So glad somebody broke it down for more than just "goggles".
I love diving into the nitty gritty of all the topics I cover, I’m glad you liked it!
What I've been waiting for
Really nice vid man, ive been looking through a few and this is definitely the best one to show the engi stuff for tbc. Only criticism i could make is if you could also add where you obtain each recipe for each of the engi things you mentioned
For sure! I’ll keep that in mind for my future ones 🙂
In 1944 German forces were occupying The Leaning tower of Pisa for it's strategic view of the surrounding area. The Allies had been tasked with demolishing buildings and resources in the area, but even with artillery pointed directly at the tower, they couldn't bring themselves to destroy the beautiful building. They went around.
I seriously try to make videos faster just for these comments
Good video. One thing though, you forgot to mention that super sappers require a Primal Mana to make 2. This is going to increase the cost from what we were used to severely, making it less attractive to use.
Great video mate, keep it going, looking forward to see Tailoring one xDDD
People are loving this video, so I’m definitely going to continue the series!
Was on the fence to keep engi but now I’ll definitely switch to blacksmith . Good vid , subbed !
Glad I was able to help in the decision! Welcome aboard!
Will you be making videos like this for all the crafting professions? Great information on this video 👍
I honestly might! This video is doing really well and getting great feedback, so looks like I’ve got a new series in the works! Haha
I currently have all classic recipes for engineering, for me this is another reason to stay on that. I do wonder if there is any need for the biznik scope in tbc..
Great stuff! Had no idea that the two sappers had different CDs! As a tank that is exciting for all of those aoe pulls
Dude isn’t that sweet?? It’s a game changer for tanks
@@AmmeTV1 oh yeah, finally getting TClap in D stance and now double sappers? Let’s go!! Lol
This was very helpful. Ty
No problem man, glad you liked it!
iirc the sapper and super sapper being on seperate CD's but having a 1 min shared CD (like all engineering explosives and many other explosives like crystal force) which always made it great to have both.
yeah 100%! The separate sappers are huge
Honestly I just want engineering for the chopper mount. It also compliments hunters well, but my question is if any of the guns made from engineering are any good, or are they kinda crappy like in vanilla?
Yeah the really only good ranged weapon is that one for tanks and that’s about it :/ amen on the chopper mount though! Seriously my favorite part hahaha
Solid guide thank you
No problem man glad you liked it!
There are the flame turrets as well for tryhard DPS as a niche option.
Can someone pls answer me ? I cant find it anywhere. Please which engineering is better for ret pala ? Gnomish or goblin? Do they have same googles or not ?
The goggles youve shown are just examples, right? Since the Mail one was for casters, but I remember that each dps/healer-"class" got its own version.
Oh yeah yeah, just examples, I couldn’t fit all of them on the screen 😂 every class has a goggle they can wear
should i drop it for BS and mace or should ik keep for goggles
@amme can you get the rocket launcher and gnomish poultryizer and use both, or you either stick with goblin or the gnomish one? Like in classic wow you go gnomish drop it then go goblin, will it be the same way in tbc doing one side then dropping for another ?
My gut says we won't be able to do that with the recent blue post about having to have a profession to use the associated gear, I assume that that will be specialization as well, but we'll just have to wait and see
@@AmmeTV1 yea good point, but what about hunter scopes and the tanking gun that you can create in engineering why can you create those for other people so they can use them but they aren’t engineers so why can they use them ? Makes no sense to put restrictions on professions imo
what about the flamethrower turrent? isnt that a big deal?
Is it possible in TBC or during pre patch change specialization from gnomish to goblin (or vice versa) without needing to cancel the proffesion and level it as whole again ?
I rmemebr there was some book intorduced in tanaris, but not sure if it was in TBC.
I know you can talk to trainers to switch BS and LW specs, so I would assume that would translate to engineering
EDIT: Switching between engineering specs wasn't added until Patch 3.2, where you could go to Tanaris and interact with a book to switch specs. You can see more about it here:
wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Goblin_Engineering
@@AmmeTV1 thanks!
It's weird that you didn't mention the extreme rocket boots, I remember they were usable in arenas or my mind is tricking me?
It was usable in arenas for awhile in OG TBC. Late TBC patches removed them from arena and its probably going to be removed from arena for tbc classic.
This right here, you can't use them in arena and we pretty much already had rocket boots in Classic so I just lumped the boots in with all the other gadgets :)
@@AmmeTV1 You also didn't mention the blue goggles, hyper vision goggles. They have an on-use stealth detection like perception. Is that confirmed to NOT work in arena? According to wowhead comments from 2008 it does work.
@@yeahnope620 You can use Goblin rocket boots in arena. You cannot use Gnomish Rocket Boots and you cannot use the X-treme rocket boots.
Dude, the helicopters for my tauren prot warrior. Queue Flight of the Valkyries, 100% agree with you!
Stam trinkets, goggles, bombs, sappers? Fluff ;)
It's all about the helicopter! Engineering is the BiS profession just for that!
You get to make Helicopters, Wicked shades, teleportation devices, portable repair bots, mail boxes, explosives, mechanical minions, and so much more!
Best Profession Ever!
Totally agree man! It’s so good!
technically it is a gyrocopter: the rotor is not powered. :)
You mention the teleporters aren't a pro or con either way since Outland is so small, but one thing to keep in mind is the teleporter to Gadgetzan for quick Caverns of Time access. Very convenient.
Oh very true! Def missed that
Quick question Amme, you say the goggles aren't in at launch, is that just the epic ones? Are the blue goggles going to be in so we can track motes from the get go?
Yes they should be! While the epic goggles came out in patch 2.1 back in the day, the Ultra-Spectropic Detection Goggles came out in patch 2.0.1 so as far as you know, you'll be able to track motes :)
@@AmmeTV1 Excellent news, and thankyou for the quick reply mate! Loved your video about Tailoring, especially about how it looked at whether it was worth it for each spec. Looking forward to the Leatherworking one with great enthusiasm!
Of course man! People are loving this Tailoring video, already working on the LW one!
You didn't mention Gnomish Battle Chicken, the CD is reduced from 30 min to 20 min, and the buff still stacks, and the chicken in itself does decent damage if it enrages. You can use it on trash before HKM to get it to proc for the fight, and you can use it on the trash before Gruul to prevent it being killed by Cave-in.
can you easily switch from Gnomish to Goblin? I only ready you need to re-learn and re-skill it. Is there no other way?
as a non-engineer player, i was ALWAYS super jelly of how cool the engineer mounts always looked, style-wise they are king.
Well now is your time to get the cool mount! Screw the min-max, go for the copter! Hahaha
I was planning to drop Engineering for something else, but this video convinced me that I should keep it. Great video!
Hey awesome! What was the deciding factor for you? Glad I could help you with that decision!
@@AmmeTV1 My other prof is Alchemy and I wanted another goldmaker prof, but the mote extractor is basically gathering so problem solved. :)
Are there bis goggles for mages?
there are 2 factors people should think about
1. do you do alot of wpvp and solo content?
2. do you have any other profession you would rather take?
personally taking engi because it adds to my toolkit in solo content and wpvp, and mostly because i dont rly have anything else i'd rather get. goggles are a nice bonus.
Yeah exactly! There's still tons of benefits to engineering in the Outlands
2:10 apparently you can't swap gear inside of the arena which sucks for if you wanna swap out of this thing
sappers needing a primal mana puts a big damper on being engi, as well as googles not being available until t6 likely, but i will prolly still lvl engi on my pally just for aoe grinding
Very true, luckily that's alleviated a tiny bit with the mote extractor, opens up the options on how to get those dang primals
Your Content Are Awesome i Mean I like It
I appreciate that man! Even more content coming!
can you switch from goblin to gnome easier in tbc? i dont remember
Switching between engineering specs wasn't added until Patch 3.2, where you could go to Tanaris and interact with a book to switch specs. You can see more about it here:
wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Goblin_Engineering
How much does mount cost to make, plus expert flying skill? 7,000 gold?
Honestly depends on the market! So it’s hard to tell as of right now
i wonder if its good to go both alchemy and engineering to get mote extractor then use the motes. But lacking materials otherwise
Honestly not going a full blown gathering profession in TBC won't be that big of an issue. The competition for resources will be very high and I think going alchemy and making money through meta gem transmutes and just flipping herbs into consumables should be pretty profitable, and then you can use that gold to fund the mats you need for engineering, stuff like that. I could totally be wrong, but I feel like that's gonna be the way to go :)
@@AmmeTV1 alright nice
I'm sad that both dynamite and target dummies won't get any upgrades past their Classic versions. Do you think Masterwork Target Dummies can still be useful in TBC, or won't they be able to tank enough level 70 damage?
I'm actually not too sure about the target dummies! I'll have to look into that :)
gnomish cloaking device and the parachute cloak should still work in tbc, right?
Yeah! All those little things still work ☺️ I should’ve done a quick “hey, all these still work” in hindsight haha
I really wanna drop Gnomish for Goblin.. but there's one question I can't find the answer to anywhere... Will I lose my recipes already acquired in Engineering if I drop it and re-level it to Goblin?
Afaik you won't be able to make them, but if you made them before you can still use them.
@@Cosmikh0bo As long as they're not Gnomish-exclusive then.. damn. I just got the recipes for both speed boots :-( Not much money in making them anyways I guess.. can't be used in arenas and world PvP is nonexistent. Oh well, I have al the ores I could ever want from my stealth runs, so I may as well do it
Sapper charges and gnomish battle chicken makes engineering bis for meleee.
Is going gnomish to grab trinkets and resetting/going back to goblin gonna be a thing in tbc?
As far as I know that still works! Let me double check, I’ll edit this when I know for sure ☺️ but I’m like, 99% that still works
i hear they're changing that so you cant do it anymore
@@AmmeTV1 do you have any results yet .. I wonder if the gnomish battle chicken is still worth it in TBC and if I should reskill or just instantly go for goblin as feral tank .. can't find any good guide about the differences of gnomish and goblin in tbc
Can you ankh faster on mags, lust on time and stop dying to infernals? Thanks :)
This guy
did you forget about rocket boots?
Don't you need to goggles to actually see the clouds though or am I missing somthing?
You do! But there’s a lesser form of goggles that just allows you to see the clouds that will be in the game 🙂
🤘
can you use the goggles in arenas? cheers
Yeah you can!
In terms of gold:effort, i wonder if its more worthwhile to just kill things for motes rather than collect them from clouds. I just don't see it worthwhile to tie up a profession slot just for motes, when most of the other professions in the game are much more lucrative.
Oh totally, in my closing statements I bring up that other professions are way more lucrative, the mote extractor is just one thing on the pro list for engineering. A big thing with the mob farm is that the amount of mobs is VERY limited, especially for things like motes of mana, I’m talkin really REALLY low amounts of mobs in the open world that drop those. So the mote extractor plus the cool other little additions could be the reason for someone to run it. Also, I’m a big believer in the “fun” aspect of the game and promoting that side of it when a lot of content is about “how to squeeze the most out of the game” and I’m over here like, bombs and helicopters! Haha that comment got away from me, but yeah, I just think it’s worth making content that addresses all aspects of the game, and sometimes cool little gadgets and gizmos are whats more worthwhile for someone ☺️ From my min-max POV, I agree with you on other professions being more lucrative 😄
@@AmmeTV1 I will say being a miner and eng i pick up a lot of extra gold farming them both. Also Find Minerals and and Dectionion goggles stack for easy finding of both.
Should I go Gnome or Goblin as rogue pvp in TBC?
That’s a tough one because in arenas, nothing works except that belt. For general PvP, goblin is the move for grenades
i have engineering 375 - then how can craft "goblin rocket launcher " ?
Dungeon drop I think
good video
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Watching now, cuz I'm currently engineering
Hopefully you like it!
How is the mote extractor a big money maker?I thought only engeniers can use those or am I missing something?
Sell the primals you farm with it
@@chrisroberts5300 nevermind xDD
Wait wait wait I thought they confirmed frost reflect trinket was a thing in arena?
If it does work, it’s not gonna be worth because of the added “unreliable against targets over level 60” thing
I will run Engineering and blacksmithing on my ret. Was Hoping the goggles are in with release :/ but i mean its still Beta maybe they will be in At release
Yeah who knows! It’s definitely a long shot with them not being in beta, but fingers crossed!
Can you craft The helicopter and then unlearn engi?
Unfortunately you can't :/
Engineering was basically the only thing that kept me going in classic. On Stalagg I've sold over 50, 000 sappers and I'm approaching 60k. I started October 2019 and I continue. I waged AH wars for resources and still never farmed a single stack of mithril, mageweave, or solid stone. When I got lazy prices shot up and I undercut my competition while still making gold on every sapper sold. So you say regular sappers still a thing let's go to the moon.
Hopefully you can keep the business going! haha
Strange not to mention the new rocket boots, even if not in arenas, anyone becomes a flag carrier with those things on.
Yeah I just lumped those in with all the other gadgets that can still be used, probably could’ve included them though ☺️
I dig that mount though
Yo it's nice isn't it???
As a Classic hunter player…. And the rare Arena/pvp hunter I felt attacked @3:00 by all the Chad warrior rerollers
John C Reilly giving me engineering advice hell yeah!
LOL, I will honestly say, I've never been told I sound like him, I'll take it though! Shake n' bake!
Forgot about the most OP item. Battle Chicken.
Totally. When I made this the drums change hadn’t been announced yet and the battle chicken doesn’t stack with drums so it was super niche. With the drums change, battle chickens get a lot stronger
More professions videos pls pls pls
People are loving these so I 100% will be making more!
The flyingmounts alone are cool enough to justify engineering :F
Bro 1000%
So why is it BIS for tanks..? You kinda never explained
I did throughout the video, not in one specific section. Sappers for aoe threat, tank goggles are BiS regardless of when they come out, and the most important one, the trinkets
surprised you didn't mention the gnomish flame thrower
I totally missed it, when I’m doing these vids things always fall through the cracks, and the flame thrower wasn’t being talked about yet in the class discords when I was researching
First to comment on this awesomeness!
Wow, you were actually second!
7:40 I loved the normal jumper cables while leveling in classic because they worked like a charm probably 9 out of 10 times. As soon as I crafted the XL ones I'm now at 10 tries with no luck whatsoever. I think the old ones are better.
i had the exact opposite experience with jumpers.
The sapper thing is nice and all. But I'm pretty sure they share CD with drums so.... Yeah
Ew, drums ;)
What makes engineering great is if u arleady got it for classic u wont have to reskill it for Wrath of the lich king XD
Hahaha the long game! I love it xD
They obviously had to Nerf it. it was way to OP in Classic :) thats why i loved it lel. as Priest i did Fear them, get out of combat changed trinket and came again. it was such a hardcore proffession.
Ooooooo did power leveling engineering, so that my guild could down Viscidous, finally pay off!? 🤓😜
HELICOPTER FALINGO INCOMING
Objectively the best PvP and PvE profession
There are no cons. The mote extractor is the best thing about it in BC.
my cables worked way less
Hi it’s me
Hello!
Is helicopter helicopter?
I mean...
Helicopter.
Engineering... is it any good now?
This does kind of sound like a WillE video 😂
Sappers lose their value in TBC though, since they share CD with Drums
Not everyone will be a LW! I’m a big believer in rejecting the drum meta haha
flying machine is too loud. wtb a silencer mod for it
LOL
"Why is engineering bad" said nobody ever.
You'd be surprised! Lots of people think the big nerfs engineering gets in TBC make it not worth
Always will be engineering
i love that so many of these 'meta' videos seems to have forgotten about frost grenades
they're in there.... LOL
" Who cares about min-max your char if you can fly around ... " gl on tbc with all retail players paying lv 58 boosts bcs its cute and making the tbc exp even more retailistic. I'll be on the other side of Dark portal.
Have fun on the Classic Servers! It seems like they’ll be making some changes to it so it actually seems like fun. I love TBC and can’t wait to get through the Dark Portal! People who don’t really enjoy the game will be like you and not play or stop playing once launch hype dies down, so it’ll all work out just like it did in Classic :)
First
How in the world did you comment that fast LOL
arcane bombs are ridiculous
Bro.... they’re awesome haha and will actually be useful now in tbc since arcanite bars won’t be so expensive
@@AmmeTV1 I've been using them on beta, I asked to 'hold the gbank of arcanite bars' and transferred a lot over rofl.
Hahaha that’s amazing 😂 they’ve felt good though? I haven’t had a chance to test them yet
@@AmmeTV1 Completely destroys a lot of pulls. Most things aren't immune to silences.
Dude that’s huge, biggest thing I want to test is if it works on trash in raids
Engineering is still massive bis in TBC!
Are you gonna be an engineer so that way you can be one IRL and in game!? 👀😂
.......... awkward LOL
Rip my first comment 😢
Emma you're gonna have to get serious about this, they were so fast this time hahaha
This guide didn't age well. Kinda mandatory for tryhard guilds, and especially physical dps for stacking Squawk buff.
I think it aged totally fine, since most of the people looking up guides aren’t the ones playing in super try hard guilds that require professions 😉
Removing the gogs made absolutely no sense and kinda pissed me off. Why not remove all other crafted gear that's good till bt then like spell strike. An engineer can make 1 damn thing and you took it from us till s2 when s2 gear was better. Can't even just let a nastalgia game be.
GL finding cLouds XDXDXD
Hahaha good luck finding any motes in Outland, it’s gonna be crazy 😆
