- For the first time, Hayley and Andrew watch Por Thozhil (2023). A bright but faint-hearted rookie cop has to overcome his fears in order to succeed in his first case which sees him partnered with a reclusive senior officer to catch a serial killer on the loose.

@@sahilsahu4323 its not the budget but the tighter schedules in which these movies are shot. If sufficient time is given from the production we will be able to get quality films. Even manadu had vfx which really pulled me out of the movie
@@sahilsahu4323 The production quality of maveeran isn't poor. (except some VFX stuffs) other than that everything fits right with the plot.
@@thoughtsIhave11 Yup. Indian movies really need to up their standards when it comes to CGI and VFX. It's not about budget, Most movies compromise on quality due to time constraints. Hope producers understand this.

Everybody says ratchasan is best psycho killer movie in tn. But this one is fav for me. One step ahead of ratchasan in analysing the mind of killer.

Who said telugu cinema need only rajamouli. We have sukumar, trivikram, nag ashwin, sandeep reddy vanga, prasanth varma lot of directors and many other directors who even did films with tamil heros and got success ratio of 70%. Even tollywood has 5-6 main heros and almost equal following not like other industries where they have competition between just 2 or 3 heros.

Chitha just released is pretty awesome movie though quite horrifying but still a must watch.
Saw Por Thozhil in theatre, quite an awesome experience. As was Viduthalai. Kudos to making some excellent down to Earth movies which don't revolve around hero-heroine nakhre.
