I've taken to describing them as cosmic rock to people who haven't heard of them, but basically just saying it's very heavy rock with lots of electronic infusion and a focus on cinematic melodies all wrapped in a neat sci-fi/space theming

Tons of this tracks composition is thematic. The main synth riff is descending, against the flat and powerful barely moving guitar acting as the ground. as is the synth in the chorus, constantly trickling down, so many melodies ij this song are literally falling to the ground over and over.
