    Great video, showing just how easy that job really is and the bonus of how to reset the service light was really helpful. Another thing that is nice to see is that your wife doesn't spend her life sat in the back seat of a Russet Brown Clubman 🤣

      Thanks Graeme, there is this and a few other jobs that have been neglected while doing the classics so i'll get them all done and dusted prior to getting back to the classics. well yes, it's not often we use the mini, but when we do... we use it to the full potential.

    That is a fine vid. Just a bit more light on the oil filter change and location would have been perfect. Gonna follow those directions now.

    Be due a cambelt if not already done. 60k or every 5 year intervals. Hope your going to do the fuel and pollen filters. Also glad you didnt fit a crosslands filter as i had one fail and destroy an engine. Also heard bad stories about them filters. Good informative videos especially on how to reset the service light 👍👍

      cheers Mark. i didn't but once payday hits i'll be ordering up a fuel filter for the megane, i couldn't justify the cost for everything in one go. i have another video going live shortly soley on the light reset. to save people skipping through to get that bit. Oh the joy of doing a cambelt on this.... i will be due in the case of 60k

    In the Renault Megane MK3 with a 1.5dCi, 1.6dCi or 2.0dCi diesel engine, only oil with Renault Standard RN0720 can be added, due to the DPF filter.

    If you are damm sure you have the right oil filter and struggle to loosing it without the proper tool then there’s the old hammer a flat head screwdriver straight though to turn it with👍✌️

      Great cars, being renault they are renowned for electrical issues, and these have common faults of leaky turbo pipes but i would 100% recommend, we only changed due to needing more space

      I think it was just a different style of filter element, no harm done the previous one may have been more expensive maybe?

    Hi, thanks for the informative video. i will be doing the service on my megane mk3 following this video. I also have 1 more question.... My fuel line going to the diesel pump has A LOT of air in it once the car is running. Any thoughts as to why this may happen please? would be great to have the issue solved as the car is feeling suuuuuuper sluggish :( Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

    • @WilliamMurfitt

      I think the style of the fueling system this will always happen. Fuel being forced through the pipework etc. Best of luck with the service mate, thanks for watching and a merry Christmas

      I've just read that a build up of soot in the diesel particulate filter can cause the megane to become sluggish. I don't know if this is any help?

    • @RaceByNight
      @RaceByNight Před 3 lety

      @@matthewtanner9823 yeah that's true but min doesn't have one anymore 😜 and it's still Abit sluggish at times. What I've noticed is that it normally boosts to 22psi and when it feels sluggish it only boosts to 14psi so wandering if it's a fault related to the fuel/boost system.
