- I was asked to make a coffee table by a customer but they wanted it made from pallet wood and we agreed a price of £500 or $630.
The only problem was I've never made anything from pallet wood before!!
Thanks to Jesper from Jesper makes for his video

Thanks Andy I really enjoyed making it
Really great job :)
Your too kind thanks
Love the comedy!
Haha thanks
Hi, you there, Steve...What a beautiful project ! ... I used to paint the legs of the tables with black color...i think these two colors ( wood pallets and black ), they combine very well.
Wagner ... Brasil 👊😉
Hi Wagner thanks for watching and thanks for your kind words. Your so right the combination of pallet wood and black go so well together Cheers
Fantastic job! I've been watching Jesper and Dainer Made but always thought we don't have the colour variation in UK pallet wood for this sort of thing. Hope to see lots more of your projects!
Thanks very much for the encouragement
Great video Steve. Who of thought pallet wood could look sleek and stylish. Lovely job man 👌
Thanks so much Ben I love this table
Stunning table. Great build vid.
Thank you so much Ken
This is a beautiful piece of work, a real nice looking table!!! Israel Perez viewing and enjoying your work from Guatemala, C. A.👍🙏
Thanks so much Israel
Smashed it Stevie baby 🔥🔥
Cheers John
Steve, if you use a bit of paste wax on the arms of the clamps that’ll stop the glue sticking. Great job!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the great tip
Regardless of building off of someone else's plans, crafmanship was brilliant. Very informative and well put together video 👍🏾
Thanks so much Damien glad you liked it
do you make all your projects from your own plans?
@garryfish7426 Hi Gary the coffee table was not my plans but it had never been made Ron pallet wood everything else is my designs
@@SteveBellCreates Absolutely great build just sourced a couple of euro pallets and tomoz start the break down and planning. As to design I'm absolutely rubbish 🤣🤣and that is why I leave it to far more creative people than me and more than happy to pay for there hard work and creativity keep up the great work love the channel best regards Gaz
@garryfish7426 cheers Gaz good luck with the build I would love to see what you come up with
Also had trouble taking a load of very old pallets apart recently to make an Adirondack chair. All bent over nails. Brute force was just breaking the slats but in the end I had success with a hacksaw blade between the joins and sawing through the nails, which could then just be drifted out.
Yeh I’ve seen people using a saw to cut through the nail’s whatever gets the job done
Deano here from Napa Valley, CA, USA. I will keep you in mind in case I see someone looking for a bald man able to remove nails from palletes!!
Haha cheers Deano
pls sir post more project designer with pallets
Thank you for watching I have a couple planned in the next few months
Well done! Who would have thought, that this was once an ugly pallet 😀👍
Thanks yes I was amazed it really did turn out so good thanks for watching
Great build Steve! You've never built anything with pallets? Could've fooled me! 😁👍
Oh thanks a lot man. I didn’t think I would like working with pallets but it really enjoyed it
Yes, I like it
Thanks
This is great!!! Quick questions, I might have missed it but what about the nail holes?
Thanks so much Victor with regard to the nail holes. The top is side grain so the nail holes are on the sides that are glued together. The base is made from the stretchers of the pallet I tried to avoid as many nail holes as possible when cutting the pieces out but the ones that were left I filled with some wood filler and the black finish really hides them
Hope that helps and thanks so much for watching
👍🏼
Cheers
Cheers
Enjoyed the video! Did you use different measurements on the legs and stretchers from the plans? I’m guessing the length of the top will be shorter than 48 inches as it’s pallet wood
Thanks Bill yes the whole table was slightly smaller than the actual plans partially due to the size of the pallet wood but the guy who bought it wanted a smaller table
My like video number is 55..
Thing is,the amount of time it takes to clean up that pallet wood costs more than buying finished lumber🤷
Well done! I suppose the only downside to the build was breaking down those pallets!!!
Thanks I really enjoyed making the table and the pallets took about 45 -60 minutes to break up only one stubborn one so not too bad but thanks for watching cheers

Steve, I went to Foureyes via your link, but I was unable to locate any plans on his channel. Can you be more specific with a link to the plans? Or something more tangible to assist me out here. I love the table design, and would love to give it a shot too. Thanks in advance! P.S. the only thing I came across was this: Sign up to get notified when the course goes live. Is this where the plans are? Are they emailed to you? Thanks again.
I figured it out (finally). I have the course now. Thanks for sharing their idea, and making yours out of Pallet Wood! I'll do the same now.
@MichaelDavidHiltner great! I can’t wait to see what you make
What are the parallel clamps you are using throught tge video?
Hi I got the set from a company in the uk called Rutlands you can search for them online
Great build. Music is a hard NO.
Glad you liked the build
I want to copy you and make this same coffee table. I'm looking at the plans and it says the top is 48" long but pallets are rarely 48" long in that direction. Was your table shorter?
Hi I made my coffee table 92 cm long about 36 inches as that’s what the client asked for I can’t remember how wide I made it but the proportions looked great when it was done. I’m sure you can make it any size you want. I would love to see your table when it’s done good luck 🤞
@@SteveBellCreates Thank you!
Stick those rusty nails in some veniger let it sit for few days strain it out then you've a finish for different woods but works amazing on oak. So am told.
Cheers I’ll give it a go
Table looks lovely.
But one thing i would say (for myself) i cringe every time i see a person using either a table saw or planer/jointer with sleeves down, esp a wooly jumper.
Please may i suggest you always roll up your sleeves and tuck in your top so there is little chance you can get ‘snagged’.
Apart from that, a good video.
Perhaps you could use the domino for table frame jointing too, it is a skill in itself, but something you will achieve with practice.
👍
Thanks very much
Well I'm guessing from the actsent and the fact that you call the yard a garden . You must be someplace in the UK
Hi thanks for watching yes your right I’m from Yorkshire in the North East of England
