This skate was the first time I saw him, and what made me fall in love with his skating. He is a marvel here. Especially in the final dance sequence where his joy just bubbles over up to that final spin. I think he should have own the gold for this performance... Bravo Stephane!!!!!
@@jeannelucas3132 Remember the jumps weren't worth as much back in 2006 as they are now. So if Stephane's programs had been clean without the bobbles, he would have won.
What an unique costume! But his elegance and energy moves us deeply. NO other skater is like him. Stephan is my best. It's a pity we can't watch him at any competition.
His FS is actually better than I remembered, watching it again now after all these years. I forgot what a great performer Stephane is; he's got it all -- great jumps, choreography, & of course his "stereotypically perfect Swiss spinning ability," lol. He deserved to be on the podium in Torino, for sure. Well done, Stephane!! :D One more thing: I'm SOOOO THANKFUL that the commentators didn't "blah-blah-blah-blahhhhhhhh" through his entire performance like some skating commentators tend to do, like effing NBC. It's like: Gawd, STFU already, please, thank you. Seriously, go watch the video of Plushenko's Torino FS with the NBC commentators. Uggghhh. NBC's not the only one who does this though, of course... :/
@Selfish170 What song? This is music from Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'. And it has nothing to do with James Blunt. You must have confused this with another Stephane's program and another video.
@Treebard Me too. This performance wasn't his best even but such amazing program and artistry so young, he became my favorite skater ever during the first two minutes, I will never forget it.
@ririgirl777 Yes, I actually know, however hard it is to believe now :). I had been reading a lot about Stravinsky before that, and probably that's why this silly mistake.
great & rare combination of technical abilities and artristry !!! Wonderful skater!!!
True artist on the ice !
I love Stephan!!!
Катание такое же прекрасное, как и музыка Браво♥️

Not with those jumps.

ランビエールは最高で、宇野さんのコーチしています。立派です。

この曲は平昌の宇野昌麿選手のSP。なんとも縁なんだなーと思いました。
そしてゼブラ衣装w.
Unique figure skater!
この衣装は、何か違和感が。演技はキレッキレ❗️
ci sono le campane svizzere :-))
@ririgirl777 Anyway, thank you for your correction. I wrote it right now. No need to misinform people.

Oh he was doing wonderful up until he stumbled there. I think if he had landed that jump perfectly...he would've gotten the gold.
