This reminds me of the good 'ol days of "squeezing" notes to avoid overlapping Star Power sections as well as playing some notes a few frames early to extract every last point out of the hold notes in the early Guitar Hero games.

Those Deluxe charts are so difficult I don’t even attempt them anymore.

Now it all makes sense. Holds are the enemy of Deluxe charts 😂. But for real, great video Vertigo!

Oh thanks for this! This video was why Hey Ya Deluxe was bugged! I kept on suffering missed hold ticks on that deluxe!
Yup! It’s not that that chart is “bugged” per se it’s the entire rail and switch hold swipes mechanic in ANY chart where they show up.
Is this the main reason why Bad Romance deluxe is absolutely terrible to get a DP?
One time I got 74,933 with 0 perfects. I missed all the Hold ticks 😂
@@isaiahiroaster5053 Yeah it’s terrible dude. Most I’ve got was 74.950 with 0 perfs, and even tried doing the swipes late but makes the song super awkward and causes just perfects.
Yup! Bad romance is particularly notorious but any Deluxe chart with multiple Rail or Switch hold swipes will do it 😅

I got dp on deluxe Kill V Maim and Starving (and Crank That but it was an accidental DP during the glitch I had 20 perfs)
Oh, so that's why I was 3 points away to get a DP on Hold Me Closer...

Eventually probably, not sure when I’ll get around to recording it. It’s really annoying to attempt to grind out a recording when time boxed without unlimited play.
I have the believer song from imagine dragons edition deluxe but i can't make it Diamond Perfect i reached the score point 74.992
Mhmm I did the same, the explanation I gave in the video is why. In the case of Believer it’s the double rail hold swipes at ~65,500 that are the culprit.
