  • I recently picked up a set of Eastwood detachable ramps for the Taco Potato Mustang garage and this week, we’re seeing how they stack up against the ubiquitous Rhino Ramps. I tried out the new ramps with both my 2014 Mustang GT and my Fox Mustang project car. Thanks for watching!

I had issue with the Rhino scrapping the front lip as well. It was just a hair too tall.

2x4 wheel cradles. Make them as high as a good jack can go. All four wheels. Have enough room to pull a tranny out.

Thanks for the suggestion, Funky. I’ve thought about trying something like this eventually. How does it work as far as getting the car onto multiple cradles? Seems like it would be unstable when you have one cradle in place and are trying to get another side/wheel up. 🤔

Just don't forget to reattach the other half before backing off. That could ruin your weekend.

Hey bud, after living with them for a while are they high enough for oil changes? Got a 2022 GT!

I think they work well enough for oil changes, assuming your 2022 is not significantly lower than my 2014. Getting to things a little further back from the engine bay - I think you would need to use a jack/jack stands in addition to the ramps, if that makes sense.

how much height do you get with these ramps? I was thinking about getting something like this so I can put on a front splitter on my car.

Do you have to drop any part of the bumper or anything crazy like that? I think it would be sufficient for putting a splitter on a Mustang but I don’t know the height off the top of my head. Could try to measure when get some garage time soon.

@@TacoPotatoMustangyeah it is just unscrewing 10 10mm bolts from underneath the car, placing the splitter in, screwing the 10 10mm bolts back in, and then for added security, a total of 8 self tapping screws in.

Thanks David! I’m not sure on the clearance needed for removing a Camaro alternator but I would also be looking for alternatives to paying $1200. Now I’m craving some Burger King, lol.
