God, Our Father, Hear Us Pray - Arr. James C. Kasen

James Kasen is another LDS composer whose arrangements I often use when playing at church. This particular one comes from volume eight of his series "Postludes for Church Services", which I pull from often in selecting pieces for preludes and postludes.
Based on the hymn tune "Mercy", originally composed by Louis M. Gottschalk, we sing this melody now with the text "God, Our Father, Hear Us Pray". It is hymn number 170 in "Hymns of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" (1985).
