Happy memories. The paint job. Riding it around your parents small back garden in circles. Fun times. 👍🏻👏🏻

I had a brand new 1971 Green & white C50 & a used mintish yellow & white C70 in 1975 Both had the same top speed on flat on clock of 45 mph & 53 mph down long strait slope on a good day .The c70 climbed hills & picked up speed slightly better .Once a C50 or 70 is fettled points & valves set correctly. It should start first kick & only need choke in Baltic conditions go the moon & back on a whiff of juice & only break down for the odd puncture .👍

Nice looking bike, I have a blue 1976 one waiting for me to get around to restoring it.

I am trying to sort out a well bodged 1975 Cub. Is your lights on/off switch on the left handlebar? I have a broken top to a switch next to the dip/main switch, but a 3 position ignition switch, the 3rd position possibly 'running with lights'. Do you have a 3 position ignition switch?

Yeah the on off and high low switches are on the left handlebar and I have a 2 position ignition switch. This is the same as my c70 with the addition of a pilot light on the c70. I guess yours is a c90? They have a different charging setup.

@@TRISTANorTRIS Thanks for the reply. Mine is definitely a C50 though, but every single thing I look at has been bodged, so who really knows what has gone on with it in the past. Want to swap? Ha ha, maybe not.

@@simmosimmo100 yeah I’m lucky that all my bikes are unmolested. I’ve worked on a friends xs650 that was seriously bodged. It was more efficient to buy a new loom. Saying that the wiring on these hondas isn’t too complicated. You’ll just have to do some research.

I have a 3 position ignition switch, and a snapped off 'Lights on/off' switch on the handlebar. I've just discovered a usable 'Lights on/off' switch in my 'spares' box and managed to replace the busted off one without losing any tiddly ball bearings, microscopic springs or essential scraps of wafer thin copper sliders. Happy to say that I have tested the switch and it operates very nicely now, so as long as my ignition switch still turns 'off' and 'on', that is good enough for me.

@@TRISTANorTRIS Thanks. I am looking at everything I can, (Internet etc.) and gradually beating the poor thing into submission!

Oil control is wrong, you turn out the dipper, is not enough...You should turn out the dipper, clean the dipper, and check the oil with dipper upon the carterhole...Greets from Holland.

Greetings. Yeah I know this. I also know how high up the dip stick oil will show when done this way.
