    Hi, Is it just me or did I miss how you homed the Onefinity? I know you didn't turn it off and then back on so I assume you hit something on the screen to re-home. Could you share that? Thanks otherwise for the information. When you go over the tool setter and the second homing sequence whatever you do to home the Onefinity, on the masso screen is not shown.

      I just double tapped the “Ready - Machine Ready” button on the Masso at the 11:20 mark in the video. It’s the only way I know of to manually home the machine.

    Good information. The bit wear is used in industrial woodworking. I work in a cabinet shop and they regularly use .75" EM and also send them out for sharpening. So when they get back from sharpening they will not measure as before. Thanks for the video.

      Between the two, I’ve only used the PwnCNC tool setter, so I can’t really compare the two from personal experience. However, according to their website the PwnCNC metalworker tool setter has exceptional positioning accuracy with a tolerance of 0.001mm. Also it costs around $15 less than the Onefinity which doesn’t list any accuracy information. You can use my affiliate link to save an additional 5% off your order at PwnCNC. It’s not a generic pendant. It’s branded as Masso and recommended by them for THEIR Masso controller. It should fit the newest version controller (G3) without modification.

    I just purchased a table made by Infinity.....No, not Onefinity. It was only 48X48 but, had more bracing than Kreg and was a lot less money even after I enlarged it with 2X4's. Nice job enjoy you channel- Mick " The Project Dreamers "father daughter channel. My Infinity elite will arrive in a couple of weeks. @@mickkoldy1323 I'm sure adding plywood to the sides would help a lot. I considered doing that but I like having access to the bottom shelf. I did add 3/4" MDF to the left side of the table, but mainly so I'd have a place to mount my black box on the inside, and misc things on the outside, like my Masso MPG Pendant. I'm sure there would be interest given the Elite can't use a gaming controller. I had one on my old CNC, never really got used to it. Yet, the MPG pendant seems comfortable to use. You can do far more with the modern "hobby grade" CNC machines than with many professional machines not too long ago, and for a much lower investment. Just creating a sign with the detail shown in this video has been made cost effective by advances in CNC technology.

    I wanted to come back and add another comment for other viewers: Not blowing smoke... Marty is the real deal. I have literally used his channel and videos throughout the entire process of setting up my 1F Foreman. Yesterday while setting up my ATC... Marty was playing in the background.... do one step, pause... do the next... pause... etc. Become a member... buy him a coffee.. do whatever you can because he and creators like him are tremendous assets to all of us in the CNC community. The amount of time they invest into making these videos is huge.

  • @michaelbeckwith977
    @michaelbeckwith977 Pƙed 25 dny

    Yet another great one! Nice work Marty! I spent the whole day yesterday setting up my ATC... works like a charm... until I put my V10 dust boot back on and realized I didn't space the tool racks quite far enough apart. I was hoping for 14 racks, but managed to squeeze 12 racks along the Y axis, spaced 1.5" apart... and I thought I had accounted for the dust boot, but I didn't factor in that the boot is lower when the spacers / brushes are on, so it clears the holder but hits the top of the rack when the spindle lowers to pick up / drop off. If I space them further apart, I will have to go down to 10 racks. So then I realized if I put them along the X axis in the back... I can actually put them closer together because the dust boot will be going in perpendicular to the racks instead of parallel... so now I can get my 14 racks. I went with the magnetic bases, so if I ever need the capacity or need to tile something, I can just pop the racks off and do MTC's. I imagine that would be rare if ever. So.... back to the drawing board... now I gotta re-route all the pockets, update the locations in Masso... etc. etc. Ughhh!

      @MitchellsWoodwork Pƙed 25 dny

      Dang bro! You’re so close! Be sure and run all of that through the PwnCNC FB group before you route more holes in your wasteboard. There’s likely a much less involved solution.

I'm very intrigued, as a long time CNC-er using professional-grade 5x10, 16 tool ATC setup for many years, at how far the hobby-grade machines have come with the likes of people/companies like PWNCNC and their expertise with these machines and the technologies surrounding them.

    How much did the ATC reduce the cutting area ?

    • @MitchellsWoodwork
      @MitchellsWoodwork Pƙed měsĂcem

      I lost 2.5” in true cutting area. However, the tool racks I’m using are mounted to a magnetic base and are easily removed if I ever need the full 48” for a larger project. I would just have to disable the ATC in Masso and change tools using the Manual Tool Change button. Basically like temporarily going back to the pre-ATC method that I’d always used before. I haven’t tried it yet, but that’s my understanding.
