He deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. More than half of the wrestlers ended up using his moves such as the ankle lock and the armbar.
I agree!
He's Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer
ARM BAR!
like he invented them lol.
@@Joker-no1fzIt’s not that he invented the moves, but he’s the one who brought them into the company. He’s the one who showcased the simple ankle lock as a high-caliber move.
Here after seeing Rock's congrats vid on Shamrock's Impact HOF induction.
You know, as much as we love the dirt and all that, it's refreshing to see two cats that just have total respect for each other
I think it really speaks volumes to The Rock's character. i mean it's been well documented that he and Triple H had a pretty intense professional rivalry...but The Rock recorded a video message basically congratulating HHH on 25 years with WWE and telling him how he's done incredible work with NXT and stuff.
Didn't 3H and some of the DX members tried to bury the young Rock?.@@skippythealien9627
@@user-ml2lk7dy7k i think HBK is the one that has the most fraught relationship with The Rock. I think in prepping for his most recent match in Wrestlemania, Rock and HBK finally buried the hatchet but it was kind of an unspoken thing for years that they were not on good terms
I know with HHH, they definitely had a very real professional rivalry with each other. But they were able to patch those things up and work together in a great way. that's why their matches were so great
Feud of the Year in 98, IMO
I totally forgot they feuded on and off for the entire year starting in Jan at the Royal Rumble all the way until Ken joined the Corporation and later Rock joining the Corporation at Survivor Series.
Triple h and the rock???? Lol dam how quickly do we forget...the dx and nation feud was the whole 98
Agreee
I respect your opinion but to me Austin vs McMahon was THE feud of 1998, with Undertaker vs Kane as a close second
Rocky made Ken look like a million bucks and vice versa. Definitely a top contender for feud of 98.
still can't believe they never put the wwf belt on him, he was so talented and super believe bad ass cause he is
Really good Feud, Rocky bashing Kens head in with those chair shots lol
Really Good interview pieces.
shamrock would be a top guy in any other era
Triple H will sabotage him
@@spinebuster9490In ‘98-‘99, Shamrock was held at a higher level in the company than HHH was. I just finished watching ‘98 and I’m one month into ‘99 and it seems to me that Ken had the Intercontinental belt far longer than HHH had the European belt in that time.
You’ve also got to factor in that during that era, you had Stone Cold, Mankind, and The Rock working at top-tier levels, and even most of the jobbers were phenomenal performers. It was really difficult for the spotlight to shine on everyone on the roster who was deserving.
You had Edge as a low-card, Goldust was just there to Shatter Dreams as filler, Al Snow was comic relief, Mark Henry was starting to shine. It was a very difficult era to stand out in because the rest of the crew was just so damn good.
Ken’s biggest drawback was his mic skills. If he’d been better at promos or if he’d had a great manager to do the talking, Ken would have left a bigger legacy in the WWE.
Im here after The Rock inducted Ken a great rivalry they had but respected each other in real life
you are the best ken shamrock
Electro Gamer34 no hes not
ken is OK...that's all I can say...I respect Dan Severn,in his wrestling and mma fighting, and his overall mentality on fighting as a sport in general,& his knowledge & true understanding about pro wrestling & the history, so he is able to put it on a respectable plain,is the only way I can think to say it. I listened to a story matt borne told that kinda confirmed for me how I thought ken was...but no,ken is OK,superior athlete yeah
He thinks sontoo
Great to see one legend appriciate another. Rock - the most entertaining and talented pro wrestler
Shamrock- The real deal the complete fighter, besides being a legend at the UFC you were great in WWF as well - much respect to you sir
They should've given him a manager like Jim Cornette or Vince himself and he could have been pushed as a near unstoppable world champion.
To anyone who hasn't heard it, go take a listen to Shamrock on Steve Austin's podcast. Really interesting stuff.
Zach Johnson I didn't even know they did one! Thanks
Who's here after the rock congratulates shamrock on his induction to the Impact hall of fame
That's awesome the amount of mutual respect they have for each other. I just watched a video where The Rock is congratulating Ken on his induction into the IMPACT HOF. Truly awesome and very nice to see positive talk.
This guy asked The Rock to swing the steel chair stiff. Hats off, man.
I have been watching WWE Network during the Attitude era, and that was a very interesting time with Rock and Shamrock being on the rise. It would have been interesting to see Shamrock vs. Benoit or Kurt Angle. I know he had an opportunity in MMA, but I can't help to feel that he missed a lot of payoff in 2000 that he built up in 97 through 99. He left, literally, right before the two or three most interesting years in WWE.
Seekarr he's an mma and UFC legend doubt he gives a fuck .
No way in hell the 2000's were better than 96 97 98 99... The era of DX the Nation of Domination, stone cold and the heart foundation was the best. The rock was at his best performance when he was a Weasley heal during his run as a member of the nation.
@@Scientists_dont_lie
He was also at his best as Hollywood heel in 2003.
@@Scientists_dont_lie huh, that's bullshit
Ken shamrock was the rocks first rival in WWF I still remember that chair shot
he's so humble.. why doesn't he give himself a few probs
THAT CHAIR SHOT! No hands up. Wow! Ken took it.
Loved seeing these guys on the come up
Shamrock legend of UFC.
The rock and ken shamrock is two of my favorite wwe wrastlers in my 9 favorite wwe wrastlers list.
I met Ken shamrock and he was really cool really nice dude
Alot of people have said the same, that the man is a class act and great to fans.
Great interview
Legend ufc fighter and legend wrestler in the best era ever.
Thanks ken, congrats on your induction into impact wrestling hall of fame
Legend
I remember when I won the WWF Championship with Shamrock in WWF Not Mercy for n64. He always was a very talented and multiple moves guy (even in the game)!
I love how Ken would punch his head then yell before his matches lol. True psycho. Loved that whole era of wrestling
Remember how often Ken Shamrock would change cities where he hailed from? So cool when he chose the same city I live in. _From Sacramento California..._ That was great. I think he lived in Elk Grove or Galt at the time.
Attitude Era was the shiznit!!! Ken character and storyline was as awesome as the others in his time. Val Venus with Ryan Shamrock(ken’s character sister) was one of my favorites!!
I loved The Ken Shamrock, Mankind, and The Rock vs Undertaker and Kane..... one of the craziest matches in Raw history IMO
King of the Ring final 1998 is one of the most unheralded matches. Rock and Shamrock put on a classic IMO
Definitely deserves to be in the hall of fame ken shamrock brought legitimacy to the wwf when he came into wrestling from ufc
And now the rock inducted shamrock into impact hall of fame!crazy..
Before angle and brock, there was shamrock.
Shamrock, Angle & Lesnar
vs
Taz and The Steiners.
Most people I hear talking about the rock have nothing but good things to say about him
The Rock and Stone Cold are good examples of how big of stars guys can become when they're finally allowed to go out there and be themselves. Vince didn't make those guys. He had them saddled with lame pathetic gimmicks when they first came to the WWF. Fast forward to today and if people wonder why the product sucks. You have a bunch of clones out there being told what to say and what to do.
Jim Pimmers But "they" still call Vince a genius though...😂
Solid business man no doubt but this idea of Vince being some kind of wrestling genius has always been a complete joke.
James8107 genius? was, hes not anymore. 'they' ? becuz hes their boss maybe? and look at pg stories or gimmicks or ratings theyre awesome or entertaining or high? merch selling to money makers countries like india or to the kids its not huge. hes right without tv 14 and freedom they were not super stars and legends if was pg since day
You ever notice how every big time angle seems to always be about the McMahon's
CM Punk is a perfect example of this especially when they cut his mic off during a promo with HHH
The Ken Shamrock joke: "Ken Shamrock should donate his chin to a jewish wedding." Obviously it has been around for a long time and I just found it a week ago.
shamrock the truth
I always dug Shamrock's run.
the rock is the goat
Wait? Did he say he was the number 1 guy with the Rock at that time? Really???
"...on the rise"
Yes Shamrock was because The Rock wasn't where he is right now back in 1998, he was on his way up the ranks but he wasn't there yet.
Shamrock was over as hell in 1997. Still don't know why the didn't have Bret drop the strap to him. A Shamrock Austin feud would have been money.
And their feud was for the Intercontinental championship when it was still a high valued title.
ken you are star hope u had a chance to hv match with Brock
Shamrock vs the rock royal rumble was HILARIOUS!!!! Best cheap win ever..
The NATION OF DOMINATION made the rock..
The most politically INCORRECT faction in wrestling history IMO

He shoulda been wwf champ at least one time
He had attitude issues according to Jim Ross
lmao gotta love Kenny's confidence, although he was never the number 1 guy lol in today's product easily, but not then, it was way too stacked and Rock was on fire with SCSA
@A Fury HHH was never the top guy untill 2000or 2001.
His nose is still swelled from from that chair shot to the face by the rock
That was from the Nasty Boys hotel room beat down. They definitely broke it.
WWF ATTITUDE 😪
scamrock looks like he is 80. looks like kramer on a bad day
Michael James what do you have against shamrock
Brin back ken shame Rock hashtag
Ken "The Rock" Shamrock vs Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson always made me think to myself "Wrestling has too many characters named 'The Rock.'" ... I remember Don "The Rock" Muracco. ... And then there is the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is called "The Rock" in the Bible. ... The simple fact is, when I heard the term "The Rock," I don't think of any one particular wrestler.
Michael Zoran Peter was called the rock not Jesus 👍
hahaha, number 1 guy ken shamrock
Not only this, if you listen to Jim Cornette over the screw job he even suggested Shamrock be the one Bret dropped the title to... Some schmuck doesn't get to a main event at Summerslam and win the title. He was a bottom tier main eventer, much like Mick Foley. He was over, but not Austin, Rock, or Triple H over. Shamrock should have had at least 1 WWE/F title reign.
@@Kjraider2009 "hhh over" lol the meme that paul was ever over needs to die.
Shamrock was way over in 97 98
"We.were.the top.two guys" umm you forget about SCSA?
Top 2 in their division ..the intercontinental title picture.
He looks like he’s looking for a fight.
>hhh
ken could have slayed big show... i dont think even somoa joe could have beat him in a real fight... if ken got u in a hold, ankle or anything, you would be missing a limb, or u would tap, and hope mario yamasaki wasnt the ref... lol
I love Ken but he was never a #1 guy.
In the intercontinental picture ..!
GET OUT OF HIS WAY!!!!
Biggest Ego ive ever seen. Upper mid carder at best
pingi223 yea really..good worker but definitely wasn't a number 1 guy..he'd be a star today tho
jon Johnson what is a muppey?
jon Johnson what's a the the? Ignorant fuck
jon Johnson speak English? Proof read your original comment. Bye Felicia.
yo what's a dawg tho
Lmfao... did he really say he was a #1 guy on the rise hahahhaha That guy is delusional
The Bella twins are in the hall of fame….and ken shamrock isn’t…
Ken sure likes to stroke his own ego.. kept comparing himself to the Rock the entire time.. “we were the two guys on the rise” sorry no Rock and Austin.. not Rock and Shamrock
