    You are the first person I have seen that has a definitive explanation on how to tell if stones are real. I have been buying from an online source and am discovering that almost every seller is selling counterfeit gemstone beads. Most obvious are those that don't even know the definition of tge false description in their own listing. For instance one seller listed jade as "Rubys Chalcedony" jade which means to me its not real.

    Hello Karen! Just discovered your channel and am overjoyed! You are so wonderfully knowledgeable on this subject.
    Can you do a "Real or Fake" video on Green Jade. It is my favorite and I recently found a supply of good green "Natural" jade.
    I have tested it with alcohol and soap and water, and so far no color removal.
    Is there anything else I can look for? I would hate to misrepresent my jewelry to my local clients.
    Thank you and I look forward to your videos!!

    • @KarenHuiCrystals
      @KarenHuiCrystals  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, green jade is color enhanced with heat-treated in the raw stone formation, so no matter how much alcohol and soap you use to test them, the color won't be removed. For jade, unless it's fake like glass or plastic, or color dyed with finished products that can be easily spotted with eyes, you need to do a gem test for other treatments.

    I am absolutely a,Azzeddine that aquamarine can be in those other forms, with cat eye effect and especially the star effect!!! I never knew this. It is my absolute favorite stone for jewelry. I’ve been looking for a very clear, pale green blue stone in a ring, for all my life. Not that I have the money to shop much but I always keep my eye out for what I think is the fervent stone for me. Can they be very clear and on greenish side like I am saying?
