- I was lucky to get the chance to drive a Lexus IS500. Automatically became my favorite car to drive after one pull. The naturally aspirated V8 pushes 471hp and sounds insane! Easily one of the best V8's on the market as of now. It's fun, smooth, sounds amazing, and goes fast. From the luxurious features, to the raw engine power, the IS500 is truly the full package. Enjoy the drive.

Transmission... A lot of people do not understand the car. It's the reincarnation of Jekyll and Hyde. 😀 If you want it to be lazy shifting (typically attributed to a Lexus), then keep it in normal. If you want crisp shifts; click it into Sport S+, slide it into manual, and wait until 6000 - 7000rpms to shift. Totally different car. (Once fully warmed up.) The 500 is awesome, even if I wasn't a fanboy. 😈😜 Thanks for posting!

@@captainsparklezx13 I had an ‘06 IS350….freaking LOVED that car! I had it in ECT PWR mode all day every day, thing was a beast! 😎
@@blu_is500 No way I have an 06 as well! The car loves being driven hard and to rev out when it’s on ECT power and then you switch it back into normal mode and it knows you’re back to cruising around. Exactly like you described it has 2 personalities depending on what you tell it to do
Yeah it seems as though a lot of folks aren’t understand the car in terms of its “clunky” transmission.

Picked one up for 62K last year. 2023 IS500 premium used with 2,300 miles on it. Credit union gave me a new car rate since miles and year. U should probably put 14k down. That’ll help.

Using public water to wash car is not a good idea. I always use Distilled water to clean my car. it costs only $1.29/galon at Target.
Ditch the midpipe and keep the stock exhaust you will be happy

@@SportModePlushe’s talking about removing the mid resonators and replace them with straight pipe in the middle only and keep the stock mufflers on the end of the exhaust and it will sound 100 times better there is a lot of restriction on that exhaust and when you open it up and get some flow it sounds way better .
