  • I always have a 58mm SAK (Swiss army knife) on me.
Been using the rambler last couple weeks and it’s so much better then the classic, I can’t wait to try the other models. The rambler at $25 or less is a no brained to toss in your pocket.

The other big advantage over the classic is the orientation of the blade and scissors. On the Rambler, they point AWAY from the key ring, so it's easy to use these blades for quick cuts while the knife is still on your keychain. On the Classic, the main blade and scissors point TOWARD the key ring, so it's sort of a pain to use them quickly, especially if you have bulky car key fobs etc

@@CERTIFIEDFARTKAISER Their size makes them ideal for keychain carry. I carry my manager on my keychain. Best most useful tool I posses. Yes it does scratch up the sides but oh well. I don't carry it to look at it.

Agree 100%. This seems to be a huge oversight on the Classic. Also the file rubs against the knife blade slightly. The Rambler and Manager series got it right for sure.

SAKs are brilliant. And regardless of the steel snog brigade the steel used by Victorinox holds a nice edge for edc tasks and are incredibly easy to resharpen. The tools hold into place nicely and I’ve used them more times than I care to remember on everything from opening toys to stick in yet more fresh batteries to taking off and replacing doors. Just bought my 5th...

I want this to replace my old Squirt S4 just for the phillips. The flat phillips on the leatherman is very poor and can't handle much torque. It also tends to slip in larger screws. The bottle opener looks more substantial as well. This has every tool I use on my leatherman, just as good if not better in execution.

Any Victorinox you carry will remind you of him. Check out Compact, Mountaineer, Ranger, Champ and consider the Executive 74 mm. Depends upon what tools you do use. The file on the 91 mm works on metals and softer materials and still does finger nails. Scissors are so useful and you still get two blades and both can opener and bottle opener. Compact is a little odd - nail file is on the back of the multipurpose hook.
