36:28 OHHHHHH MY GOODNESS. I have an older cousin who doesn't look racially ambiguous, but she was always known for being all about "Black is beautiful", which I genuinely believe. My issue was finding out she did IVF using eggs from a racially ambiguous woman. Apparently her lineup of women to get eggs from were all exoticals because she (who has darkskin, 4c hair) wanted to have lightskinned babies with her darskinned husband. My jaw was on the floor. She had twins, one is lightskinned, the other is darker and she actually shows favoritism to the lighter skinned twin! Kids notice these things and I find the whole situation very icky. I smell self-hatred and projection all over it.
I don't understand people who hate themselves so much. It can't possibly feel good to have such thoughts, either.

I'm neither dark not light, just a multicultural black woman trying to live my best life while decentering men and honestly I prefer yur channel over hers even though I was following her first. I’m mixed race 50% black Caribbean 50% East Indian with 2c / 3a hair down to my butt, light brown skin tone. My kids are mgm’s i was raised by an Indian mother and Indian grandparents but also relate to my blackness to a degree. I'm like "I speak Spanish, read it, and write it, I eat Latin food, my parents were born in Latin countries, their parents were born in the countries, I'm the first American in my family, I pray in Spanish. I consider myself light brown black woman (around Beyonce's skin color, sometimes lighter sometimes darker), and I've never felt I wasn't welcome, quite the opposite actually. I feel comfortable here, because it's light AND darker skin women here, type 3 and 4 hair, keen features or not and I love that we can all come together.

Light skinned black woman here. One of your earliest members. Used to be a huge Chrissie fan, got tired of her telling me I was evil privileged and made up being bullied by DSBG as a child. 😅
And I just wanna say again this channel is THERAPY! I've had years of healing in weeks of bingeing. I feel you go too easy on em and show a lot of empathy and reasonable doubt when they use a lot of general 'all" and "them". And they add extra venom because its punching up so we were supposed to just take it. But the confidence you've given back to me, and I've been able to transmute into productivity and setting real boundaries, making others around me think twice. I can tell you've don'e a lot of "the work". I was telling my husband, its like you're paying forward the therapy bill. We gotta make sure we give back to your Exotical tax.

I'm half Middle Eastern and half White and watch your videos on stuff like bullying and humbling tactics. I feel like many mixed people from all backgrounds can relate to what your saying. Even if all your videos don't apply to me, there is certain content that I really relate to. I never heard of Chrissie, but even fully Middle Eastern people (or darker toned ones, or really religious ones who wear head scarves) mock me for trying to "be whiter" when I bleach my hair blonde

Some of Chrissy’s content hits hard and speaks perfectly about issues I see in the black community. Her femininity series and corrective promotion for all types of black women was her best era. Other times I’m confused about the vitriol. Maybe it’s the hate she got for starting the “ism” conversations but it’s great to point out the difference in treatments but not slander any group of women for nothing. It gets tired quickly
