First let me say it was not easy to find the actuator for the bottom latch. I had to reach inside that panel with the liftgate closed. I kept tracing which rod actuated which latch until I could push on the latch enough to get the bottom to release and get the tailgate to swing open. I wish I could be more descriptive but not being able to see anything made it very difficult.
Will give this a try. Tried all the other fixes, never stayed fixed for long. Thanks for the video

How did you get it open in the first place, in order to make the fix? I can't get mine to pop open (swing) whatsoever.
