- In this episode of Vault Log I'll take you on a quick tour of my end-game vault. Along the way I'll mention some tips for building an efficient and safe vault. My vault is by no means perfect, but it should serve as a decent example of an end-game vault. ;)

PSA - Mole rats only spawn in rooms touching dirt (unless it's from rushing a room). So if you put elevators on the very outside of your rooms, you shouldn't have a problem with randomly spawning mole rats.

@@MrButtercup Put elevators on the extreme left and right of your base and build inwards. You can fit a 3-2-3 on every floor after the first.

Imagine exploring a vault like this is fallout 4, would the coolest thing ever!
i also have the uninhabited rooms (storage and living quarters) lumped together and have space between that and the other rooms. it's actually extremely useful, because you don't have to care too much about fires, molerats and RAD-roaches. just let them spread there and wait until it's over. the divide beween the inhabited and unhabited rooms ensures that these disasters cannot spread to my people (the don't 'travel' by elevators). only the scorpions jump randomly from room to room, so you just have to wait until they reach an inhabited room and kill them there. these way i barely have to move my dwellers at all.
another sugestion is to surround the rooms (or actually whole sections with these rooms), where you want as little incidents as possible completely with elevators. this at least prevents molerats from spawning in these rooms, since they need rooms, that are next to the soil in the ground. this is esp. useful for endurance-training-rooms, since you don't wan't your 'perfect-HP-guys' to 'accidentally level up' by taking care of the disasters, before they reach endurance 10.
I'm glad I found this I was worried I messed up by walling off uninhabited rooms with elevators 😅

How about a video on what to do before reaching a certain population :)
I'm at 60 population and grow about a dozen at a time. I don't see much changing up to 200.
The only advice I can offer you is don't build/expand too fast, try and have at least 1 dweller in every room, random radroach infestations get annoying when they spread.
Keep in mind every time you upgrade a room the enemies will get stronger. So don’t upgrade anything until you gather a lot of strong weapons! 👍🏼
And train your dwellers to full stats and then let them make babies after they trained to the max.
Maxed out stats parents have a good chance of making a rare/legendary stat baby 👍🏼
Try to train your dwellers as much as you can before upgrading anything.
The big tip would be progress SLOWLY to achieve great results smoothly 👌🏼

What a beautiful vault
On the top level, if you put your Overseer's office at the right side with no elevator, you'll get double defense time out of your top production facility. Nothing ever spawns in there, so it's okay that it's touching dirt. You can pad it with an elevator to nowhere on one side if you want to protect the room underneath.
Suggestion for the next vídeo : Guide of mr handy ( how to earn, sending them to the wastland and another tips ) send a hi for Brazil :D

I love the outro.
My top section is for production, , mid is training, third is storage/living quarters , between each section I put empty lines with only elevators,, so I can just let my storage/living quarters be attacked or have fire and dont give a damn since it will stop once it reaches the empty line.

All my storagerooms are at the bottom of the vault with no dwellers and separate from the rest of the vault (except the 2 lifts) all fires and molerat attacks there die out w/o me having to waste time on them.
Also my 2 lifts are positioned at the far right/left sides of the vault with the medium room in the middle. I want all traffic through my vault to be more predictable so i can plan intercepts faster/better.

Themes just change the visual appearance of certain rooms. It would be great to see theme support expanded to all room types. :]

Hi, I made my power rooms only 2 long, will this be a problem for power in the long run?
How long did it take for you to get that far and what do you do if you already have different buildings scattered around the fault because mine is messy and I want to fix it

How do you move everything around to redesign your layout? At the beginning every building goes wherever you have space, so how are you supposed to create a design layout?

I do not know how to get into scraping weapons and clothing items. Where do you click for that?

Is there a limited amount of how much people you can have in your vault?
If there is, how much people can you put in there?
Arem Salaatin You can only have a maximum amount of 200 dwellers in your vault
Vault-Tec rules limit Vault capacity up to 200 dwellers.
I know this video is two years old but, at some point do you need to totally redo the first few levels? because my vault at the moment is all over the place and I’m scared to destroy rooms.
If you have the caps, don't worry about destroying. Do it! Makes it easier for better organization.
do you think 7 3-wide super reactors and 4 2-wide super reactors will make the bar low enough for a vault that's filled completely on 21 floors?
U only need 1 stimpack and radway room with workers the rest just to increase max storage

Heavy endurance comes from wasteland gear(outfit). I’m pretty sure there’s three different types of wasteland gear with add from 3 to 5 to 7.
You can get blueprints from dead raiders from attacks or mostly from quests

When should I start to destroy rooms and replace them with the rooms that I unlocked later? Do I wait until I have a lot of caps?

I'm aware of the fact that Dan has an advanced vault. I have been following this series for a while now, thus my vault is also near end. Here is a suggestion for new-vaults.
Vault door upgrade: If you have a small vault and your production rooms are on top levels of your vault, it is the logical thing to upgrade your door and move your mr, handy's to lower levels of your vault to get them away from harms way. Maximum door will give you some time to properly adjust your dwellers and mr, handys.
In time though, as I did for other vaults, I skipped upgrading door since Raider and Deathclaw attacks are more common than ever and It gets boring to see them struggling to get through a maxed door.
That's a great suggestion Ferhat! I wish there was a way to downgrade the door. ;)
It’s most convenient on mobile because it’s basically made for it
please do one about radiation and how to best get rid of it in your base or prevent it in the first place
rainbowdasher radiation will get caused by a lack of water. Personally, to maintain the water situation I will try to minimize the amount of settlers I have until people who work in water areas are max level ( max perception) and the rooms are maxed out so that way the settlers can be as efficient as possible. I hope this helps!:)

Im playing this on IPad. How do you get all rooms to be doubles and triples? I've been playing for a week and because my rooms are all spread out, I can't seem to move them around to connect them to each other to tidy it all up. I can't sell a room because it says they have 2 other rooms connected to them. Should I start again with a new vault?

I got pretty lucky in fallout shelter at the beginning. I pulled 2 rare characters, t-51d power armor and an amplified plasma rifle
The Rainbow Spike same, my first vault got extremely lucky. The vault I have now is amazing, but the loot I get from lunch boxes is not worth dirt.
Wow the only stuff I got was a rare dweller and the vengeance from a lunch box
Personally I dont like having empty rooms because if an accident happens you cant fix it before it spreads

My vault runs on 107 power production/ 70 power consumption 80 food/water production/ 60 food/water consumption and i habe 105/106 dwellers.

Welp I’ve already mess up my vault...
For starting players, 3 wide rooms will get crushed by radscorpians. A radscorpian's health is dictated by room size and level. A radscorpian can take up to 50 percent of your energy. 2 unanswered.back to back radscorpian attacks can destroy a vault. I recommend all room be 1 size wide at lowest level unless you are forced to have larger upgraded rooms such as crafting. All storage rooms should be next to a room with dwellers to respond immediately. This video also does not cover molerat prevention which is an easy must. Your goal as a player is to build a vault that can be left running and you only need to respond to incidents as they arise. having all max level dwellers may allow you to have 3 wide rooms, but at the start this is bad design.
Sean Foreman at this point, elevators and small rooms are definitively not needed. Even if the radscorpions are at max health, they will be completely wiped by level 50 dwellers, which all seem to be equipped with dragon maw’s and vengeance Gatling lasers. The worst thing though is his terrible layout for his storage rooms. I myself have at least one dweller in medium sized storage rooms and at least 3 in large sized storage rooms. I’m not really at end game, but most of my dwellers are equipped with rare weapons, usually laser rifles, double barrels up to flames and gauss rifles, some railway rifles aswell. But as the mechanic for weapon damage repeats itself to take the threats health down, I usually have dwellers equipped with weapons, let them all fire at the threat, switch their weapons all out for fat mans and dragon maw’s then let them use them, then when the threat is over I take back the maw’s and fat mans then just scroll down and give them a random weapon back, and even if I give them a different weapon than what they used before, the damage output would be about the same.

if you put dwellers with endurance in the storage rooms you get a better chance of getting stuff when you scrap junk items. also if a threat happens in an empty room, then it will eventually go into another room that has people. the downside side to that it might take longer for it to be over. i just got the game off steam a few weeks back. you said in another vid it wasnt on steam but showed it was in the vid. i was a bit confused. but maybe it wasnt at the time but you showed a screen shot of it being on it. but that would explain me not seeing it on there before. i dont go on steam much. but sometimes here and ther i go check out free games and saw it. i forgot it came out, thought it was just hand helds. but when it came out i was still playing lame consoles. though i forgot about the game, but i did find that world of tanks blitz came out on pc and so this could be as well. but i was thinking you played against people on hand helds. maybe you do, but probably just other pc players. to me that would be a disadvantage to hand held players to me. though i asked people if they were on pc of hand held and never got any response so maybe some are. though i dont play anymore because i already play the pc version that first came out so much better. i played it on console and found it from anderzel. i first watched his battlefield vids and that how i found out about minecraft. so when they came to console i knew what they were and started playing them. i though mc was an old game since it was 8 bit. and never knew about it since ive always been a console player, but not anymore.
