- I am INCREDIBLY excited for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie aka Shadow the Hedgehog movie! While we know a bit about the film, there is still a TON we don't know! Here are some of ideas on what can down in this 3rd Sonic Movie!

Both Amy and Rouge appear in Sonic Adventure 2 (which introduced Shadow to the franchise) so it's most definetly a fact that she'll appear in some capacity.

5:58 - Here's the thing. I don't think we're getting Metal Sonic in this movie. We might get him in a later movie, but not this one. Keep in mind we're already getting Shadow, so we've already got the situation where Sonic is going to meet his match. That is at its base level the purpose of Shadow, to give the hero their counterpart. Adding Metal Sonic into this movie likely wouldn't be as impressive, especially since we'd already be focusing on Shadow being the featured character. So Metal Sonic would feel like an afterthought in this movie. So I think they'll save him for another movie (if there are more).
The other reason I don't think they'll use Metal Sonic here is because you need to have a big reason for both of them to turn Super at the end (unless they go the Sonic X route and have Shadow turn Super and remove his limiters at the end). Would Metal Sonic really be enough of a threat to BOTH of them to warrant this, let alone to have Shadow remove his limiters? I just don't see it.
I think it'll be some big thing that requires both of them to be in their Super form to deal with. It might not be the Bio Lizard, but it'll be something. Maybe Robotnik will weaponize the entire ARK colony and that will be the big bad they need to stop. That's kind of what he tried to do in the games anyway.

It would be more hilarious if the screen went black and then we suddenly heard...
"It's no use!"
*Silver appears to start chasing Sonic*
In the post credit scene
"The Planet Egg is in danger"

Yeah, I know this probably can't happen (at least I don't think it can), but peoples' hearts would definitely skip a beat if they heard that line in the mid credits scene.

4:00 - That is an interesting thing. I didn't even catch that with the Knuckles trailer or the first two movies, but the tubes that the quills are in actually DO look like Chaos Drives. This is actually not too surprising, because Chaos Drives seem to exist in some capacity across most continuities (and are even mentioned briefly in Sonic X).
And the thing is, it actually makes sense. If you consider that Sonic and his friends all came from the same planet, then the chaos energy that is constantly there in that world could have genetically been inherited by many of the creatures from there. It would also explain why Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are so fast. While Sonic is the fastest member of the trinity, Tails and Knuckles still have incredible speed. It would make sense if the chaos energy from their world affected them on a genetic level.

Everything we have heard about this movie so far, I’m already super hype. I could talk for hours about what this movie will be like, got lots of hope for this movie like the last ones, adapting adventure 2, keeping at a good pace with all the characters, not being affairs to go into the darker stuff etc 💙❤️

In terms of Shadow's VA, as long as Shadow sounds "dark" & "mysterious," like he's suppose to be, I don't really care who voices him. As long as they get his voice right. The true final boss being Metal Sonic, is a pretty smart move! I can see both Sonic and Shadow going up against Metal! I don't think that's ever happened before in any media. But if the Biolizard is the true final villain, I wouldn't mind that either. I mean come on! THAT big ass thing in LIVE ACTION! That would be incredible! I played SA2 SO MUCH as a kid, and that Biolizard boss scared me and kicked my ass! I had so much trauma lol so FOR ME, to see my childhood monster that scared me so much in live action, would blow my freaking mind in the theater! I agree Rouge would be a nice addition. I can't imagine seeing Shadow without Rouge tagging along. They both make such a great team, they are Team Dark after all. And Rouge does understand Shadow more than any character in the series. I GUESS I can see Amy in the movie. But I wouldn't know how much she would do. Aside from her reminding Shadow what he promised Maria. Putting in all the Black Doom stoylines would be a bit too much, and this is coming from someone who loved Shadow The Hedgehog game (DON'T JUDGE ME!). I think SA2's story alone would be enough for the film.
If Metal was added it would be similar to Sonic Heroes which alone is already stacked with MANY characters for a single movie to provide enough screen time so i doubt it'll be possible to insert Metal "somewhere" in the plot without feeling too overwhelming for the movie's 2 hour long runtime. That said i do feel it would be possible to throw a Metal Sonic easter egg here or there as a neat teaser for his appereance in a future sequel.
There are alot of ways they could do Shadow's voice and still make him wound dark and broody. So I'm not worried. Jeff Fowler knows what he's doing.
I would think it would be funny for shadow to be voiced by one of the ducktails voice actors Huey or Louie since Sonic is voiced by the actor who plays Dewey
1:15 - Honestly, given that the movie is likely going to be more about Shadow than Sonic, calling it Shadow the Hedgehog is probably not too out of line. Shadow is one of the most well developed characters in the franchise (at least when written properly), and has one of the largest storylines attached to him as a result. So it stands to reason they would spend alot of the movie on him.

HMK and Jeff Fowler have something in common. Shadow is their favorite Sonic character. I definitely have high hopes for this movie.

I think only Shadow and one other character is going to be in the movie. Keep in mind, each movie introduces 2 Sonic characters each into this cinematic franchise.
1. Sonic and Dr. Eggman
2. Tails and Knuckles
3. Shadow and most likely Amy.

I imagine if this movie does good they'll greenlit a "Shadow the Hedgehog" spinoff with the Black Arms aliens as the villains maybe with other Sonic villain like Infinite.

I honestly don't mind if they gave Shadow a more gruff voice, as long as his personality and character aren't lost to it. But David Hayter would also be a good pick.
I hope that both Amy and Rouge get added in for the same reasons that you said because it all makes sense. Though if it works out and Amy does get added in, please may she NOT get shown as an annoying fan-girl stalker to Sonic in it!!! Lots of people will just go back into hating her and wish that she hadn't have been put in that movie if she's shown with that personality during the climax of it! I also don't want this to be another problematic Sonic X situation by Paramount having some human character who debuted in the movies remind Shadow what Maria was wishing for him to do before she got shot, please may they stay faithful to the videogame source matirial of SA2 and have Amy do that.

I don't know why they would put Metal Sonic in if they are already going to have Shadow though. It kind of defeats the purpose if you bring in both of them at the same time, because they effectively serve the same function, which is to have Sonic meet his match. So if they were ever going to use Metal Sonic, I'd say the fourth movie at least.
I’m ready for this movie. One other actor I think could also work as Shadow is Michael Fassbender.
My hope is that they show plenty of Maria and make us really get attached to her so that we're just as devastated as Shadow when she dies. That's one thing the original game did not do very well.
Also, I'm gunning for Hayden Christensen as Shadow. He would do a great job.
God it's so crazy that we've gotten to this point when you consider how it started and how wrong it could've gotten. But not only did we did get good Sonic moives we got them from people who clearly understand Sonic AND reminded Sega how special these charachters are. The fact that Jeff fowler and the writers keep pushing themselves with each movie is also why I'm not worried at all for Sonic movie 3. Jeff Fowler will understand how beloved Shadow and SA2 are to people considering his history and all three of them are very good at listening to fans as well. I personally had no issue with the wedding stuff but I'm fully aware I'm not the majority and the team will have taken that critique into considertion during the writing portion.
Bottom line I have so faith in this next movie and if it goes over well it'll be a big boost for Shadow as well. And now the movie's got positive momentum flowing into it from not just the past 2 movies but other media as well. While nothing has been perfect they've still been pretty good and this will really help Sonic 3's box office. I'm still holding out hope that Jason Grifith comes back to voice Shadow, I know it's a long shot but until they say otherwise I'm keeping the hope damnit. But if we don't get Jason then I'm rooting for Hayden Christensen to get the role.
An amalgam metal sonic would be a cool villain for the movie
It would be a little too similar to Sonic Heroes so i don't know if it would be possible to make an adaptation of both SA2 and SH with so many character which need a proper introduction into the Sonic movieverse.
I feel Oscar Issac would be a great voice for Shadow. When I heard his voice as Miguel O’hara in Across The Spiderverse, I felt like he radiated a lot of Shadow The Hedgehog energy.

I think it makes sense for Amy to be in the movie because the first movie was about finding a family, the second movie is about friends, kinda makes sense for romantic love to be the theme of fhe 3rd movie
Exactly plus she was very much relevant in Sonic Adventure 2 what with her been the one who reminds Shadow of his promise to Maria making it impossible for her not to have _some_ relevance in this explicitly obvious movie adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2.

I would prefer if they saved Metal Sonic for a Movie 4 inspired by Sonic Heroes. I do not want Metal Sonic to be given the Venom treatment for Sonic 3 where he's shoehorned in the last minute. And I think it would be cool, if Jim Carrey decides to retire after Sonic 3, for Sonic 4 to pull a DBZ Android 13. Meaning that even though the mad scientist is gone, his Super Computer is still carrying on his will. Have Eggman's Computer be voiced by Mike Pollock analyze Sonic & Co. and produce stronger machines throughout the film to destroy Sonic and his friends. First Silver Sonic is made, then Mecha Sonic, then Metal Sonic, then Neo Metal Sonic, and finally Metal Overlord!
I personally think Sonic heroes would work better as a tv show adaptation if they do a live action Sonic series since theres a heaps load of characters in that game, Sonic 06 would be a better one to adaptate in my opinion.
It would be awesome to see Metal Sonic as the villain. I think Neo Metal Sonic should be the villain, not regular Metal Sonic. I would be awesome to see Metal Overlord.
Is it gonna be a Sonic Adventure 2 adaptation or a Sonic Heroes adaptation...? Having so many characters and storyplots might make this a tricky movie adaptation given the many characters and storylines which are getting shoved together in a single film.
@@javiervasquez625 its gonna be a mix between SA2 and Shadow 05, They should adaptate Sonic heroes in some sort of tv show since theres if they stop making movies and then make Sonic 4 an 06 adaptation.
@@Undergroundsoundvault There's no way they're gonna make this third Sonic movie a SA2 and StH adaptation all at once without making it 3 hours longs, ridden with exposition to introduce every single character and villain and a crap ton of action setpieces involving every newcomer Sonic character ranging from Shadow and Amy to Dr. Gerald and Black Doom. Lol Paramount might as well make this "Part 3" a two part storyline ala Avengers: Infinity War to spare audiences having to stick to their seats for 4 hours straight.
@@javiervasquez625 Okay listen listen listen, You're exaggerating a bit, I never said it was gonna be a full on adaptation of those two games combined, They're just taking some inspiration and elements from those games and making it its own original story like what they Did with Sonic 2, That movie is an adaptation of the second game and Sonic 3&K.

As for them only "taking some inspiration and elements from those games" that still doesn't adress the elephant in the room which are the many *characters* who i bet you will clutter the frame of every scene in order to fully flesh them out making it near impossible for a 2 hour long movie to naturally introduce and develop every single new character who played a key role in SA2 and StH's storylines. Shadow, Amy, Dr. Gerald, Maria, Rouge, Cream, Cheese, Vector, Espio, Charmy and Omega will all need to have a 5 minute long introduction to properly set off their characters for the remainder of the movie without risking making the audience have zero emotional investment on any of them courtesy of their lack of characterization to avoid wasting the audience's time with a 3 hour long movie. Even in the scenario you propose it'll be utterly impossible for the movie not to drag without removing most of the characters who appear in both SA2 and StH.
Hope they use the script from the japanese sonic x anime and use the supporting me music as well

I hope they actually write Sonic as Sonic. I want the cool badass we got in the 2000s, not this goofy child with abandonment issues. Especially not in an SA2 adaptation.
Speaking out loud the first movie did feel like they wanted Sonic to look like an overactive 10 year old kid who likes to run a lot and do all sorts of things to emphasize his innocent personality. Now that we're in the third movie i think it's time for the character to mature in order to both aknowledge his character development over the span of the last 2 movies and to embody the more adult and responsible Sonic we know and love from the modern Era.
What do you think multiple movies is setting up to? Sonic has a multitude of origins that many deal with him being abandoned to left alone to gain allies along his life that help shape his passion for protecting their freedoms, that a core aspect of Sonic
