Better than tubeless for bicycle? A must upgrade to win MTB XC race.

Better than tubeless setup for bicycle wheels? TPU inner tube that is actually lighter than tubeless! Is this Cyclami TPU inner tube considered an upgrade from the bicycle wheel tubeless system? Obviously this TPU inner tube is lighter than tubeless setup. For me, it's definitely an upgrade from a tubeless system in terms of weight saving, Besides, I don't have to deal with the mess around the glue and the annually maintenance of glue inside the wheels.
The only downside for tube system setup is that you have to deal with flat and puncture. On the other hand, the tubeless setup it will automatically seals the air leaks. This is the only advantage for tubeless setup. With that being said, I have never had to deal with punctures or flat on trail or road before. With the right tire and puncture protection, I am not so concerned about punctures.

The 5 PSI max is for installation. They actually need to be slightly inflated to be installed correctly. They won't be damaged, if you inflate them further. It just will be impossible to install them.

I pump like 2 or 3 times on the hand pump and then spread the air around the tube. That was enought to install them correctly. Thanks for stopping by!

There's pros and cons with TPU vs standard inner tubes, they don't weigh as much (as seen in the video) they definitely don't take up as much room in storage if you like to carry an extra tube on a ride. There is a difference in rolling resistance and ride quality. TPU tubes can be a pain to patch over a standard tube.
And there's the typical pros and cons when comparing any tube vs tubeless like not being able to run really low tire pressure for off road because of you land hard or run into something which compresses the tire into the rim the rim will pinch the tube and you'll have a snake bite, and since the TPU tube doesn't have sealant (unless you add it in the tube) a hole will end your ride. But you don't have to worry about breaking a bead as you're running a tube.

Thanks for sharing your insight. For average Joe like me, the only advantage tubeless has over this TPU bicycle inner tube is the time saved during a race if I happen to have a punctured hole. Hopefully, glue will seal the hole. For any other kind of workout I dont mind taking my time changing the tube. From my experience, never had a puncture or a flat past 5 years even though i damaged (bent rim) the rim running too low pressure onto the curbs. 😄
