PROTIPS
Spend the 100k in an LC500 instead
or
Spend 70k on a new (or less on a used) RC-F, spend 10k to put some spoilers, brakes and carbon fiber on it. Save the extra $20k for something else lol
LC500 is a beauty and a sexy sound from the exhaust.
PROTIP
I don't need a luxury car advice from a 12 year old lol
Yeah… good luck on not only finding the perfect fit/finish to match Lexus’ CF but also with chopping the roof off & replacing it with an aftermarket CF roof. That wing alone is at least $10-15k (because it’s actually engineered to be functional). No aftermarket part will beat oem parts (especially when it comes to CF & Lexus).
@@chibbyylol I got it right, all right. Maybe reach puberty first, then maybe you can give advice on how to put back bicycle chain lol
@@CarsOverPeople You do realize you are talking to al literal child who doesn't even drive yet? Just look at his avatar. He's 14. All of his car knowledge comes from CZcams.
I have the GS F V8 sedan with this engine. Six years old and it feels like new. No issues whatsoever.
Congrats! I have an RCF but really toyed with the idea of a GSF. Super special.
It certainty doesn't.
you will, direct injection are built to break due to carbon build up, shorten life for extra power.
well it is japanese
@trilingualkid Toyota uses both port fuel injectors in the intake manifold and direct injection. Toyota calls this system the D-4S or Dynamic Force Engine. This avoids carbon build-up.
The system offers the best of both worlds
People never talk about where this car was built. Everyone is always comparing it to the Germans....phooey!! Lexus' that are built in Tahara Japan are perhaps the most reliable vehicles in the WORLD!!!!! That is what you are paying for. Take that to the bank the next time you're getting your M4 serviced.
You don't want a ugly BMW thats mechanically totaled at 70,000 over a Japanese NA V8 that lasts 300,000 miles? shame on you
Can’t stop looking at it………I’ve worked for Lexus as a service technician for 17 years and they’ve hands down produced some hidden gems
Between this and the Nissan GTR , they are both super beautiful!
That is a tough choice
You can’t put a GTR in the same class as an RCF.
GTR is a tier above. Very bottom of the super car world but has crossed super territory
Rcf is just a sports car. Competing at the bottom of totem pole. Where M4s, C63s, RS5 reign
@@justiceodueze2897yeah you right 😎👍🏾
500 hp, Rear Seat Delete, and a Manual and Lexus has a whole new list of customers. Striking looking Lexus. Lexus reliability is always a nice bonus.
Yeah if they offered a manual I'd be throwing money at them. I'm probably going to have to go with the CT5-V Blackwing as even the C8s don't offer it. Sports cars with automatic transmissions just doesn't compute for me.
@@omnimoeish Yes it seems like we get fewer manual cars as the years go by. A CT5-V Blackwing would be a nice car to have, or even another option would be the new Lotus Emira or Camaro ZL1 I know the Camaro ZL1 for track time punches above it's weight.
Closer to like 390whp.
Saw the RC-F at a Limerock IMSA race last year. Just awesome.
Joe, you had me at "front engine, rear wheel drive, naturally aspirated V8." Plus, outstanding use of carbon fiber, wing, killer exhaust, comfy cabin, gorgeous seats, and even Alcantera. This is a real car!!!
The paint looks wet. It was detailed extremely well.
I bet they do either wet sanding or denim polishing pad to remove the orange peel... Likely won't see that nice of paint on a basic RCF floor model...
Used to not care about it, but as one of the last NA V8s out there I want one now. Maybe not so much for the price for the Carbon Package or Track Edition though.
Hardest working duo on YT Joe and Lori, thank you both for bringing us the NYCIA since some of us were unable to make it this year🙏🏽😌 You’re both appreciated
Nice Vid Joe
Did you spend anytime with the Polar Surge Inspiration LC500 beside it?
Alright Joe let’s see what this Lexus RC F has to offer
I like the way that you yhink
Agree, would be nice to have a manual version and just two seats but it is what it is. Still a great car though.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
For the price of nearly $110,000 I would probably go with a 2024 Cadillac CT5V Blackwing.
I said the exact same thing right before I saw your comment totally agree!
Or, a base C8 Z06
Oh yes, the trailer park dream car, smh.
Lexus is more rare and special.
CT5 Blackwing all the way
This is sick. Love the RC looks more than the LC.
I love how it comes with back seats. Can bring the whole family to or friends to track days in this monster.
LOL they aren't aimed at people who want a dedicated track car. Their aimed at people who THINK they want a track car but don't know any better.
how well does the transmission and engine last under heavy track uses? are they durable enough
This car is missing a 6 speed manual, with it the car is really engaging and the exterior color with the carbon fiber is very cool! Thank you Joe and Lori for being awesome hard working people!
This Lexus is one of my favorite cars to drive on Forza. If I had the money it would be Blackwing because of the 6speed though.
Too bad you can’t get the black wing as a 2 door

People that say that this car is outdated. Tech wise it is. These people should look at a BMW. It's not for them. This car is something special. It's for people that know what it is. It's an instant collectable and a automotive art.
I agree that it is special. I vehemently disagree that it should be classified as art or a collectible… I would definitely drive the heck out of it.
So? It's tech is still outdated like every Toyota and I won't be buying it. Corvette, CT5V Blackwing, or M5 for me.
@@jordanplays-transitandgame1690 Like I said. It's for the few who appreciate craftsmanship.
And reliability 😊
I guess no one knows what it is since hardly anyone buys the RC in general.
Wow, Wow, Wow! Love it Joe!
It's allegedly the final year of the track edition, and to be honest I am a little disappointed they did not go out with a bang. They used the same paint colors as the initial track edition and haven't really offered anything new. They could've really played into that IMSA GTD Pro racing pedigree and offered a rear seat delete, wider rubber, rear cross bracing, and a tune up to 500hp. They could've gotten this to 3500-3600lbs and really made it unlike anything else in 2024
107 thousand dollars for a car with 472 horsepower. They must be crazy.
reliable engine - no turbos!
Yes because horse power is obviously what determines the car value 🤡 👍🏻

@@ChaoSTrophicS if you got a lot more money you would actually sit in one and cross shop them (which I did) and choose another. Hey Joe. I have aIn nfra red 2015 RCF. Have had it 4 years. I put an exhaust on it,ten spoke black wheels, carbon front splitter and side skirt. Some minor engine upgrades.I l live in the Lancaster,Pa. area. I have seen many C8's. I have yet to see another RCF on the road. No one knows what it is. I feel exclusive every timeI I drive it.
That is so awesome!
I'm in Lancaster, PA too. Ephrata area to be more exact. I'll keep an eye out for your RCF. One of the sweetest sounding cars ever made. Love to hear those revs.
I saw this car at the NY auto show. Nice car!
Wow 😮 That is a Lexus-Charger like muscle car. Definitely buying one of these in the upcoming future.
Joe the Rcf has a 8 speed transmission not a 10 speed that the Lc 500 has
You know Joe, when see this RC F Track Edition, one song from the 90s in particular comes to mind. Im Too Sexy from Right Said Fred. You know why, cause this RC F is too sexy for that auto show 😅
I freaking remember that song!
I would suprise ya Joe, for me being Gen Z, I have a diverse musical catalog 👌 Feel free to quiz me anytime, brother 😉
I would love one of these but there just to rare and impossible to find raiti. There legit twice as many LC500s and 10x camaro ZL1s for sale in the U.S
I remember the claims that RCF was going to be a M3 killer years ago. And now, comparing this to a C8 is wild. GTD class doesn't use the streetcar powerplant btw. Cars like the R8 and Z06 are actually downgraded on power so they don't exceed IMSA GTD class limits.
dream car after school right here
Save yourself $50-70k and get a late-model RCF. Nothing special about the "Track Edition" at all other than it costs $70-100k.
I think the 0-60 time is 4 secs instead of 3.5. I was shocked to hear you say 3.5 🤣. It is a nice car but I still prefer my ‘23 3.0 Prem Supra @ 3.7 secs. 😊👍🏼👍🏼
I agree. The 3.5 secs is too optimistic. I've found 4.4 for the track edition and 4.0 for the Fuji edition online. Maybe 3.5 seconds down a slight downhill! ;-)
supras are nice but are not anywhere near as nice as a rcf. the sound alone makes them better.
The interior WOW!
Looks amazing
You are so very right

Raiti, I think you mixing up the specs. 19" forged wheels and an 8-speed automatic. The 21" and 10-speed is the LC500.
For $107,000 I need more horsepower. 472? That definitely isn’t enough.
Sure it has less horsepower than cars around the same price but it's lighter then those cars

@@Intricategamer13they’re are 80k and more reliable
Lexus needs to fire the marketing team. You can't advertise a car with the word TRACK EDITION and promise "uncompromised performance" and have a "weight reduced" 3900 lb car. I was dissappointed when I owned an F after 2 years of sluggish performance, 5 years later since owning one I am still dissappointed. They fall behind further and further every year performance wise. Sooner or later Eco boxes will start being competitive in terms of performance to Lexus's top tier "performance brand"
3900 lbs for a modern luxury sports car that has a V8 isn't crazy. Its actually on the lighter side. Just look at the weight of a BMW M4, CT5-V Blackwing, or RS5/RS6. Cars are heavy. What this car lacks in performance it makes up with in depreciating and reliability. RC Fs are the same price as cars twice their price when it first came out.
@@iJarib false, I owned an F and they are just about on par to their counterparts as far as depreciation. A 2015-2019RCF brand new was 70-80k (depending on how you option it) is selling at about 30k-55k used clean no accidents, depending on the mileage, an f80 m3 2015-2019 are going for the same price, again depending on the mileage. For reliability, if you can over look the valley plate leaks (which is pretty bad imo) sure it's decently reliable. For f8x bmw if you address the hub crank and a few other issues (it'll end up being about the same cost or less than a valley plate leak). Then for performance the f8x blows the F out of the water for a fraction of the cost . This is coming from an F owner of 5 years and I absolutely loathe bmws. There are two types of people; car enthusiasts who will call a spade for a spade and admit that this F platform is far behind in performance. They tried to do a track edition and failed. The only buyers are fan boys and rich people with no true knowledge of value to performance. For $110k you're in g8x comp territory and the s58 blows everything out of the water on that price range. With a few exceptions.
This car specifically is 3780lbs as much a new M2.
@@RandenMontalvo I should have been more specific, weight reduced from 3900* but even at 3782, it is extremely heavy compared to its other track edition counterparts parts
@@HtriZzy_ M cars are heavier actually all its track counparts are heavier GTs in its segment. This is the M4 segment etc. This car weighs as much as a new M2 and smaller than a LC500.
I agree - the exterior is timeless. Still loving my 2022 RCF. But I gotta admit the interior is very 1990's. I'm also surprised this is still in their line up - with all the EVs and hybrids. Will they refresh it at least once more before finally retiring it?
These cars look so good and are so rare to see, I love them!
For the price there are too many cars out there that make better track cars than the RCF, if it was in the 60-70k range it would be a great buy, but at north of 115k with options there are so many cars that will lap it for similar if not less cost.
But not as reliable as a Lexus
@@Officialzeezy Maybe, but pretty damn close, corvetes, GTRs etc...slight trade off in reliability for massive performance gain, my 2015 C7 Z06 only had a leaking belt tensioner that cost 400 bucks in its 9 yrs of life so far, pretty good for a 650hp car.

Yeah yeah everybody's got their opinions about this car. I still can't believe that Lexus actually beat Corvette, Porsche and Lamborghini in a race. Japanese technology is not tonbe underestimated.
The race version of the car, Toyota has won similar events before. Unfortunately the RC F for the public is nothing like the race car version, extremely underpowered and too heavy, also overpriced compared to the performance of the cars in its price range.

The RCF is WAY more unique and rare compared to the C8 corvette (every boomer has one.) RCF everyday of the week. I actually like that the RCF is retaining a lot of it's older hardware, means it will actually hold up 10-15 years down the line from now, the same can't be said of others in it's class.
Never. The vette holds the name "mid life crisis mobile"for a reason, and it still stays true to that even with the C8. I've seen far more C8s than I've seen RCF's by a long shot. Rcfs will be rarer yes,but they will never, ever, top the C8 in how often those are seen with 50-80 year old men driving them.
