- The finale song for the special that aired only once on ABC television in January, 1980. This transfer is from the only three-quarter inch made as the master tape rolled to provide feeds to back up recordings for the east coast.

I was front row center, and when she said We all can't fit, but some of us can... I jumped up onto the stage and ended up on TV! What a fun night this was.
The woman who gave dance music a voice and what a VOICE, the greatest one we will ever hear. Love you Donna FOREVER.
I was one of those 17,000 people at the taping I'm proud to say and when she give the song we all tried to get close to Donna Summer and Beyond stay with her that's why she put the brakes on it of course I'll never forget that night
Pure magic!! A great time... the 70's. what a place to be back then. Kids today will never know those magic years so long ago. Love you Donna Summer. Thanks for all the beautiful music over the years and many more years to come.
So true, best music ever!!!!
Since Donna Summer transitioned, I've been infatuated watching her videos on YT. Viewing her work reminds that truly great artists are prolific. In her lifetime, Donna Summer never stopped producing outstanding music, art, drama--all forms of media--so much so that there seems no to be no end to her artistry even after her untimely passing. She left an influential legacy to appreciate for decades, and dare I say centuries to come.
Beautiful comment. And you weren't presumptuous for saying centuries. She is an undying star.
Dang, she was so heavenly-beautiful...miss this gorgeous lady sooo much!!!!! 💗💗💗
Ur so right. Miss her smile and personality and of course her music. Simply the best there ever was! RIP Donna❤️

Daring Last Dance, Donna!
O that would have been, would be sweet to see her sing again, but thank you for sharing such a fantastic performance in such quality. It's wonderful to remember & relive those memorable moments, and this is so much better! I mean, the perspective, the nostalgia, a greater appreciation for the performance, and all that went into it, & to get to hear it again (& again, & again... which then only happened if you had a beta) Thank you again...& again!
the person that push the thumbs down just came from a cardi b concert..
LOL 😝
Really, thanks for posting this! I would buy a DVD of this. . .
The entire show is here on CZcams, you can watch it anytime for free!
una de las mejores voces del mundo
Uh, wow Donna. I mean c'mon this is a given to released.
Estupendo trabajo, la imagen y el sonido perfectos. Quiero más de este concierto. GRACIAS!!!!
Não tem como se apaixonar por essa cantora era de arrasar os corações de seus fãs.
💖
Was it a line-through the 2" machine, or a dub?
No one today would be able to let all those people up on stage for the end of the song Donna did... To many psychos out there, just look at what happened to Christina Grimme.
How in the world do you find these master tape roll backups? I wish they actually released this on home video or soundtrack; that gospel song she sings at the beginning is beautiful but she only sings a bit of it. I wish I could hear the whole thing. I wonder if they ever recorded the whole song.
Probably there would have been no disco at all without great Van McCoy.But when talking about disco there is absolutely no getting over Donna Summer, because it just don't make no kind of sense like talking about rock 'n roll without mentioning John Lennon.
The mind boggles as to the reason why not...? Too young? Not choreographed the way Madonna or Janet would have done it? Too old now in comparison? The effect of those ugly years when the disco backlash robbed us of decent dance music and drove disco underground into the gay clubs in the early 80's, and Miquel Brown et al took over? Was Donna waiting for some future chance at a definitive live recording, or was Live and More Encore her finale? Now she's gone - this footage is all we have!!!!
