Picked up my Blue Flame last week for $2k under MSRP. Having an absolute blast in this car! No regrets so far.

I practically live out of my gr corolla. With a 100 mile commute everyday, packing lunches, tools, gym clothes, and weekly beach trips, I feel that I’m qualified to say yes this car is very dailyable with the exception you don’t have kids and aren’t stuck in stop and go traffic. A MT is one thing, but when the car can’t creep below 5mph it makes it a real workout and unnecessary stress on throw out bearing. Great video man!

I might qualify as well as I have enjoyed dallying my Fiesta ST for the last 10 years and have rarely "needed" more room. The ST still puts a smile on my face - but a fast RWD usually puts a bigger smile-:)
I would not have considered replacing the ST till the GRC was announced!!!
After a 26 month wait - I get my GRC Circuit in a few days. (last fall I turned down a couple GRC Core Editions - told them I'll wait for the Circuit👍)

I just picked up my 2024 GRC Premium in Ice Cap White and I paid 2k over MSRP. The GRC is the only car that I have ever been willing to pay over MSRP for(within reason) and I have to say that it was worth every penny and well worth the wait. The car embodies the old WRX STI vibes that I grew up dreaming of owning one day. Thank you Toyota and the guys over in Japan building these things. My advice is if you can afford it, then you should get one before its gone. Truely a masterpiece of a machine.

I have the blue flame and I gotta say I get compliments everywhere I go even from non car enthusiasts. I love everything about this car! From how fuel efficient it is to how much power it has whenever I wanna accelerate but it honestly is best for canyon runs especially at 30/70 with the traction control off! On sports mode

Great car, unfortunately like many 'affordable' sporting hatchbacks they are hard to find and marked up ridiculously at least up here in Canada.

I don't think I know anyone in Canada who's paid over MSRP including myself and the other Circuit owners I know who purchased new. Maybe you've been watchin the US market? if you're serious go to a dealer and you'll get one without markup if you're patient. I picked up my blue one a month and a half ago after 8 months of waiting without any markup.

I was between this exact trim, ND3 Club with BBR pack and GR86 Performance Pack. Drove a GRC Premium, 86 and ND3. Ended up ordering the ND3.
This was an insane car with crazy grip, however the ND3s inputs like really great steering, liveliness and smile factor was off the charts for me. If I didnt have an SUV as my second car and needed one car this would be in my garage.

I have a 1 year old daughter and 2020 miata as my daily, wife had a 2017 civic. Last year was a rough for new car buyers.
GR Corollas had 10-20k markups. Went through numbers with a Toyota dealer for 3 hours in order be able to test drive, quoted me $70k with my miata as a trade in ($60k for the GRC and $10k to pay off loan on my miata (valued my newish miata at only $15k). Drove good but didn't fall in love.
Tried a Acura dealer for the Integra Type S, all presold, selling for $62k.
Couldn't find a new Type R, drove a used $40k 2018 Type R that smelled like cigarettes, loved the seats and the packing but felt more serious than whimsical.
Bought a new NX350 for $4k under MRSP at end of year to replace my wife's civic and as our family car for now.

I heard the weakness to this car is that quite a few owners are overwhelming the clutch and have need for replacement. Also poor fitment for the Circuit in the Wing department. Most already know about overheating of AWD system. This car needs some work in the 2nd gen.

Both are pretty firm for daily driving. I think the Honda rides a little better. It the GR is a total weapon with the AWD and useful if you have weather to deal with.

    Great review 👍
The GR Corolla is a fantastic car and if I could, I would buy couple and hide them in a barn.
These are gems which only will appreciate over the years.
The Honda Type R are overrated and it has those weak, oil burner engines so this Toyota GR Corolla is breath of fresh air with bulletproof driveline. Toyota mastered the reliability on their engines, all wheel drive and manual transmission.

Got my circuit edition for $1,500 under msrp, and a couple dealers were willing to sell at that. I see one more for sale under msrp. Not my fault people cannot negotiate and read the market.
