- Wanted to this leading to Christmas but time escaped me. Long day and this was a long reaction, I was getting heavy eyed for sure but loved it.

Ed Bishop - the storyteller in the Pinocchio sketch - was a regular American voice on British TV for many years and was the voice of Captain Blue in Gerry Anderson's 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons' back in the 60s and Commander Ed Straker in his first live action series UFO.
nurse gladys from open all hours was woodmans wife lol
The two Ronnies Christmas shows were really special. They always remind me of my father who especially loved the clever word joke sketches. I miss them all.
Happy memories watching the two Ronnies at Christmas 👏👏🐿🏴
This brought back some childhood memories mate. Loved the two Ronnie's.
Pinocchio II is the best movie sequel ever !🤣
The great variety of characters/accents was incredible.
Reruns of The Two Ronnies are STILL shown on tv. They were on our tv all over Christmas this year, as were Morecambe and Wise and other classics. No one will ever beat the greats!
Some might but not with woke, snowflakes, cancel culture and stupid political correctness
@@mlee6050 Ignore those idiots!
Happy, silly stuff. We used to watch it every week when I was a kid.
NAME DROPPERS is their cleverest sketch in my opinion. Barker's writing at its best. Enjoy!
Nurse Gladys Emmanuel !!!!! Pinnochio sketch.
That was wonderful I so enjoyed it seen some small parts but was great to see it has a whole great reaction squirrel 🐿️ 😂❤💚🐈⬛
That was the same format as their average Saturday night show. The intro, sketches, the chair monologue, a musical number, the news headlines to conclude. Some of the characters, like the two rustic's or the two in the pub made repeated appearances.
Bill and Ben , the flower pot men, we're a couple of characters from kids TV, who were very well known.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours
Christmas is not the same without Morecambe and wise and The Two Ronnie's.They a sorely missed
This was their last Christmas special. Ronnie Barker "retired" immediately afterwards.
I missed this special at the time because I was working abroad. It was their last show after a 16 year run. It is hard to realise now, how big their Christmas Specials were when they were on peak form.
The very last episode of ‘The Two Ronnies’ as Ronnie Barker had decided to retire after this, feeling that he had accomplished all that he wanted to do as an actor.
I was 10 when this was on tv. They don’t make Christmas specials that the whole family anymore
Thats how mobile phones started as a car phone
Nice one, thanks.
I had a little smile when Ronnie C introduced the singer at 8.45 who very often or not was always Barbara Dickson, but on this occasion it was Elton! Bye eck well I'll climb tut top of our stairs, 'appen lass Barbara said...Tha's no cold Cold Heart Elton chuck I'll sithee right fot them there lads Christmas Special and I'll Sacrifice me spot for thee. 😃
Tina Charles was series 1... Barbara Dickson had two non-consecutive series later on in their run... The Christmas specials could run a gambit of guest singers... I think Tony Orlando and Yawn were either series 5 or 6... One singer per series and the songs were usually the first to be recorded...and imagine doing a series of songs in just one day not knowing which order they'll be in either... They all happened after the chair monologues...
Fried egg and chips? Haven’t had that since I was a kid
Just right with a juicy gammon steak.
F.U.N.E.X?
You need to do more of the full episodes of 2 ronnies
I watched on the UK channel UK gold a few of these over Christmas
How much clout did they have? Alfred Marks, Frank Finlay and Charlton Heston to name but three guests! Those were the days, sigh.
Charlton Heston took one of Ronnie B's hats in lieu of a salary so they could fit Elton John in under the budget...
Egg n Chips 🙂
Thanks for reminding me how DREADFUL this show was. Awful aged comedy. Was their anything vaguely funny??
