Luton Town will forever be grateful for the fact that Gary Sweet and the board took over this club when they did. The club were on the verge of being killed off by our administrative problems and the 30 points deduction which greeted the beginning of this boards reign. But these people are supporters first, have good business brains and good football brains. I look at the situation at Bolton and Coventry and other clubs, and think, thank God we had these kind of people waiting in the wings to take over the club at our darkest hour and rebuild us into the team that now sits one match away from Champions of League One 2018-19. We are the BEST TEAM IN THIS LEAGUE...

Totally agree - where else would a crowd have stood and applauded their own board as an organised appreciation, made me so proud. - having a board made up of fans is just the best. I was a guest of the board in 2012 at a losing game at Forest Green Rovers, after the game outside the stadium, Gary called me over as I passed by, to chat about the plans for the future, he mentioned that he was excited about this new lower division player we were signing that day - young lad called Andre Gray...
You could hear his dedication and belief then - and now the results are showing - and as Gary says, "I have a dream of the Champions league - not the Championship".
The vision for Power Court and the boldness of going for Newlands Park, partly as a way of funding Power Court - these are moves that deserve the sort of wild applause fans show at getting promoted - the planning decisions are life changers for the entire population of Luton.
      Who is my Luton hero?
I used to say it was Malcolm Macdonald, - then Mick Harford... now I say it is Gary Sweet, - embarrassed though he may be about that.

@@patrickgraham6786 I'm a bit too young to remember Graham French. Certainly remember John Aston coming from Man. Utd... and Vic Hallom... and later Lil Fucillo, Ricky Hill, and the Futcher brothers. Alan Brown and Harry Haslam... too many stars over the years to do them all justice. The thing is, I listen to Gary Sweets words and know they aren't just the usual empty promises that some directors make when it comes to selling season tickets... if he says Champions League then one day we will be in the Champions League... and he is right, the support for this club does go far and wide.

A very sound decision to appoint Graeme Jones as manger, along with not rushing to find new manager when Nathan Left.

I think if we keep most of this squad together i just see the momentum continuing. Most of them are still quite young so they are growing together and that bond can be lethal. Some richer teams out there try to buy that kind of bond but often fail. My verdict? Instead of spending too much on new players, spend it on the ones we've got by giving them improved contracts - might help keep them?

Gary you nearly come unstuck, introducing Graeme Jones before the end of season, its seemed to coincide with a bad run and could have affected the players, well done Mick Harford for bringing them back from the brink.

Taking a risk on an unproven manager in League 2 is a completely different matter to taking one in the Championship.

taking on experienced managers in the championship is an intriguing subject in itself...so many disasters, would you want Steve McLaren or Steve Bruce? I know I wouldn't.
