I can look past all our disagreements
And still see life on the other side
On the sunny slopes of my personal hope
Dear, someday I'll hold you
As a groom does his bride
That sun still shines in its strength in this way
Though I sense and fear it will set
And even if it sinks beyond the horizon
The moon we both marvelled at
won't let us forget ...
And I want you with an old timey love
To cherish and prize til I depart
But I've lost you and can't give up the search
With this old timey love in my heart.
