I honestly quite like the shining armour pony life toy.
I liked the ponyville line. Not the anthro ones tho. Actually most of the ponyville ponies were not anthro. The original line was kind of a weird blend of G3 and G3.5 with sculpted hair, and just in regular four legs poses. I liked them for the following reasons:
- They came with a shit ton of accesories. Clothes, food, furniture, wehicles, houses, and I did have an actual literal Ponyville in the middle of my childhood room.
-They were small, and they fit in my girl pockets in my girl pants, and I could take multiple of them places without having to carry a whole ass backpack or purse.
With all this, I still have a complaint:
-The only ponyville unicorn they released was Sweety Belle, and similarly, the only pegasus was Starsong.
Sooo yeah, the ponyville line was a solid 9/10 for me. Not the anthros tho. Those looked weird af, and you couldn't really play with them, cause the fact that they were depicted as already doing somethig was really... weird.
I want to see HeXtian repaint that Flash doll to make him look less like a Bart Simpson dollar store knock off 🥴
I honestly kind of like the pony life ones. I find the style simplistic, cute, and a little humbling since hasbro always tries really hard to get the model right. Though, I can’t do the actual hair, the plastic hair is just better when it comes to the shape, even though it doesn’t have all the colors. I mean, you can always just paint it on. Also, had no idea it came from a show, just thought they were trying something different.

I actually have a GoH Twilight that has the teeth painted in, the packaging actually shows them painted, although I'm pretty sure most of the ones I saw in the wild were unpainted. I still dislike the face since it meant that GoH Twilight can't be used for anything but a "fight" display, she look's out of place at a tea party or just in a line up of other GoH figures with more neutral expressions.

I'm one of the few people that actually like pony life figures because it reminds me of littlest pet shop, which was my childhood. However the hair I can do without. I'd prefer if the hair was plastic, and I prefer no fetlocks like in the FIM show. Another small little tweak to the pony life figures that could make it better is make the muzzle closed
They actually made pony life ponies with a plastic hair varrient. And they have the og hairstyles as well. They had a unicorn pack for starlight and trixie, a mane six pack and the fashion packs for sunset and the princesses and they actually don't look that bad.

Oh hey, I have number 8. Got her and a regular G3.5 Dash in a bundle of mostly G4 toys I found in a charity shop. I've never thought about how messed up the legs were until now, so thanks for that. :P
I have that purple-toothed GoH Twilight figure. I've kept meaning to paint her teeth in myself but she's shoved in a storage tote somewhere and I have nowhere to display it at the moment, so I can't be bothered.
Also, I almost completely forgot that the fandom called Flash "Brad" for the longest time. Good memories.

I have to admit I really like the Equestria Girls dolls for the most part, I definitely don't enjoy them as much as the brushables but some of them are really cute and I love to add them to my growing collection!
The problem with the wierd lil rainbow dash baby thing isn't that horses legs couldn't bend that way, the problem is that instead of modeling its legs after ungulate anatomy (hooved animals) they modeled them after plantigrade anatomy (like humans or bears) so it gives a sort of uncanny feel

The fact the mlp g5 Hitch toy has a solid plastic hair AND comes in a set with a hairbrush. Like what they want people to do with that hairbrush? Brush Hitch’s hair?? Well that’s impossible, because he’s hair is solid plastic blob!

In my opinion the ugliest ones are g3 babies and indeed equestria girls dolls.
2:29 Yeah the back of the card shows her with painted teeth. She looks pretty decent if you paint them in. I love both my GoH Twilight molds. But the Pirate Captain Movie Twilight is by far the best! As a male I prefer the pony action figures to the brushables. I like being able to pose them with the level of articulation they have in the head, tail, and limbs and wings. The changeling dude is adorable. I also have many brushables too. I'm proud of my modest little collection. But yeah, Twi looks pretty weird without painting her teeth in, makes a huge difference if you paint them. To Tartarus with keeping it mint condition. Paint those pearly whites, baby! >;2

tbh imo I like the pony life ones, they're like in a chibi style, if that's what Hasbro was going for then it's understandable why they have huge heads and they look cute, in ur tier list I would change some of the orders of it but overall I agree
tbh i'm not actually that mad at some of the pony life dolls. smashin' fashion, yeah, i do have two of em but they're not good. but the pony life ones? even though they're really not that great looking with brushable hair, i'd argue the little ~3 inch figures are absolutely adorable, i have that glitter unicorn set and then also aj and fluttershy which i wanna test some custom stuff out on :)

I agree that the G3.5 and Pony Life figures are really ugly - I have several of these in my own collection for my sins, and they’re just there for no reason really!
I kind of agree the the original Equestria Girls toys did look absolutely dreadful. I personally prefer the EG Minis, because they just look so much more show-accurate. What confuses me is that Hasbro made large dolls of all three Dazzlings, but only an aeG Minis figure of Adagio Dazzle, and I refuse to get the dolls of Aria and Sonata because they look so weird!
At some point I’m thinking about making a similar video, but about all the goof ups that Hasbro made in MLP toys.

When I was at a large antique store, I found one of those best bye eye ponies. I took a picture of it. And like you said about the eyes rusting, it was rusted. The skin was like a hot pint with lime green hair.

I sort of like the shining armor with the suit, yeha the brows are weird but I find it cute. and sure with proper paint tools you can make a really neat custom. I sort of really want it.
I didn't like the pony life toys either but I don't know I still don't hate the Smashin Fashion for some reason. I think some of them are like "uglycute", especially that Shinning Armor with glasses on. I totally understand why you don't like them or think they're ugly tho.

In my opinion, the Gen 1 Show Art Style doesn’t look bad, it’s actually kinda cute, but the Toys can look wonky and uncomfortable at times.
Also, out of all the standing up G3 toys, the clothed Pinkie holding Balloons is the best out of all of them.
Also, those mermaid versions of the G3 Ponies and the G3 removable Hair Ponies are also ugly.

Rusty eyed ponies are creepy and ugly, the moment I 1st saw one, I thought “no thanks bro”.
Also, I didn’t like the movie toys from FiM, you know, those rebooted toy series of ponies with big round heads, they looked more like aliens instead of ponies…
I compared them to the originals (the ones from 2010-2017 before movie) and I just prefer the old series.
Also, I didn’t like Pony Life’s toys neither and, so far, I think G5’s toys are fine (I bought a special edition of Princess Petals that includes a microphone, she can sing and she has “interactive wings”, I really liked the design as well).

I HAVE THE GUARDIANS TWILIGHT. i used to use her as the villain when I was 5 because she looked evil and then when I was 6 I tried to fix her teeth with white nails polish and now she has pink, blue and white nail polish all over
