#pentatnoix #gold #tour - ZĂĄbava
This is masterpiece what they did. Please watch original. Mitch is doing everything with his voice and Kiiara has to use digital effects to achieve what Mitch does easily.
Agreed!
they should react to pentatonix bohemian rhapsody its really good if theyre queen fan or not (?)
I agree with this comment TOTALLY. I don't even like the original of this song, but it's one of my PTX favorites! đ
Pentatonix has promised that if you can see the microphones, you are listening to a one take. This may not be the first take but it is a one take.
Gold is SUCH a flex. The timing, the intonation, Avi and KO, and dear God, MITCH! Great selection guys.
The list of people at the end are their patrons who helped them from the beginning. They always thank them.
Evolutions of Michael Jackson, Rhiannon, and Ariana Grande to name a few are all good if you like the couch!
There is another Avi/Kevin duet in the middle of their cover of Cheerleader. Have fun with that one.
If you want to see Mitchâs skill with his solo, listen to the first 30 sec. of Kiiara singing this song. She uses synthesizers to get the same effect Mitch is getting just with his voice. Amazing.
Yes, and she does it in four takes to get the vocal gymnastics in. đđ
This song (Gold) can't truly be appreciated unless you've heard the original. The four octave slide up and down that Mitch does was all electronic in the original version by Kiiara (not to diss her b/c that's her style). Their live takes are always incredible to watch.
This is a 10 out of 10. And is good as this is, they have now gone to higher heights. You need to hear their latest "I Just Called To say I Love You." Their harmonies have evolved so much from this it will blow you away!!!
Stop struggling with skepticism, surrender to the diligence and genius. Why deprive yourself that joy, who will think less of you?
There is a video of their original song "Can't Sleep Love" that shows what each one is doing all the way through the song...just search ptx can't sleep love interactive and you can see what each of them are doing.
Gold is like hanging out in the basement with your best friends with insane talent, this is really the best way to see each of their individual participation, done in a simple non distracting way, so itâs simple, raw and brilliantly done. Itâs Been A Long, Long Time showcases the beautiful harmonies and an early view into a classic Pentatonix Christmas song, but I love the message of them missing performing for the Pentaholics. Great reaction guys, once again. Please donât forget Wizard of Ahhhs, you will be blown away by the creativity and production in this, mini movie, a banger in my opinion â€ïž
Mitch is absolute insanity on this. He did what the original artist couldnât- sing it in one take without effects. đ„
I think their song "Sing" is possibly one of the most upbeat, positive, get you in a good mood songs ever made. They're just amazing, full stop.
"Couch videos" are a staple of PTX. They harken back to their earliest days, before they got a recording contract. I love them to bits, because (as you mentioned), you can see exactly what everyone is doing to contribute to the arrangement, and these one-take masterpieces show how truly talented they are individually and as a collective. I also recommend their Evolution of Michael Jackson... pitch and timing are superb, and the transitions are seamless. Great reactions, as always!
@Kaye Castleman
Thank you for the comment and all the information.
We still have so much to discover from PTX, which is great for us and the evolutions sounds like great fun.
We will be back with more soon.
Thanks for watching
back to their earliest days after they WON the Sing-Off but was dropped after a week by the label that was supposed to give them a contract for winning...they came crawling back to PTX about 18 months later
Awesome reaction! I love watching the both of you being gobsmacked!! Please do their cover of "Imagine" next. Then please do their cover of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight". These 2 are better than the originals in my opinion. I know you said you wouldn't touch "Bohemian Rhapsody" yet but I believe it's time!! You are going to be so blown away.
White winter hymnal. No idea why it's considered a holiday song but I still love it! Be sure to note the words!
They are the epitome of the American success story... đđđđđ
Lol... I love your NASA theory... this arrangement is simple for them but it allows us to see and hear what each one is doing. The original is using a lot of samples to create the chorus and thatâs what they are replicating in the last chorus by singing one or two words each, bouncing off each other. Great reaction. đ€
There video for "Cheerleader" has a great example of the singers isolated and singing in a round.
â„ Great reaction! Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is the place to start unboxing their Christmas music. It's so good, it earned them a Grammy.
Great reaction guys. Although it is impressive to see how Mitch handled the lead vocals compared to Kiiara's computer manipulated vocals, you're not missing much. Since you enjoyed being able to see who's singing what in this live setting, I highly recommend Evolution of Ariana Grande and/or Evolution of Rihanna. Both are recorded live and in my opinion their best Evolution videos. And I'm not even a fan of either artist. They're that good! Can't wait to see more PTX reactions.
fun fact: Pentatonix is the official sponsor of NASA ... good day mates ... always enjoy your reactions ..
So glad you did these two. A few things: 1. Now that you've heard their Gold cover, I think you'll prefer this over the original. 2. The "Thank You's" at the end of their videos are their Patreon's. 3. They usually tour about 9 months out of the year, but because of the pandemic, they haven't been on tour for about a year and a half, so they are really looking forward to it. And so are we Pentaholics! Great reaction, again. Thank you both for continuing this journey.
Another truly live one they have done is "Silent Night" its in a church and no mics. Truly live! Great reaction!
They released the first full length from the Christmas album last week, their cover of Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You". It's, as always, wonderful.
At last! Love PTX your reactions. Five great voices blending so well together. Yes, they are brilliant as an a Capella band. Theee best! Try reacting to âLove Againâ for one of their early Bangin originals. đ
@Faith Reasons
We do get there eventually and you know we only do a few videos a week and try and get some other interesting ones out there too.
Glad you enjoyed it and we always enjoy going back to PTX
More coming soon!
The names scrolling at the end are their Patreons.
I have tickets for the Louisville, KY tour date. I have not been this excited in years. I don't care what they sing, just sing. They are truly ear candy.
One of my favorite PTX songs, along with Hallelujah, Mary Did You Know, and White Winter Hymnal, and of course Daft Punk and Love Again, and Run To You. I'm sure there are a few others, but I really loved how they did this one and never heard the original by Kiara nor do I intend to.
@Deb Houck's Crafty Cottage
You listed quite a few favourites in there, we are having great fun discovering all the sings that PTX have done and they always surprise us.
Nope we have not heard the original and probably wont either.
Thanks for the comment
Finally! Been waiting. "All those other people" are their Patreons - they are thanked each time.
Oh yes!!! Please unrap as many as posible as soon as you are in the right christmas spirit đ đđ
đ On the new album announcement, few other groups could take a 50's love song & make it sound good.
You would like Silent Night ( no mics) just standing together in an entrance of a Church
Aw, you gave them a 10! †If you give Kiiara's original a go, check out the amount of computer effects that were needed in the chorus that Mitch did with pure vocal đ
And yay for Christmas stuff coming. Sadly, PTX only tour in the US with their Christmas tours, and their (delayed) world tour is sold out in Manchester and London( the only two UK venues they perform at... nobody comes to Wales đ).
This one is one of my favourites though. I love the stripped back stuff. Now I'm wondering which Christmas song you might potentially react to first...'12 days of Christmas' is super fun and ridiculously catchy, which is odd as '12 days' is probably one of my least favourite Xmas tunes. đ They did a collab with Tori Kelly that is smooooth as butter (Walking in a Winter Wonderland). Then there's 'Mary, did you know?', 'Little Drummer Boy', and 'Carol of the Bells' ( one of their earliest songs and one of my faves).
Honestly though, I don't care where you go, you'll enjoy it, and I'll enjoy WATCHING you enjoy it!
Ugh, I wrote an essay.
Itâs a good essay A++ đ€
@@caroleceres ha! Thanks!đ
Gold is my absolute favorite! I wasnât familiar with the original, but checked it out after I heard this - there is no comparison. PTX killed it - I agree, canât even describe it! Thank you!
If you guys start on Christmas I would say their Grammy winning Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy should be first! And, they've had their own Christmas specials so there is a lot live!
@Megan Delynn
OK, it's on the Christmas list!
Thanks for watching
Their Sugar Plum Fairy is amazing! đ
Please react to Pentatonix singing âHavanaâ
Imagine, Say Something
Just watching your guises faces is amusement for me enough in your disbelief with their voices
The original is a heavy techno. Uses lots of electronics to do what Mitch does by pure vocals. Itâs so crazy. They are next level
Or they are aliens. Thank you for this reaction. Many of us are so so thrilled that they can finally tour again!!!!!
Evolution of Rihanna and Evolution of Ariana Grande are both âcouch coversâ as well and theyâre just insanely good
I would concur.. sending gold out to potential aliens brilliant! Also, when i first saw this one, I watched it 5 times (at least) back to back to watch each member individually cause itâs so awesome.
Great song!Talented guys, well done!Thanks friends, great reaction!đđđ·đș
Avi's bass, oh my I miss that. Love Avi, and miss him with the group.
My favorite thing when it comes to Pentatonix reaction videos is to watch peopleâs reactions to these videos where theyâre all sitting down and you can see what theyâre doing individually. Love the reaction!
I donât know whatâs coming next por Pentatonix but Iâm going to suggest an original of theirs that is one of my favorites just in case you want to check it out.
Itâs Light in the Hallway, but a live version. When they perform it live they do it without microphones and the audience has to be very quiet. Itâs magical. There are a few videos of them performing it live, any will do.
If you want to hear the base and beatboxer have a little of their own...check their "New Rules...". As we get close to Xmas, react to "Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". Also, I'm still awaiting your reaction to the classic "Bohemian Rhapsody".
BTW, the millions of Pentaholics around the world do think they are ALIENS !!
@Nick Roberts
Thank you for the comments and we are getting our Christmas list worked out.
Also back very soon with more from PTX.
Thanks for watching, nanu nanu
The names at the end are their top tier patreons.
If you knew anything about the original, this would be even more amazing. The original requires computers for the vocal effects that Mitch does with ease.
Those other people at the end that you mentioned are Pentatonix patrons.
This is a really fine example of what PTX are able to do. Mitch Grassi's vocal control is just amazing, and the group's timing and coordination are fantastic. The back and forth between Grassi, Maldonado and Hoying towards the end took me a bit to figure out because it is so fast and seamless.
The original song is a little pop tune - while this is a masterpiece. How strange... I always wish they would go for original songs like that. But in the meantime I'm quite content with pieces like this one or "Come Along" more recently. Let's see, what "Evergreen" will bring.
Great reaction! Love this rendition! If you are going to react to PTX Christmas, please react to, 'O Come All Ye Faithful'! This is how this song should be sung! PTX has a way of putting their own spin on a song to make it different yet satisfyingly classic! Looking forward to more PTX and their Christmas!
Yep, You picked a great video to playâŠ..Judy D
One of my favourite PTX performances! It's just perfect. Did you listen to Voiceplay yet? It's another great acapella group and they have some great new material. Please react to their Hoist the colours, it will rock your world!
@Moni Sava
Hello and thank you for the comment.
We have not heard of these, so we will have to check them out.
Thanks for watching
I havenât read all of the comments here, but just in case none of my fellow Pentaholics have said it - one of the things that drew their fan base so quickly, was the ability to see them do what they do!
So in their early days, you see exactly that! The best way to feast on it is via their âEvolution Ofâ music videos. Just put âPentatonix Evolution Ofâ in the search engine and take your pic.
The first one that they ever did was The Evolution of Music, which is impressive, but theyâve done many pop ones from Michael Jackson to Ariana Grande.
In the Rihanna one, you will need an oxygen tank, because you will feel the need to take copious amounts of air on Kevinâs behalf! I donât know when he has time to breathe!!!
@CarĂŽle Ceres
Hello and thank you for the comment, yes we keep meaning to get to the Evolution of's but something always pops up.
We will try and make time for them soon as we have heard a lot about them and look forward to hearing them too.
Thanks for popping in.
Recommend their early release from their Evergreen album of I Just Called To Say I Love You.
A couple other different songs from them are Come Along and White Winter Hymnal.
Thanks for this reaction. It does show what each person contributes to the song. They are so talented!
You need to react to the Sing-Off Season 3. Youâll see how they grew through each week.
YESSS I'm so glad you did this one! It's so underrated, gets skipped or missed by so many reactors, but honestly I agree, put this in a rocket and have it stand as one of the great examples of human achievement! It's so superb! For Christmas songs, PLEASE do Little Drummer Boy, and here's why: it's one of the few songs where you get to hear multiple harmony duets between various members. It also has a killer drum and bass line! Thanks for this, so much!
You need to react to their "Evolution of ..." videos and their Home EP.. Love your reactions.
Can I recommend PTX's cover of Seals 'Kiss from a rose'. It's... just brilliant. The song was originally heard in the film 'Never Ending Story 3' and more recently in one of the Batman films.
@joosyjulie
Thank you for the suggestion.
We have done a reaction to Kiss from a Rose, it was released just before Christmas and will be on our PTX playlist.
We loved it.
All the best
Always an upgrade...!
YOU DIDNâT SAY YOU WERE DOING PENTATONIX . I would have stayed on the channel if Iâd known. Iâm so glad you enjoyed Gold. I canât wait until you see the Bohemian Rhapsody video. Great reaction. Thank you so much for sharing this video xxxxxx
@Elaine Howard
Well, we like to keep you guessing and keep some surprises for you.
Hope you enjoyed it and thank for all your support.
If you really want to see Avi and Kevin play off each other I'd suggest the 7th performance on the Sing Off. They did Born to be Wild and showed early on where Pentatonix was headed.
Watch the Kiara original song for a bit. It is interesting. However, what Mitch is doing is very difficult and amazing. His vocal acrobatics are god like.
Thank you for reacting to these Pentatonix videos. The "Gold" performance was live-streamed. They are amazing live. The album and tour video was very touching to me. They missed us as much as we missed them. It was a very cool way to make the announcements.
Definitely necessary to watch the original to appreciate how spectacular this really is. I donât like the original and I love this one.
Beautiful!
Thanks. Always enjoy your reactions
This is what CERTAIN humans can do :)
Great reaction! Thank you âșïž
Brilliant!
I heard them live for that your. They sound the same as they do in the videos!
well done fella's, what a great job. (no wonder why I like your presentations. Might have to stick with you for a while longer ,LOL>) keep up the good work, LOVE IT>
SO much better than the original!
At the end of each video (for many years now) they always thank all the patrons from their patreon, since that $ adds up & helps a lot with the cost of making the videos for everyone to enjoy. That's why that list is pretty long. đ
@Tamara Smith
đ đYup, we found after they were patrons, I thought they worked on the video!!
Thanks for the comment
Sooooo glad this made you think of Christmas đcool tune and we'll deserved score . đŻđđ¶
You should really hear Kiara's version of this song, hers is very synthesized...nothing like the PDX version! If you heard her version you would hear the difference, PTX kills it!l
Great reaction guys. It's fun watching others appreciate there brilliance. Suggest Evolution of Rhianna also. Live on a couch, too.
Comment #2...Please please please do their "New Rules x Are You That Somebody next!!!
You will be totally blown away by Matt and Kevin...they really outdo themselves and you will be gobsmacked!! I promise you will not be sorry. This is the song you will want NASA to put out there. I can't say enough about it. Just please give a consideration đ.
@Michelle Cooper
Okeydokey, we will get onto that one next.
We won't get to record anything until the end of the week and the ones we already have recorded will be coming out, so it may seem to take a while to get to it, but hang in there.
Thanks for the comments
@@BritPopsReact Thank you! Love everything you guys do!
This cover is literally 1000 times better than the original. Kiiara can't even sing her own song without electronic enhancements and editing.
Much better than the original, in my opinion.
The names that scroll after each song are, as I understand it, all patreons, not production crew.
Correct đđ»đ
I loved everything about this reaction, guys! Gold is a fantastic song for sure. Long, Long Time is what was called a Torch Song from WWII. I grew up in the fifties listening to my parents records of this type, and I would pay any amount of money for a PTX album full of them! đđđ
Enjoyed your reactions. Thank you.
Always enjoy your reactions.
If you want more of them singing live on a couch, check out their Evolution videos.
That was good guys, although I'm not overly keen on beatbox type music, I always get a vision of 'The Flying Pickets' version of Only You, if you don't remember them it's probably best you don't look them up haha, maybe I'm just being a bit bah humbug (it's nearly Christmas :) )
@Lord Lockdowns Jukebox
LOL, yup we fully know Flying Pickets, they looked like they should have come to tarmac your drive!
Hope you enjoyed this style of acappella and we will be back with more from them.
All the names up there are their patreons
@Lauraine Booth
Thank you for that, I must have missed the bit, I thought they all worked on the video!!
Thanks for watching
Please can you react to James Arthurâs new song called Emilyđ
Great reaction. Can you do Making Christmas by PTX before Halloween? đđđ
@Richard Wilson
We will try our best.
Thanks for the suggestion and for popping in!!

PLEASE CHECK AND REACT MORISETTE AMON LIVESTREAMING SANG""NO MORE TEARS""
Hello Sir. please react again moresitte Amon videos heart midley and I want to know what love is.please
They are genuinely talented. Not my cup of tea, Chuey is whimpering in the corner. BUT, I admit this group is very talented. I will give Chuey a big dose of Anthrax to ease his discomfort after this video. He'll live! B1 is right, this would be a good example of human sounds. I'll sign that petition! Um..you know I'm going to find you some metal Christmas songs. Slayer perhaps.....
@Chuey's Mama
Yeah, we didn't think this would be your cup's of tea but, hey they have lots of talent.
OK, let's see what you guys have on your Christmas song list and we will start getting something together, as long as it's not Slade!!
Pentatonix are great! Sadly, my musical heart belongs to the greatest male voice of this generation: Felix Irwan. Check out his cover of Adele's When We Were Young: czcams.com/video/LlcqsFOIRmc/video.html
Kiara can't even sing this song live. It's all effects in her version that Mitch just...does himself.
you guys should just listen to the original just for your own purposes i dont want to hear it on an episode but do it just you know this was actually 15/10 because you won't recognize it tbh! the original is just awful lol
