Agreed. Sad music often sounds very epic anyway, that's why I like it.
When I'm sad, sad music makes me empowered somehow lol
Same man same. I don't listen to cheery music, cuz the energy wears me out.

I feel horrible just laughing at this.

Children are truly wonderful.
I’ve been to a frog funeral. It was just me but I like to think I made an okay ceremony for them
Dying before your death is the greatest tragedy of existence... To be alive, but to have no life left...

"I just want to feel something other than nothing, so I let myself be sad, with the hope that it will eventually turn into happiness, but it never does, and it never will. So I give to you this child of mine. Take care of him, and bring him the happiness that I was never able to achieve. Show him a mother that will love him unconditionally, just as I do."

And you
@@Rosiiiiiiie Where can I read the rest of your story?
All these comments complaining that "kids" don't appreciate classical music or that it is becoming obsolete. Sorry, you feel that way, but many of us love this music.
This music touched people's souls hundreds of years ago just as it does now, and will hundreds of years from now.
YES
i loved this type of music since i was 8
Ike it’s so annoying to hear adults saying we don’t appreciate “good” music. Lol like at least we actually appreciate the environment.
i am a kid and i really like classical music
You ruin it by making this kind of statement, anyway. No one cares what you like. The fact that random comments on a youtube video incense you enough to make a comment perfectly exemplifies your childishness. I think it further exemplifies the disdain older generations have for you, as you feel so self-important that you believe your likes or dislikes must be defended against random people.
Just saying.
Fair chance no one's ever gonna read this, but I need to get it off my chest either way, so this place is just as good as any. Make of it what you will.
Long, long ago, when I was but a wee little Inge, I used to record music to cassette tapes. Had my own little radio, a whole set of tapes and too much free time on my hands.
The classical music station was a favorite of mine and I'd nicked many a song off of it and onto my little tapes. There was one song in particular that moved me like no other but I didn't catch the announcement of what it was. Years went by and the tape was long lost but I sporadically tried to find this one piece of music that used to move me so much.
Tonight I clicked on this video and right at the start, there it was. The track I'd replayed so much the cassette ended up damaged. Just as beautiful as I remember it.
ooh, we're so happy we helped you rediscover the Adagio, Inge! Thank you for sharing your story with us. 😊
sweet
I am moved by your story
this is amazing
Adagio for strings in B - flat minor.
Sometimes its the best medicine to cry your heart out because it gets so hard to stay strong and pretend that nothing is wrong... But on the inside you scream hoping and praying that some how it would be ok
🖤
There is nothing wrong with crying . And getting sad , it's honest and natural. But no one can be sad forever . As much as joy passes and sadness takes over. Sadness passes and joy takes over.
@@spmoran4703 Yes, when we can accept this then we can experience peace about it.
Decided to play this to get all my emotions out before the horrendous day I’m facing tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the day the vet comes to my house at midday and puts my dog to sleep.
She will be surrounded by myself and my grown children.
You can see this as a speck of grief. … I will tell you it’s not.
She comforted us when we were abandoned. … She never left my side when I had cared for my father with cancer.
My dog gave us pure love. … Tomorrow she leaves us.
And I somehow have to face my 10 year old autistic daughter.
God. Please help me have strength, if my doggie companion could do it, so can I. 🙏

This is a beautiful piece of music one that has a special but sad place in my heart. My Son died 20 years ago at the age of 7 weeks and I had been listening to this piece around the same time. Whenever I hear it it brings him back to me just for a few minutes, I see him playing in the garden running towards me and just as the music finishes he disappears. I post this not particularly for anyone else but for myself as I have never spoken about the day he died to anyone.
You’re a strong man. Stay happy for us all 💪🏾
I'm so sorry
Much love for you ❤️
Thats so awful, stay strong and remember the happy moments
I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. I'm sure he knew how much you loved him. It sucks losing a child. My son died in my arms this January. He was 10 yrs old. I'm on 2 different antidepressants to get through the nights as nighttime is the worst for me. You have a blessed day. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
it's like having a friend who can understand why I am sad.
Used to think loud music motivates me better than any other type of music, but sad music feels like an invisible embrace in a very dark place. Helps me sleep better, helps me calm down and helps me see myself better for who i am.
In school we had to make a stop-motion and my two best friends and I chose to make a stop motion about World War 2 with action figures. Each of us had a voice role. We wanted the sergeant to die at the end so we told our teacher and he said it was a great idea. But the only problem was we couldn’t find the right piece of music. Then our teacher told us we should use this song and it was perfect. This song went so well with the sergeant dying a hero’s death. Now whenever I hear this I think of our successful stop-motion. Shoutout to Mr. Jamie!!! Best teacher I’ve ever had so far
I lost my dad to a heart attack not too long ago. Something about this music reminds me of him and everything I did with him as a kid growing up. He wasn't the best father, but I miss him and wish I could've seen him one last time.
im so sorry for your loss...
In all sincerity so sorry life sometimes is shite my mum and dad within 8 months life isn't fair but be strong x
I lost my dad last week to cancer. Makes me smile to see someone else turn to classical music to feel close to their dad.
What the hell kind of thing is that to say about your father
I lost my Dad to a stroke a few years ago and I think of him when I hear beautiful violin music. He hated it. We grew up Amish and he was not impressed with my appreciation for classical music. It’s okay Dad, I forgive you!😉

I'm not religious or particularly spiritual but when I hear music like this, it makes me feel like there's more to it all and life is a far more connected experience then we realize. Everything is chaotic in nature and the fact that we get our moment to make these harmonies all produced by the human mind and passionate hearts gives me hope that our existence is more meaningful then coincidence of universal law. Of course music taste is subjective, but I believe that instrumental music is THE language of the soul.
There something about the classical music genre that moves the spiritual environment so easily. No other music western music could compare to this.
could not agree more with you.
This is one of the better comments I have read on You Tube. I for one appreciate your honesty. I am not religious either but I am spiritual. In my opinion this part of your post we all as humans should read and heed to the fullest. " and life is a far more connected experience then we realize." Then we (the Human Race) might then have a chance. Thank you for your words.
Nothing is chaotic. Everything happens for a reason. Luck does not exist.
This universe is much more bigger than mere randomness.. my advise for you is to look for the truth within you, not inside books. Today your soul recognized the spirituality of instruments, I hope by tomorrow, your soul will recognize the light of Allah.
I know that I have no right to complain about my life because most of the people I love and care about are still alive but this music brought me back to someone very special to me, my drama teacher, that one day just quit her job and moved away to a different school. She had only been there for about six months but she meant the world to me and she taught me so many life lessons I will never forget.
I’m a 12 year old and I play piano and violin and I really enjoy this music as well as I enjoy other music 😊

all of these comments that are obviously full of selfishness, talking about groups of people appreciating music. None of this matters. The only thing that should matter is how the music feels to you. Never should you feel the need to justify your appreciation of art. Just enjoy and move on.

But some how, it brings more emotion and passion into it. This music touches my soul strongly.
we don't find it weird at all, Yuri - in fact, we think it completely makes sense. Strong emotions inevitably influence our art! We hope you're not feeling sad too often, though :)
How can sad make you so happy?
Because we have been deceived by so many fake joys.
When we're sad, it makes us feel that perhaps this is real.

I agree. More and more. Life starts to become a struggle to feel long lost joy. To avoid the pain and emptiness all the while. And keep your loved ones thinking you're getting better, so that they can stay with you. I'd be purposeless without love.
Sometimes when I feel overly stressed and feel pressured like the worlds got it out for me and there’s absolutely nothing I can do about it, I like to put on classical music lay on my bed and be one with the music. Honestly music especially classical is one of the best things humanity has created
Clair de Lune will always be my number one favorite piece. Such a beautiful song to listen to ❤️
I live high in the remote Rockies. It's January and cold, and snow has covered the ground for weeks. It's late afternoon and the snowy mountain that I live at the base of, is fast becoming obscured by the snow storm that is moving in. The Ponderosa Pines' branches are swaying in the cold wind. The Pathetique is playing. Such perfect beauty.

I am sorry that Buddy is no longer with you. That old song A four legged friend . They never let you down . Is so true Buddy never let you down death did . I could not imagine life without my cat Millie.
But , there is a Celtic legend that of the rainbow bridge . Were animal pets that are no longer with their owners/friends wait until the day they meet the owner /friend . Then they both cross the bridge into the heaven . It's just a legend, but what if it was true?
People of all ages are able to recognize beautiful, truly good music. One doesn't need to understand how old a piece is to appreciate it. Beauty is beauty, throughout all of time. Each person interprets it differently, regardless of age.
Hi Christine, we completely agree with you! Music is such a wonderful thing, without restrictions of space and time... 😊
Just sitting here and closing my eyes and focusing on the different levels of the music and what the composer must have felt while writing this music is extremely therapeutic. I may only be 18 but classical music has been such a huge part of my life and is sometimes the only thing that encapsulates what I am feeling at the moment. The ability to sit down at my piano and just express how I’m feeling at the moment is something I wouldn’t trade for the world 😌
Some are sad when they hear this playlist, some are depressed, and some are absorbed by its heavenly melody, but I feel a peace, a peace that reveals to me that I have nothing to fear, and a peace that reminds me that there will be happy and sad times in my life. I have peace not from within the music or from my own doings, but from His. I have TRUE peace... do you?
Adagio for Strings... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing else like it. Hauntingly beautiful.
except maybe Death of Ace, by Grieg, from Peer Gynt Suite !!!
This kind of music keeps me, relaxed. I'm so stressed out about life. Thanks for sharing.
we're sorry to hear that, David! Hope whatever's wrong gets better soon.
This music is so peaceful it helps me get through hard days in life where I just push myself to keep going because the ending will be beautiful. I make other people feel better but I don't care for myself. To all the people in my life, I love you and I don't know how to show it, I hide my feelings away because you will not care, and you think I will just get through it. I have been keeping my feelings from you for a very long time, I just don't want you to feel sad for me. That's my job, I listen to music like this because it helps me forget my life and just enjoy the notes being played, it's a time for me to show emotion. I just wish we could all be on the same page, and talking about our feelings together as one, I know sometimes it's hard for you to accept my opinions on certain things, but I just want my feelings and opinions to be heard.
To all the people who are feeling the same way I am, we are in the same boat rowing across this stormy ocean together.
though your gone, you've left your mark. though I've never met you, you understood me more then anyone else.
your work was more then enough, it's amazing how much words could effect someone patterns of thinking, how your ink was the emotion, the pain, your thoughts, and everything. your impact was a great clarity. a short feeling of serendipity. my love for poets and the art of writing will never cease to amaze me. I hope one day I'll be able to impact you with just a piece of paper and the ink of my emotions

I absolutely couldn't agree with you more. It's more captivating than sad. It makes you have an outlook on life. And has you come up with ideas you never thought would come out of you. I love it when this happens to me and other people, its called aesthetic melancholy.
Very true
Right now I'm loosing everything what is important to me in my life. So this music hits the right spot for me.
I was 12. Music class. College. The music teacher Professor Faes played this. I cried and was unstoppable, me the lass who always laughed . I called the adagio the pain of the world. Many years later, at the end of a program about the Vietnam war the English presenter said : adagio for strings: for the pain of the world, not just Vietnam but all wars.
The Life is so beautifull!
Musik is life and life is love ❤️
I'm only 17 and have had many troubles recently, this touches me in a way I can't explain and it really helps the pain. Peices like these help me sleep and actually fully relax and just let all the hurt and pain fade. On the day of my funeral I'm going to have this compilation played without a doubt
Hey man, life is a roller coaster. I've been on this planet for only 29 years but it always has its ups and its downs. Hang onto things like this music. It won't cure the pain, but it helps soothe it. It will remind you of the beautiful things in life as well as those moments lost in time. If things are bad, they will get better.
Dear @thatDriverGuy, I am 56 and recently have been thinking/realizing that there had been many very very difficult times of life and mostly they are now things of the past. Some I have actively solved, some I have lived through. Some say 50's are years when the life is happiest. At least in my case this is true. But when I look at those difficult years I come to think "if they were not there I would not be this satisfied, this relieved, this happy". And agree that things are meaningful with their opposites. I think it is easier to see from here that those difficult times were meaningful and if they were not there I would not be this content today. It is difficult to tell such things from 39 years of distance but please give an ear; life can be seen and given meaning from very very different perspectives. And one of them is the perspective that those difficult times are there to mature us. My best wishes for you.
Beauty described in music. This is what makes you feel alive, what brings out other emotions. This is life.
All the people saying young children don't appreciate this amazing music...........I have an 8 year old that thrives on the classical music. He will come out of school, put the station on and relax till he falls asleep. I love this so much and he's so much like his Daddy 😊
Your comment made our day! It's always a great joy to hear that children appreciate classical music 🥰 We just put out a new mix for sleeping if you'd like to check it out with your son: czcams.com/video/NChORYXuprE/video.html
@HALIDONMUSIC
Checking it out now and thank you so much for your reply 😊
Ok people are complaining about kids not appreciating classical but I’m in middle school and I listen to this casually. Don’t judge people’s opinions and lives by their ages.
2020 - the official soundtrack
America literally not even a week in to 2021 - gonna have to make that the whole decade chief
Too calm
“Sad is happy for deep people”
Very true.
At least you understand...
Yes.
I suffer from depression at 15 years old. Somedays I wish weren't alive! But I have to go along with it, make the best of every second people. I wish you viewers much luck for the future.
I had the same feelings when I was your age, but just keep pushing. Find the beautiful things in life and learn to appreciate them.
I am a melancholic personality type, and so this playlist is perfect.
I’m not really sad very often anymore, but I find sad or melancholy music relaxing and comforting at times. When I am sad, sad music makes me feel better, because it helps me accept it, it shows me that it’s ok to feel sad, and I’m not alone in feeing sad. That makes me feel uplifted actually. Most people I tell that to don’t understand and say they experience the opposite, but I’m an INTJ (weirdo lol) so I don’t work the way most people do! But I also find rainy, cloudy, dreary days relaxing for the same reason. Just how I’m wired I guess. Isle of the Dead by Rachmaninov is probably my all time favorite piece. Always moves me. Thanks for posting the music! It’s a great selection!
You could already guess what was the first piece just by a second of hearing the first note! Absolutely amazing 🙌
Im from 1999, and I'm listening to this evergreen songs from old ages ,
Will society accept me ?
of course society will accept you, Ronak :) look at how many subscribers we have. You're not alone, and you're definitely not "weird" for listening to classical music!
Yes I agree with Halidon Music
Have never heard the second piece before, how lovely it is. I sit here all alone in my study working and this musicliterally speaks to my soul. It is god I am sure of it ! I know that sounds nutty but what else can it be. None of us are ever truly alone. Thank you for posting such stunning music. I might feel sad in many ways but somehow I am happy alone in my little world.
sorry to hear you're feeling sad, D T. As you said, though, you are not alone! We're always here if you need somebody to chat to, or simply a nice compilation to listen to. The piece that caught your attention is the third movement from Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings Op. 48. You can watch a live performance at this link - czcams.com/video/qKJ9QdEHOns/video.html. Enjoy!
@@HALIDONMUSIC thank you so much, that's very kind of you. I think all the Greats suffered from depression so I'm in good company!
ah, not just the greats - we all struggle from time to time. That's part of being human. We just need to remember there's so much beauty in the world, and love around us. :)
I like feeling sad on purpose sometimes I don’t think it’s a negative feeling. You learn a lot from it. It’s like a melancholic trance
I also miss my first crush. I still find him unique, one of a kind.
No one else can compare to the first love.
Beautiful music, makes me cry. My beloved dad passed away.
May he rest in peace.
@@spmoran4703 thanks so much
I doubt I'll come back to this comment but Randy, there are so many things that will get better. Covid isn't going to destroy your life; everything is just slowing down for a moment. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. Keep busy and I know you'll do great things. You already doing better huh? 1/2/21
Been listening to this since it came out studying for school I have now returned and graduated due to this master piece !!!
im 14 and Iove classical music
I am 15 years old and i LOVE classic music
in such a chaos we create and live in sometimes, this is really enhancing such calmness and connection to beautiful sounds and nature. I really appreciate the people who create such masterpieces on classical music
Why is there so much happiness to be found in sadness????
This makes my spirit weep and escape the confines of my body. Who says teens don't feel deeper emotions.
someone who's forgotten what it's like to be a teenager, probably :) thanks for watching, Felicia. Have a lovely day!
I think teens feel more than anyone. Time when you have your heart broken first. And think you will never recover. Don't worry, you will. But you won't be the same again ever.
Beautiful, Barbers Adagio. I don't find it over sad but peaceful and touches my soul. Why do I ruish about so much when beauty can be so restful. Thankyou.
Yes yes yes
My sister has an emotional illness and she is always depressed; she is always unbelievably sad. I can get sad, but never to the degrees she reaches. I can only imagine how could it be to get five or more times sadder than a normal person. God bless my sister forever.
Hi Ricardo, we're so sory for your sister! We're sure you're giving her all the strength she needs right now and we're sending you a massive virtual hug!
Thank you very much!!! 🙏🏻
many times I feel useless, as if I am in the way of someone ... but while people speak ill of me I try to snatch a smile from everyone's faces, then I understand that sometimes I exaggerate, but my intention is always to make someone happy more than I am, but it is precisely because I don't always manage that it makes me feel a total failure, and this music manages to release all the emotions that I would like that I keep repressed all day, and they are more than I thought.
Sadly all classical music is becoming more obsolete in the world today but who's with me in the fact that it will be kept alive through us
I don't understand how it is becoming obsolete. I feel that more and more people are beginning to listen to classical music.
Pray for longevity... for ourselves and for this music.
classical music isn't going anywhere, it's survived this long and i'm p sure that'll stay that way
shawnrusselld thats because mainstream music is getting intolerable. It was still possible to enjoy contemporary songs up until 5 years ago or so.
I disagree, I think the introduction of media and the interconnection of everything technological has only made our awareness of classical music even stronger. Its not going anywhere any time soon trust me.
Though it's sad it is still so relaxing
I liked this music. Sometimes we hate ourselves because of a beloved who has passed away. The truth is that the beloved does not leave unless he dies from the world and from us.💔
I like being able to be moved to the brink of tears by music. It gives you a sense that music has the power to do many things. Whether it be making you sad, angry, or even joyful. Music can do many great things.
