This is awesome. Ngl for NG+ for Kiryu I went Dragon style for most fights and spammed the R1 and Circle counter on most of them 😂

I believe that theme that plays during the fights with lee, nishitani and sera play for those characters because they end up dying later in the story. Sera dies in Kiwami 1. Only exception being the moon club guy who doesn’t die.
It also plays for Kashiwagi who didn't die

This is how i defeated Lao Gui:
Start with the standing Slugger heat action.
While he's down, switch to breaker, do the square square triangle combo until he gets up.
Switch to Sluggger and repeat the process until he goes limp.
I intentionally dropped the combo before beating him for good to see the qtes

@@sseempire8705t's not like the komaki moves are there just there, you need to wait until kiryu's return to kamurocho. Even then, komaki isn't available straight away. The parry is useful but until you get it and get good at using it, you need to focus on upgrading kiryu's tech in order to mitigate the clunkiness of the combat until you can get it. But unless you're fine with grinding the sub-stories like me, most folk will just bum rush through underleveled and under prepared for the yakuza office raid section, then rage and complain when their recklessness gets them their head handed to them over and over again.
Sick, just started playing Yakuza 0 for the first time and I'm on hard mode on Chapter 11, this should be a good reference for the remaining boss fights.

Today I completed the first Kuze fight and I just realised that he can cancel his taunt if you attack him and he'll counter attack you.
41:56 You’re pretty much correct, yet you reap the most benefits in Brawler style where your heat builds up, you do more damage, and heat actions do more damage, plus more I don’t really remember on the skill tree for it and other styles. Using Brawler and the spicy knife while drunk definitely sped up my Mr. Shakedown grind for money in premium adventure.

I think the bit about Sera being a Counter fighter actually makes a lot of sense, that's probably why i have a lot of trouble with him on harder difficulties.

I feel like it’d be cool to have like the item abilities in the legend styles like the quick style switch, finding substories or enemies nearby, or like several of the other cool items bonuses you get and can get from buying them in the legend tree but they’re expensive as hell like 1-2 billion

There are quite a few mods that I think would make the Roblox version of this really fun to watch. The rebalance mod, the DoD destoration mod, and the legend style switch mods (that make it down on the d pad)

I'm pretty sure that Dead Puncher is a copy of Tamashiro's moveset, not Rikiya's. They even do Tamashiro's taunt when entering heat mode. That being said, Yakuza 3 movesets just do not mesh well with 0's slower combat. That fucker G.J with Mine's moveset in the coliseum is like participating in a boxing tournament only for only for your opponent to start using judo, the basis of combat is so different that it's just weird and not fun.
Using 4’s movesets is also a terrible idea because Lucha Hawk and Diabol look clunky as hell
how do you unlock majima's quickstep cancel on the finishing moves? i dont see it on the skill tree and i got all the komaki moves. is it there from the start? :D
figured it out, it's always there but only for the kick off the fourth rush combo hit, before the loopy punches.

Nah, if he took damage, it wouldn't show as "Untouchable" extra points when the fight ends.

The best first fight is either naguno from 6 or kuze from 0, its hard to choose

0:45 I found that put me off the game a bit. It seemed to have quite a steep learning curve initially. Had real problems dealing with the knife guy before I even got to Kuze. Put the game to one side after that, but recently got back into the series with Kiwami 1 and 2 being 'free' with my upgraded PS plus account, so going to go back to 0 now I'm more accustomed to the ins and outs of the series.

Fighting the street grunts is annoying as hell...4 on 1 and they all spam the same attack and knock you on the ground and cancel your attacks with one punch. Super annoying...bosses are easier
