My guess would be that the gap actually held a vacuum. Heat does not flow through a vacuum, therefore it thermally insulates well. Hydroflasks are the same as thermoses, which have been sold since 1904 and based upon a patent from 1892.

I been thinking of getting me one of these. I have a 46 oz ecovessel which has sadly been discontinued 😒 which I was clumsy during my pregnancy 😩😒 ...... I've had it for 4 years. Still works great lol 🤷♀️ I just wanted to get another because I want. I have a yeti 36 oz 😒 I drink so much water though and filling it up with ice let me tell you takes away them 36 oz 😩 I need me at least another 40 oz. 🙄 decisions lol.
Mayra get a penguin cold! Save some money they make the same exact product as hydro flask just different branding, had mine for over 9 months and it’s great! Also only around 25$ for a 40oz one on amazon!
OK I know you can use a Hydro Faske for anything to drink in but it’s mostly meant for water not for other things and I don’t understand why people put other things in it because Hydro flask made a complaint that our people made a complaint about having mold in their straws and the reason why they had more in their Hydro flask draws is because they need to start learning how to clean them properly
When you get deployed to the middle east the uniits give them to the soldiers, is a live saving flask, if you put ice and cold refreshments the ice will last for 24 hours, he poor hot red bull, overseas they give us RIP IT something similar

I love my hydroflask the paint layers are really thick so when it is cut the paint job doesnt look pretty. Mine has dented a few times but not easily.
