- In this video, I'm going to share with you all the things that I hate about my 2004 STi. These things might not seem that bad at first, but after watching this video you'll see just how much I really dislike my car!

For sure, its an old video and I wasn't mastering correctly; now I master at -5 LKFS with no background audio!
Couple three or more things (:)):
- Great looking car!
- The rear windows not going down all the way are apparently a child safety thing.
- Totally agree with the cup holders, my kids have jammed my upper one into the dash. :(
- Your side skirts and the body are in great shape compared to mine.
- The side skirt clips on mine are missing except for one on each side, during the winter, sometimes the skirts will detach.
Possibly more but again your car car is show car quality compared to mine. :)\
I may post some video to give you a comparison.
The only thing my car has is that the previous owner did a complete EJ207V9 engine and turbo swap.

it started life as a 2004 WRX but the previous owner then swapped in a complete 2006 STi transmission, drivetrain, diffs, etc and then added a 2007 JDM EJ207V9 engine with a twin scroll turbo. That last mod ( assuming you like revs ) is addictive, it is a 2.0L that red lines @ 8200 RPM. Always puts a smile on my face. :)
It was dyno'd by the previous owner @ 380 - 400 HP.
Hoping to repair all the body work this year if time permits.

I always thought the rear windows wouldn't go all the way down because of the wheel wells. I have an 04 that I bought new and still daily. So I agree with you about most all your concerns. But I remind myself. Issa 04

Ryan Almeida it was mine too. Got a 2005 sti. Had it for 3 years and sold it. To much keep up, and the engine is a ticking time bomb lol

SlyGamingHD I believe that the euro market cars had some things that we never got over here! People will import them from overseas every once in a while!
yeah I have the same one (a 2004) european model. we didn't get a 2.5 in 2004. we have 2.0 over here. also our lowest octane at gas stations is 95, we need to put 98 plus in the subarus over here. you can get 102 octane but that is really pricy
js lo yh its also hard to find u need to go to a race track with a licenced seller to get it
Was it an ej205 or the ej207 in it? Damn the highest we can get it 94 and it is 10% ethanol, not pure gas. I believe the rating is different though, your 102 is like our 94 because your octane rating is in RON.
SlyGamingHD the 102? yeah I only know of two stations that sell it, and one of them is a 2 hour drive to the nurburgring

They are the stock ones, but they have been taken apart and modified!

91 is shit. We have 99 at the pump in the uk. My Subaru is mapped to run only 99
I belive we use a different rating system here in Canada vs the uk

@@Chase_Schrader i want a subaru so badly man, but by the time im old enough to drive ( 2-3 years ) i dont think there will be any subarus left or there will be some law prohibiting gas cars :(
@@JapaneseSoomi Oh, there will be plenty of Subarus left, they are always on the market or at least where I live. The law I can't really say but motorsports aren't going anywhere soon though.

Ok first of all get yourself an air oil separator and then second the rings aren't the problem it's the ring lands
Old video haha, put one in and got it tuned on a more recent video and I was just using rings as slang for ring lands

And you should have got a 2005 sti not 2004 the slight differences are worth it
What would those differences be? I wanted the 04 for the interior and lack of plastic on the rear quarters. Also its pretty cool being the first STi in the USDM market.
Yes it is but the 05 is slightly different for the better now the engine and trans are the same but some of the interior bits are different such as the emergency brake is closer to the driver moved slightly from right center to left center of car and instead of one cup holder by emergency brake and another on top of radio they both are in the center by emergency brake the 04 has 5x100 bolt pattern for the wheels and the 05 has the better 5x114.3 bolt pattern for the wheels to add strength and the 04 has the suretrac limited slip front on it which the 05 has the helical front limited slip which adds as the car turns into corners and is just a whole lot better than the suretrac so those are some changes from the 2004 to 2005
