That happened to me, I didn’t know that it would respond to boo boo, I was talking to my parrot. It scared the hell out of both of us.

like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, czcams.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

Oscar Lai a lot of people don't talk clear. You can say, OK BOO BOO, OK DO DO, or anything that rhymes with OK GOOGLE.
You can even say "Fucking Google" It works everytime

I found out the routine thing by myself. So my sentence is, "Hey Google, it's about that time". She'll tell me the weather, ask what time I want my alarm to be, and play rain sounds for an hour. I loveeeee it, a glorifired wire tap ftw 💀💀

Watching tik tok and when watching videos with the "ok boomer" trend I realised it triggered google home. Now i have the song stuck in my head and I'm constantly triggering google home unintentionally 😂

The hotword is not a hidden command. That's just a similar sound that the mini looks out for.

My Google mini responded a few times even with the low volume. And I'm perfectly fine with that, it was hilarious!

The ok noodle isnt a built in feature. It just sounds close enough so home thinks you said Google.

You can change the time of the relaxtion (and other sounds.) If you go into the Google home app, you click on that device and fast forward the remaining time to whatever you want. Then you can play for only 10 mins or whatever.

Actually, an easier way to change Google's voice is by voice command "hey, Google, can you change your voice?". As simple as that.

It will offer a man's voice. It won't demonstrate the 8 other voices it has now.
i REALLY wish google would change the assistant name. i hate saying hey google and ok google everytime. it just doesn't sound natural to me and it would much better if it had a name that sounds like a persons name.
ok a real question now.......with that command grouping thing you mentioned, is it possible to say something like "movie time" and have it dim the lights, and start playing a movie or music on netflix or spotify?
I didn't try it on Netflix because I don't have the chromecast, but since Google Home has the ability to execute two commands at once, I think it is possible to do it. I will try it with Spotify though
It definitely is! You can even specify the playlist/album/artist.
Any command that the Google home can do can be added to the tasks with no limit (that I'm aware of)

The only reason I think the other ways of saying "OK Google" work is because it sounds like "OK Google". I don't think it actually is something google wanted to really add.
Another fun command is "okay Google, Srimp. HEAVEN. NOW." the response is halarious

I got a $200 credit from Verizon for taking a 2 year contract. Could only spend on Google products so I bought Google home which I never would of otherwise bought. One thing I like if you think of something you need to buy you can say shopping list and add it. When you go to the store it will read back your shopping list. Really don’t know what I’ll use it for. Have never used Siri.
I have problems pronouncing the word Google and I always use the Ok Noodle 😂😂😂
you can make phone calls, i have android phone and it uses my contact list to call, "hey google call george", another one is ask it to play your favorite radio station, it can also wake you up with a radio station.

Fun fact: google will respond to anything that has 2 syllables and 2 O’s. So you can literally say “ok boomer” or “ok coogoo” and it works
