- In this video, you'll see how I installed the DashMade eZ Button onto the Masso Controller for my Onefinity Elite Foreman.
The eZ Button is a versatile accessory that allows you to set up three shortcuts for specific tasks, such as parking, homing, g-code rewind, coolant on/off, and more.
DashMade Woodworking also makes the Z Zer.o Tool Setter that I use on my Onefinity Elite.

How can I install my work origin on one of the EZ buttons? I have one programmed for home and one for parking, but don’t know how to setup the last button for my fence X/Y zero.
I’ve wanted to do something similar (go to work origin) via one of the buttons.
Unfortunately, at this time these options aren’t available as ‘configurable user inputs’.
There is a thread on the Masso user forum asking Masso to add these functions, and quite a few folks (including myself) have already added their names to this request.
The more names we can get, the better our chances will be of getting these functions added. I hope you’ll create a user account (if you haven’t already) and add your name as well.

Marty, great instructions, thank you for taking the time to explain every step. So many creators rush and leave out every step.
Thanks, Jim. 😊👍
I would have added a short jumper wire from those three resistors to the power block. You could have used a tiny wire nut and did that beforehand. Then you wouldn’t have had to bend over those resistors at all. Just a thought! Awesome video as usual! Getting those close ups while doing the install must have been tricky. I also need to learn more video editing, like how to add those little “like & subscribe” animations and such.
You’re the second person to mention a jumper wire solution, so I’ll know better next time. Thanks for watching, as always!
I also came from Shapeoko and miss some of the features. Been watching your videos and have been moding my machine. Just ordered the EZ buttons and will try to figure out how to get the third button to brew coffee. If I have any luck I'll let ya know. Thanks for some great videos!
Hey I love your coffee idea!! 😁 Thanks for watching and using my affiliate link, too. I appreciate your support!
Excellent tutorial like always!!
Thanks
Thanks, Chris!!
Thanks!
Thank YOU!! I hope you get the “dry run” thing fixed soon! Keep me updated.
Pretty cool Masso is so configurable. I’m assuming these general purpose inputs are open collector and the resistor is acting as a weak pull-up and when the button is pressed it’s driven low. I would recommend a dab of solder on the twisted resistors and a single wire into the power pin, if I were doing it, but otherwise pretty cool. Love the utility!
The Masso is truly incredible, and I’ve only scratched the surface of what it’s capable of doing. I’ll have to let @sdasherx answer the electronics questions, though. Thanks for watching!
They are wired as recommended by Masso. I didn't use the resistors the first time and that caused some issues. It is not necessary to twist the resisters together but it will work the same either way.
Wish this function would work on my longmill!
Sorry man, but there’s always “next time”… 😉
I was hoping the "ez button" was for pressing to tell the machine what to do verbally, and it would set itself up for best workholding, program it's own toolpaths, set up it's own cutting tools, and produce a perfect part on 1st attempt without ever needing any inspection - just pooping parts out directly into a shipping boxes to be picked up by the mail man, to be delivered to customer same day
The fourth button was for the genie that would do all of that but could only be pressed 3 times so it was removed. 🤣

another great video thanks, im trying to find the video where you talk about homing and not homing the z. thanks elliott b.
I’m not sure which one you’re referring to. Did you find it?
May have to give this a try. Informative as always. I noticed your gantries moving fairly fast while homing. What speed do you have set for homing?
I have mine set to 150 ipm. I really need to make a video on that subject. Thanks for watching!
That's slow, quite slow
@@endlesslybrowsing6559 150 ipm homing speed is slow? What speed are you using on your Onefinity Elite?
Can you tell me please ... I know you have the 80mm Spindle .. Have you installed the new Z-20 Braking Closed loop Stepper Motor... if not ..have you had any issues with the Z motor dropping when you turn the machine off . Thanks
Hi Peter, thanks for watching. 😊 I haven’t had that problem with mine. Are you having that problem with yours?
Were do I get a spindle and dust boot for the Forman
Here’s my affiliate link to save you 5% off your entire order! I have the v2 dust boot and 2.2kw water cooled spindle.

Thank you sir@@MitchellsWoodwork
Hey sir great video I'm getting ready to hook this up ,but I have a question how did you get it to turn on your Shop-Vac cuz that's what I want to use mine for but after the button how did you configure it from there if this makes sense Thank you
Just assign that button (input) to “Coolant Flood On”. To turn the vac off you can either assign a button to “Flood & Mist Off” or tap on the “Coolant Flood” button on your F2 screen. Hope this helps!
I get that but something has to trigger the IOT relay correct?
I'm not using an iOT relay on my setup. My Festool CT15 Dust Extractor is plugged into the vacuum port in the back of the black box. The "coolant flood" input activates the vacuum port on the black box.
are the resistors for the led lights on buttons? don't see them on the wiring docs from masso. but did not read whole manual. any idea resistor size? Thank You
Hi Kevin, contact Steve Dash on Etsy. He’s the guy that makes the EZ Button and can answer any questions you may have. Thanks for watching!

@@kevinbaxter1571thanks for sharing that info!
Can you explain or better yet make a video on how to set up the easy button for the tool setter and a parking position to change bits? thanks
At this time, neither of those options are available as configurable user inputs. I see on the Dash made etsy site in the video someone pushes the EZ button on the side of the masso controller and the cnc goes over and measures the bit on the tool changer. this is what I'm having trouble figuring out can
He has that button set to "home machine", then in F1 > Auto Tool Zero, he has "enable auto tool zero" checked. He's just homing the machine which automatically makes it go measure the tool.
thank you for the help .@@MitchellsWoodwork
No problem, that’s why I do what I do.
