations
Love your motivation.
What does he do in the deep of winter to stay warm?
I think he stays on the street. If I remember correctly he had a good cold weather sleeping bag.
Warm clothes and sleeping bags plus you would be surprised what your body is capable of if you actually muster the courage to test its limits
I think he seems like a good guy.
My name is Chad Alaska. I live in a small farming town. I can say with myself homeless. I have a house but it's not mariners. My sisters, I just live here.
He wanted an hour what's going on in a small town I would visit mine
I know him 😢
Do you ever visit him?
Do I know you? Hah
Incredible how people live on the streets. Where does he wash and get money for food. He seems well spoken and intelligent. I think he needs to get a job instead of living on the streets.
Mental illness
Rents are impossible
He doesn't want a job
I don’t have the same concerns about nether region infections as females do
Changing my underwear and washing my clothes at the laundromat is enough
If people don’t like the way I smell that’s their problem not mine
Most people have been hypnotized by advertisers to wash all of the sebaceous oils off of their skin and out of their hair and led to believe that if they smell like a human that no one will love them
A careful study of the science of scent attraction will inform you that people select mates based on complimentary immune systems not perfumes and colognes
I have created my own job, employed myself and I mostly seek income that is non monetary
I wonder what his parents do and how much money they give him every month.
why? his parents don't wonder about you.
Father is an arborist, mother is a therapist
They give me much more than anyone else gives me but much less than most people receive
How he’s creating security? Yes, I agree that the police is not chasing homeless out of the sidewalk. Realistically, some people prefer not to work for anyone. The minimalist lifestyle living is not waiting for someone to puts any $ amount and buy foods. It’s just a “lazy lifestyle” & as long as anyone bothers or he asks directly it’s his rights in a democratic society as ours’.
How do you upcycle cigarette butts?
Apparently the filters can be made into plastics
@MIND 😂 I suppose that’s a possibility
Paper and unsmoked tobacco can be composted
Plastic filters can be melted down and made into durable plastic goods such as ash trays park benches and picnic tables
He has very nice teeth.
I'm going to assume the idiots who say go to the homeless shelter have never been homeless especially in NYC.
outside is way better than being in A homeless shelter in the BX or BK.
Those people have also never read the countless articles about abuse in the shelters. Just last week civil servants people were accused of identity theft of homeless people to profit from the pandemic relief fund.
Nothing wrong with minimalism. But perhaps he’s using it as an excuse to be lazy. Never work. Sleep on the street. Why not be a minimalist who creates, helps, works? Why not earn some money to make your “minimalist” life more comfortable?
Laziness doesn’t exist. It’s just society’s pressure to do more.
@@drivers99yes I agree. Even if you work full time you still can't afford shelter. It's a scam.
How do you define mental or physical laziness?
How can you accurately determine what the optimal and healthy levels of mental or physical exercise or labor are for each individual person?
Amen!!!
An interesting guy. A good guy.
He certainly has some interesting thoughts on things
shipping cigarette butts seems bad... all the exausts to ship those cigarrettes.

@@ez2u1 hmm I’m not sure, I feel like I have most of what I need, fruits and vegetables are pretty nice to have haha
I’m glad he is living according to his beliefs. I hope he realizes being a fit, tall male is why he can. A woman of average size and build would be extremely unsafe living his lifestyle. The number of elderly women becoming homeless has increased 26% since 2015.
Do a story about the Jones Falls storm tunnels in Baltimore co thru Baltimore city. Do safety research before you go.
I’ll have to look into that
Thats how people are gonna become saints in some way live life. He is intelligent, smart, good manners. He will survive anywhere.
How does he stay warm in the winter?
Smoke crack
Warm clothes and sleeping bags hot tea and hand warmers
I mean, the problem is though if he’s supposed to be at the stream minimalist then assuming this would be a productive person though as well
Supposed I would say if supposed to be he’s also self-sufficient be he’s asking for vegan diet for food then he would need to work with that and as for accommodation if he has a bike and he has something and the best thing for him to do to be able to build some kind of thing that he can sleep in and then he can cycle off and put it somewhere
My opinion is if he wanted to set an example Dont go against the norm embrace it Improve on a normal apt or house by showing diff ways to have a 0 impact. Not setting a good example outside a school either because young’s kids won’t understand what you say you are trying to achieve. Walking past him I wouldn’t get his message and go oh at least this bum is clean 😂
Many people are already doing that and I myself have already done that
Nomadism and minimalism are best
Being overly attached to things, places, and people is generally a bad idea
Being adaptable and capable is generally good idea
I can’t control very much about how I am perceived by others who see me but I can control how I think and my own actions, my conscience is the most important voice worth listening to
My message is not popular on stages or promoted in algorithms but there are always people who come to me that want me to teach them how to do things or explain things to them
I do not separate myself from others using doors, walls, or windows, instead I embrace the competition and cooperation of life by fully exposing myself to the weather, climate, and the public opinion
If anyone has a significant problem with who I am or what I do then I suppose they could easily enough do some malevolent things to me while I sleep, knowing and feeling this keeps me cautious and keeps me honest and keeps me accountable
Let me know how that works out? It's January now!
Feeling good, this is my 7th or 8th winter in manhattan, going better than it has ever gone 😁❄️
This dude needs to get a job and contribute to the community instead of taking off hard working people.
As if I’m not a hardworking people haha
How do you measure hard work?
Isn’t it more productive and beneficial to work smart anyway?
How much am I ‘taking off hardworking people’?
How many products and services and I providing to those same hardworking people without asking for payment or acknowledgment?
How many overly aggressive, zealous, pushy, rude, manipulative, and coercive taxpayer funded government service providers have I refused to accept aid from?
Someone please get Ethan an EBike with a cargo trailer attachment so he can sleep indoors outdoors.
This guy is delusional
He certainly has some unusual, extreme ideas about things
No you are are 😝
Those shifty eyes of his could be signs of schizophrenia. Which could explain why he’s doing something that is quite frankly a little irrational.
maybe... but it also could be because some folks are uncomfortable talking with a camera pointed at them. Unfortunately I had to keep the camera closer than I like to due to all the street noise

I was really concentrating on speaking as correctly as possible, this was not an action shot hah, and yeah I’m not really that accustomed to cameras and I only met Eric that day and he might have been wearing sunglasses
I’m pretty careful about what I say to people especially if I just met them and they have a camera pointed at me
He thinks very highly of himself i see
No he just has respect for natural resources and takes nothing for granted. He is a true idealist personality. He puts his money where his mouth is and is not too good to pick up cigarette butts and to council drug addicts that mess up where he sleeps with their trash activities and noise. I have huge amounts of patience, but he has vastly more than I do. As an intellectual personality I see alot of wisdom in what he is saying. And I see some definate ways I need to emulate some of what he is doing. You don't have to sleep in front of a closed store front to implement alot of what Ethan is saying.
You !!
How much money does he get choosing to be homeless?
He gets food stamps
I don’t even get food stamps, some people give me a little bit of cash here and there, but I only ask for food, if I don’t get enough food then I go eat at the soup kitchens or look for leftovers in the trash
Commendable positivity that Ethan seems to possess. Life on the street is a matter of man vs. timeclock. There is only so much that one can be exposed to. The thought more pressing is the obvious level of impact that the rhetoric; the overt lies of the current regime, and the impact that has had on the youth. This is the dark side of "Woke"-- being paralyzied. Unable to live within the current system-- one incredibly broken and fallen. This is the double bind forced upon the youth (and future) by the W.E.F., et al. So, when you think Klaus Schwab, think: this will only multiply exponentially until the majority are camping next to Ethan. This is what they mean by, "Own nothing and be happy". Though, I doubt Greta will be joining him...
The Information Age is almost over for most of us and The Space (efficiency) Age is dawning
I was with him until be starting going out about how this seafood restaurant shouldn't open because he wants everyone to be vegan.
That seafood restaurant still hasn’t opened yet haha because their goal is not to make the world a better place but instead to make money
Is this an Onion News segment 😂 this honestly plays like a skit, extreme minimalism = being homeless hahahahahaha.
He can easily sleep on a side street 😂
He seems to really pride himself on policing the homeless drug addicts on the side street though. Much easier to do that on the Main Street.
Sleeping on side streets usually means sleeping outside of people’s houses they are usually much more territorial/threatened about that so I tend to sleep on main streets outside of vacant storefronts near construction areas
In the summer there are sometimes too many people and in the winter there are sometimes not enough people
I don't get his narrative of making a difference and guiding people. I can't see a direct correlation. All I really get from his words and actions is that he prefers living on the streets, has some survival and recycling knowledge and is self taught. You could go to an extreme and say he is a fake hobo that feels superior to the lot he compares to.
That said, he sure seems to handle homelessness well.
Also: a Hobo that knows he's going to be supplied with vegan food is such a first world country thing. Almost like a parody.
I respect his lifestyle choice but can’t help but wonder how much toxic fumes he’s breathing in 24/7.
He is houseless, not homeless.
😄😄
Are you the mayor of California?
My bike is my micro mobile home
Poor dude. Literally
My idea of wealth is living without having to use government money (dollars)
Big oil created (a very successful) marketing campaign in the 70s that coined the term the 'carbon footprint'. It was a way to pass the burden that corporations had for extorting the planet's limited resources and releasing carbon from the ground into the air on to everyday people who had no say in the matter. This is continuing today. I think Ethan is perhaps a good example of taking that to the Nth degree. It also seems that Ethan suffer from some mental disorders. He seems fidgety, almost like he is dealing with OCD, and talks about helping people in collective, idealistic terms. If you study a lot of eco terrorism, they share similar beliefs. They generalize an oppressed group that is working collectively against some nameless and faceless corpo facism and will rope in almost anything as an example of why most people are part of the problem, leaving only themselves and the life that they live to be the true solution. I hope Ethan can get whatever help that he needs and maybe even a proper bed and a supportive friend group that can hear him out. I don't think you dedicate your life to this unique solitary form of self-torture if you're living in a healthy relationship with others.
I really don’t mind spending a lot of time alone because I can regulate my own emotions pretty well and I do like myself as I am, most people don’t have anything that I really want anyway as I prefer to do things for myself rather than perpetuate codependency cycles indefinitely
Mood
How does he make money?
Where does he poop and bathe?
On the street
There's parks and public places with bathrooms
People usually just hand me a little cash but I have concentrated on reducing my financial expenses to the point where I don’t have to think much about how to collect dollars
I much prefer to live without money and ask people directly for the things I want or need if I can’t find them or make them myself
I poop on newspaper usually after dark or before light using some umbrellas for some privacy, roll the waste into a burrito and seal it in a plastic bag
I don’t shower much, washing laundry and exfoliating with a brush is usually enough
Good to keep the oils on the skin instead of washing them off
I don’t have the same risk of infections that females do
Homeless vegan is bizarre. 🤦♀️
How bizzare haha
Welcome to the real world
Your brother? 😉
😂 I’m giving my red bearded people a platform
Im all for extreme minmalism but this dude is going to disappear into thin air the way hes going about it
Let’s hope that isn’t the case
Going strong 8 years in 💪🏻🚲
If you’re not going to work for someone else you have to be good at working for yourself. He does neither. The nature of our society you have to work to survive whether that is raising your own cattle and farming or working in a cubical.
You say I do neither
I say I do both
Maybe you’ve been programmed to work so that you will be a good and exploitable employee and I haven’t
If he wants to live that way he should move into the forest and stop being a burden on hard working producers. What he is doing should be illegal.
How am I being a burden?
Why don’t you value what I produce?
Sleeping in public should be illegal?
Accidentally fall asleep in the library and it’s handcuffs for you?
How do you define hard work?
Isn’t it more productive and beneficial to work smart?
