  • We have some amazing diving here in Vancouver and over on Vancouver Island, but there are some very important differences you should know when making the transition from warm water/tropical diving to cold water diving here in Canada.
I've trained so many divers here in Vancouver, and watched so many more try cold water diving after learning somewhere warm; these are some of the main things everyone has questions about has to adjust to when diving in our local waters.

Great video awesome tips! I'd be careful with the sealion comments though it tends to be a sensitive
Topic as it is technically illegal. In my experience it's best to be cautious when posting things about them on CZcams and make sure to not openly encouraging people to interact with them. If your representing a business DFO might take exception to it. However love the energy keep posting and encouraging people to dive!

You are exactly right! There has been a lot of restrictions set in place in recent years with diving and sea lions.
We never encourage anyone to actively go diving with these animals, however I'm sure you have been at some local dive sites where they swing by for an unexpected visit and it is always very special which was more what I was getting at :P
Glad to hear you enjoy the videos! Maybe we'll see you out diving!
