This was an excellent training and an absolutely great resource. The only thing wrong with it, is his soteriology and ecclesiology as hinted in the story with his catholic grand ma', when he said effectively that he was catholic before he became a Christian as if Catholics aren't Christians or saved. But I guess this should be expected from old guards in Protestantism. Beside this improper comment, this was really great. I enjoyed and was blessed. Thanks for availing this resource freely. This is presumably why God doesn’t like a prideful person, a prideful person would think only in egocentric terms. (I have the gift) as opposed to (I have a gift I can share with others) one idolizes the self through pride, the other seeks to further God’s kingdom.

Actually, this is old testament. This was before Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwelled in man...
The cross changed everything.
1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Yes!!!! Derek Prince is wonderful! I was watching a video on getting delivered and I followed along and prayed with Derek Prince and I was delivered from not just one but several demons and I had almost like a dreamstate vision of them and they were very small and grey almost like what someobe would consider an alien! I know it sounds crazy but that is what I saw and I have been delivered for about 2 years now!
I am a man of God but Bible's are just peoples ways to make money some are are good or some just want to steal and hide under God while the others like this great man just want to spread the word
I don't blame them. They are also ignorant as the sheep they are shepherding. It's a case of the blind leading the blind.
Pray for them so they will have deliverance from ignorance

The contradiction you see shows you need more understanding on this matter of " tongues ( speaking in languages).
The scripture will show us the WAY.
Acts 2. clearly shows us what came to pass on the day of Penticost.
Acts 2: 8 says : We HEAR them speaking in Our own languages.
verses 9, 10 and 11 name these 17 different languages.
Verse 8 tells us that the people HEARD them speaking in their own languages.
It does not say The apostles spoke in their languages.
Simon and the other spoke in Galilean.
The HOLY SPIRIT translated Galilean into all the other languages .
Simon did not speak in any language he did not already know.
Simon probably spoke: Galilean, Greek and Aramiac.
NO human being has or ever will speak in a language they have not learned.
The day of Penticost was all about what the Promiced Holy Spirit would do.
The coming of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders.
The Holy Spirit tanslated all the different languages so the people could understand .
1 Cor. 14: 2. This scripture MUST be with one accord with Acts 2.
1 Cor. 14: 2 says they spoke in a language directly to Yahweh.
A language not known by anyone who speak it.
This language must be known to mankind and it is.
The ONLY language on this earth spoken directly to Yahweh was the creation language spoken by Adam and Eve and up to the the flood.
When Noah and His wife died the creation language died with them.
ALL the langauges were changed at the tower of Babal.
1 Cor. 14: 3- 11. Tells us about languages known to others who heard them speaking.
These were the ones who translated to the other.
No more than 3.
1 Cor. 14: 15. This is the conclusion to the matter.
WE will speak and pray with our OWN understanding.
What the christians are doing in church today is inspired untterences by unclean spirits.
When I speak in English people HEAR me in their own languages
.I do not speak in any other language and never will.
The HOLY Spirit is speaking to the people.
May Yahweh give you understanding in this salvation matter.

+raymond lindroth Have you ever met someone who was brought to Christ by the miracle known as the sign gift of tongues? Have you ever tried praying and witnessing the truth against a frightening demonic presence, and then stirred up your spirit man by speaking in tongues, which requires only faith, not intellect or education, and then tried again to confront that demonic presence? the other two types of tongues are explained in the manual that accompanies this series, it's free on the website. It sounds like you have God all figured out, we call that Pride.

Though the manifestation and exposure to the supernatural realm is truly surprising, to a person whose spiritually dormant senses have yet to be turned on by the Holy Spirit, it is essentially an encounter with absolute quality. To be in God's presence feels so wonderful.
+lakevacm So Im gonna try this out.. is this accurate? I keep seeing big white gates and heard the word gateway. It seems like you've not only been involved with hearing God's voice but you've been dabbling into physical healing as well. I also sense that even though it's a whole 8 months later you still have a fresh fire burning in you and you're like a bull just chasing after God and seeing manifestations... is this true? You can be honest ;)
+Tate Bethel God is the source of all ideals. God decides ultimately to repair or restore the high capacity filament, connecting our soul to our spirit. So we have to ask, and keep asking. we also have to be doers of the word, not only hearers. God does not waste the gifts, and we have to endeavor in prayer, and be found trustworthy. Hearing God's voice for me, came after some ardor, but I hope other people can have their own experiences.

No I don't see manifestations, haven't for awhile. I don't pursue manifestations. I would rather give a homeless person five dollars. But if you need one, as God sees it, he will give you the manifestation you need. Greater is he who doesn't see, yet believes than he who sees and believes. We don't necessarily need to have some spiritual experience to follow our conscience. Also we will have eternity to experience the spiritual world, but only one go around here. That gives our life in the physical realm the value of eternity. Yet if you pursue the heart of God, and Jesus, it's good to be greedy for the things of God, such as the gifts of the Holy Ghost enumerated by Paul. I believe love is the key.
The good thing about the gifts of the Holy Ghost is the power. We lost the power of many unfulfilled standards when Adam fell. Now is a time when through belief, and tears and sweat, the parental heart of God can be unleashed through people who stand on the past foundation, of subjugation of Satan, and can send unselfish God centered souls to populate heaven, and change the balance of the Cosmos. We can see the greater works Jesus foretold. Ciao, peace, :)

I had a preacher try to push me down by placing his hand on my forehead, sorry but God don't push people down, or at least not by man. I believe in gifts and spirits but one preacher took his fist and hit a poor man because the guy wouldn't fall down. I have been blessed without any man trying to do it for me.
I think the preacher would fall down, if he tried that on me... I got that Holy Spirit!

Thank you for sharing this. I'm looking forward to the rest of the exercises! Recently, I was watching a video of a few pastors telling their stories of why they went into ministry. To my surprise, a still voice / thought, not my own, stated, "Learn my word, I will put you there." I was slightly surprised. It was out of the blue and clearly not me.

Can someone help me I've been fighting cancer for several years now and have had countless people lay hands on me and pray for me but I never feel anything and i am a believer in the gifts of the spirit said have been a Christian for over 35 years, back then I could feel the holy spirit in me and the blessings he gave me all the time like super happiness and piece, but one day it just stopped and I thought i must have done something wrong to cause it, i serched every where trying to figure out what I done to lose my happiness but never could, so i never was as close to God as i was, when i came down with cancer i started searching God's word for healing because where I go to church they don't believe in healing but i do, i don't know if i have done something to block the holy spirit from helping me or what, i have asked forgiveness for my sins and try and live a perfect life but fall short some times I any help would be appreciated.

+Micheal Tackie Let him that hath ears to hear hear what the Spirit says to the church. The first sign that will follow those who believe is that in Christ’s “name shall they cast out devils.” This is a figure that points to those who will become saved when the Gospel is sent forth by believers. Those who are not saved are in Satan’s dominion. When they become saved, it is as if devils have been cast out of them. That is, they are no longer under the power of Satan. They have been translated into the kingdom of Christ. The miracle that people are saved from Satan’s power takes place wherever the Gospel is proclaimed by believers. Indeed this sign always follows those who believe.
The second sign that follows believers is that they shall speak with new tongues. The spiritual meaning of this figure is found in the fact that each nation has its own language. The language spoken by the unsaved (regardless of political language), is that of the dominion of Satan. The language of the believer is that of the kingdom of God. Even if the same English or German or French words are used in both kingdoms, the language used by the believer is different from that of the unbeliever. The words may be the same, but their meanings and applications to the speaker will be quite different. We are reminded of the Old Testament prophecy of Psalm 40:3: “He hath put a new song in my mouth,” and Psalm 98:1: “O sing unto the LORD a new song.” Indeed, wherever believers are found, we find them speaking with new tongues.
The third sign that will follow those who believe is that they will take up serpents. In the Bible the serpent typifies Satan (Rev. 12:9). Before we are saved, we are under Satan’s power. He rules over us; but when we become saved, we rule over him. To use the figure of Mark 16:18, we are like the snake handler who takes up the snake. Wherever believers are found, there will be those who rule over Satan as they plunder his house of those who are being saved.
The fourth sign that follows those who believe is “if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.” When we become saved, we drank the pure water of the Gospel. To listen to a false gospel is to drink poison. For example, in Deuteronomy 32:32, 33, God faults ancient Israel for their idol worship by declaring: For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. However, because believers can never lose their salvation, if they should drink poison by listening to a false gospel, they cannot lose their salvation. This principle is true wherever believers are found.
The fifth sign that follows those who believe is “they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Spiritually, when believers share the Gospel with others, they are ministering to those who are spiritually ill. The Gospel applied by the Holy Spirit by means of the witnessing of believers brings spiritual healing, for God says in I Peter 2:24b, 25a, “by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray.” This principle is also true and will be in evidence wherever there are believers.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit didn't STOP working, we stopped WORKING and BELIEVING, Jesus said "These signs shall follow them that BELIEVE!" You stir up the GIFT by OBEYING GOD. The Holy Spirit won't fill (control) a vessel that refuses to be empty (receptive to His control)

Carol Dickinson asks about the falling over in the Spirit or being slain in the Spirit. I might have had that same understanding as she does had I not experienced the real deal. I have had those who try to push me over relying on the flesh and not letting the Holy Spirit have his way. One time I was standing in a row of people facing the front and there was 6 rows of people. A lady evangelist touched the person in the first row and I saw from the front to the back being slain. As one fell the touched the second..it was like dominoes. Each row was slain. Then my row was next and to my utter surprise; my experience being like Carol's; as the person in front of me fell I too was slain. Laying on the floor I tried to get up and couldn't. I was literally pinned to the floor and speaking in the spirit. There is a real experience Carol. One day you might be slain.
Hi Doug... you said..."my experience being like Carol's..." But my experience was not like yours.
Honestly... I don't know why God would want to make people fall backward... seems like a horrible experience... bumping head, or hip, or hands or back etc. The story of the soldiers falling back was an act of God to show those around WHO HE WAS! The GOD OF THE UNIVERSE! It was a show of power and might against those coming to take Jesus. This was a statement from God that Jesus is God... a very powerful, powerful statement.
But why would He knock folks down who are earnestly seeking Him... to love Him... and to worship Him... in spirit and in truth. The Holy Spirit is our comforter... not our combatant. Maybe He is a combatant toward His enemies... but surely not toward those who dearly love Him with all their heart, mind and soul.
Simply put... Why would God do this to those who love Him. What is the purpose? Would I personally knock someone down who just earnestly told me they love me??? That would be rude of me... wouldn't it. After all they just told me that they love me. Would I not instead give them a hug or tell them I love them too. This is a normal way we have relationships... even with God... it is much the same. If I am wrong I appologize. Now maybe God can pour His glory on someone and the weight of that glory may cause us to get down on our faces before our almighty God... because His presence is so Great!
Folks... we should not seek God for some grand experience He can give us... even knocking us on the ground#$%^(. Ouch : / We should instead trust Him, follow Him, obey Him. Often those who seek experience don't really care for others... just there own experience and feelings. These churches have no mission ministries to speak of. They are not going to the prisons and visiting the prisoners. They are not going to the hospitals and visiting those who are sick. They are not reaching out to the orphans and widows in their distress... of which Jesus said is "Pure religion which is undefiled before God..."
If we are only seeking God for our own thrills BUT have no love for those Christ has called us to go to... then we are like clanging pots of no use... and the Lord will say to us "Depart from me. I never knew you."
Read all of this following scripture... Matthew 25:31-46... and you will see what a true Christian looks like... and what a false Christian looks like... even to Jesus! This is very clear folks. Very clear!

Carol Dickinson Hi Carol. I did not say I was seeking a experience nor anyone else at this event. As far as you don't understand why God would make anyone fall down show a little arrogance on your part. I don't know why but I didn't question the creator of the universe either. It happened and that was it. I was surprised it happened. As I have read and been told when it does happen no one is injured. True in my case also. I think people might get hurt if it isn't the real power of God doing it. I don't suggest anyone seek an experience but Jesus alone. If in seeking Jesus you do experience the supernatural then accept it. The question "why?" ..who knows, I'm not God. Take it to Him. There is the real power of God and the fake when a preacher pushes you down. Never seek an experience at any rate. You are indeed very religious and feel our acceptance is based on our work rather than His work on the cross. I myself have been to a state prison and federal prison. I have been in the street ministry and have done a little missionary work in the Philippines. However, I don't boast in what I have done or what I do but in what He did. My acceptance is based on Jesus. When the Father looks at me He sees Jesus. My righteousness is as filthy rags and not accepted. I have received the gift of righteousness. I am to renew my mind with the washing water of the word and to walk after the spirit. The commandments of the new testament are to love our neighbor as ourselves and to love God. The letter of the law kills but the spirit of the law gives life. Rest in Jesus and not in your effort. Let God run your life. Surrender to Him. Renewing our minds will bring victory in life and make us more like Him. The new testament begins at the cross not when Jesus was born. When Jesus said it is finished. The law was dead. The law was meant for fallen man not the new man born in Christ, a new creature that God indwells. All our sins are forgiven but we live in a fallen world and we have our flesh to deal with and our minds need reprogramming. We should have a Christ consciousness not be sin consciousness. The law can never justify anyone. The law was a tutor to lead us to Christ to show us we could never measure up to Gods standard.
Could someone tell me where in Scripture does it talk about falling over or as modern charismatics say "being slain in the spirit"? Thank you. Now I do believe in the gifts but not sure where falling over is in the Bible. So many times pastors and church members have tried to push me over or phycologically push me over or push my forehead back so I lose my balance and fall... all so people might think that the one who prayed for me have some kind of power? One lady actually pushed me down and I hit my hip on a chair. Also yelling "Pow!" (with a lot of emotionalism behind it) can also catch someone off guard and off balance and cause them to fall down especially if their eyes are closed.
+Carol Dickinson Being slain in the spirit is a trick of Satan either by emotionalism, psychological suggestion or demonic activity. It has nothing to do with obedience to the Lord and living a holy life. The apostle Paul never mentions it as something we should seek. Avoid the Charismatic movement. It's roots are rotten to the core and come from the pit of hell.

hi Carol the Lord Jesus bless you and give you understanding in all spiritual matters concerning himself. falling over or being slain in the Holy Spirit is not at all Satanic. yes the devil does mimic operations of the Spirit but its is easily identified. I will talk about that another time. but to answer your question being touched by God's Spirit is like being touched by many volts of electricity hence the reaction. the reaction itself is not just for show but often people are healed from sicknesses or delivered from Demons. one scripture you can read is Daniels encounter with God. because of the share power and purity of God his fleshly body was not able to bear it.
Carol Dickinson Hi Carol first i must apologise for these bad experiences. yes some persons do try and do this to others in their own strength but being slain in the spirit is very real and the Holy Spirit dont need to push anyone down to show his might. its just that his might cause people to fall before Jesus. its like the soldiers who fell backwards in John 18 v6. they came in contact with the power of Jesus and they fell. He is so glorious that when his manifest presence come you absorb it all. Daniel experience it quite a few times. so did John in Revelation and i am sure many thousands of other. hope this helps.

I know the gift of interpretation of dreams is not listed in those verses in 1st coorinth 12 dealing with the 9 gifts. But do you think god will and can give a person the gift of interpreting dreams like he did to Joseph? And one more question why isnt that gift listed among the 9 gifts?
Hi the scripture doesn't cover all the gifts it just highlights 9 of them, read a little further and you will see gifts of helps, gifts of intercession, those who have the gift of music like Asaph and David and Poetry like Solomon. So yes Dream and Dream interpretation is still very much apart of the gifts and still relevant and a large part of how God talks to most of us that are not very still in our Spirit like myself.
The gifts of word of knowledge, prophecy and word of wisdom can account for Joseph interpreting dreams. All it takes is for God to give him the meaning prophetically. There's no need for pinpoint specifics as to how Holy Spirit does what He does through people. God is limitless. If believe in God we should believe in His ability to help someone interpret dreams without it being categorized as a Spiritual Gift of the Holy Spirit.

I have been in tears while listening to you. I have a big problem at night when I want to go to sleep, as soon as I close my eyes I have all kinds of unwanted pictures all different kinds so that I can't get to sleep, it's as though my bedroom is full of movement pictures patterns.ect. But it isent in my room it's in my eyes. It's difficult to fall asleep. I tried going to a different room but it was still there that's how I know that it's in my eyes not in my room. I don't understand why this is happening but it takes me ages to get off to sleep. I tried speaking out Ephesians chapter 6 vs 10 to 18 before laying down but it didn't help. Can you help me please?

lol its not bad Mary - Ann, When the concentrated presence of God come on you, the fleshly body reacts by giving way kind of like if you were electrocuted but you will react regardless of the concentration of this power. The difference between the power of God and electricity is that its healing power, it goes into your heart and mind and clean out the junk and you get up feeling brand new.

I was trying so hard to learn from this. And in short order, I did pick up on a couple of things I never realized before now. But the flow of this good lesson was completely disrupted at 18:37. A couple of friends, my husband and myself attended a Benny Hinn "Healing Service" at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis in 1992. I could give a long dissertation of things we saw that went completely against God's word and outright made a mockery of it; but suffice it to say that Hinn's sideshow performance that night leaves a nasty taste in my mouth a quarter of a century later. I can't work past it. It was *that* bad. No Mr. Connell, I will *never* believe that God works through Hinn. The only work that I can see from it is a sharpening of a spirit of discernment.
They didn't do gifts in the church I went to
RATS, I hate to admit it, but all I have seen is tongues and interpretation, tongues, and a few prophecies. We need a great move of God in our churches, I am sad to say.
