    How come no one taught this in school. Thanks to CZcams Revolution, or else we would have been in dreaming in our dreams

    Great explanation of the wheel dynamics, thanks. Most people would never appreciate the simple yet clever design.
    Personally, I don’t like the computer generated voice narration.

      Well I feel plenty of great content made from people who speak English as a second language so it works better to use ai voice and paying for a voice over narration can be spendy

    Is there any rotation occurs between the coach & boggie when it crosses a curve?? Or it only depends on the conical shapes wheels?
    Can you please give me any suggestive video of your channel to understand it better

    • @SaiPlayz16253
      @SaiPlayz16253 Před 3 měsíci

      Yep, it does happen, the coaches ain’t flexible and there are hinges between the bogies and coaches to allow free turning, but they tend to somehow always be straight unless on a turn (im thinking about springs in the hinges or smth) idk how they do that but probs springs or smth
      Edit: I think maybe the front wheels are slightly faster?

    You forgot that the Rails are installed leaning inward, adding to the equation of keeping the train on track.
    My question is : Did early train Tracks (like the Old West) have this inward tilt ? Indeed, did early train Wheels have the angles described in your video ? I haven't been able to find out.
    My guess would be that both evolved at about the same time, after decades of replacing wheels and tracks more often than necessary.

    Railway wheels have a recess inside. Therefore, both wheels are held on the rails. Look at normal photos of wheels on the Internet.

    This video is misleading. On straight tracks, the conical wheelset will derail with velocity increasing. However, the cylindrical wheelset will stay on the track forever, with velocity increasing to infinite.

    This doest make sense, cos train wheels are not cone shaped, but flat, with a flange, and it looks like this flange is what helps it keep aligned

      The train runs on the track not only for the wheel but track, wheel, and forces are also the main parts when all these theories failed, the wheel derails from the track watch more videos to clear your doubt.

      @Vsmeti Před rokem

      Main causes for train derailments are
      1) Worn out/Broken Wheels
      2)Worn-out /Broken Tracks.
      3) Failure/Breakage in Suspension and under Bogie parts.
