I love playing on switch as you can use either the joycons or touch screen. I find this cool as i used to be a mobile gamer and i can just slide off the joycons and use the switch like an ipad.

It's great to see that Fallout Shelter has since been released on PS4 and the Nintendo Switch! The topics discussed in the video are still relevant, but I'm thinking my opinion on the best platform could be changed now. ;)
Pressing X yeah I think the switch is the better one cause it picks the cons of pc and portable devices and joins them together
I love the ps4 version better than my phone version. Mainly because on ps4 you get a free pack with ps plus subscription. great for starters.

Nintendo switch I believe is the best, however you cant stream on it meaning for a youtube video you would need a recorder for it witch is expensive. I would recommend if your starting a series do it on a iPad or Pc.
Ps4 is better than Xbox because if you have plus you can get a whole bunch of stuff

Personally I just use my phone for the incredible convenience, I would love to use a tablet for it but sadly I don’t own one

Coming to you from 2 years into the future from the year 2020. I play this game on a Note 10+. Large screen for a mobile device, No hiccups, and I like to use the stylus for accuracy.

The game is designed for a touchscreen, I feel that you can manage your shelter much more easily by touch rather than a mouse/controller.
I couldn't disagree more, the mouse let's you be exact.
@@pogunguskingofthemilk9529 maybe if the screen was cluttered with items, or you have to be careful about what you’re selecting but everything is spaced out, there’s no serious consequences to accidentally selecting the wrong thing and I never have a precision issue. I’d rather perform actions quickly, especially during a raid/attack.

With the Xbox you can hold left d-pad to the right which is the easiest and quickest way to give dwellers stimpacks
I like the Xbox the best because my IPad doesn't support the game, I don't want to turn on my laptop 4 times a day, and my Xbox I am always on so it's just convenient having the game on my Xbox.

I love the portability of my phone, and I also love the ease of use with a mouse (especially moving dwellers), but I still choose my phone because I feel like the game is meant to be played where you check it when you have a little bit of free time.

First of all I really like your videos.
I also started my first vault on the tablet but since the performance wasn't that great and my device overheated regularly I stopped and moved to the PC.
I'd really like to know how you build your vault. Not the layout, I know you showed that already, but how you got it like this. When I start a new vault the top 10 or more floors are always messy. I try to organize them and to not have to many single rooms but I can't reorganize the top floors like you did (with nuclear reactors).

personally, my favourite is the phone, I really enjoy having it anytime i'm in the bus or waiting for something to happen. I've chosen to try playing with ads on one vault (because you can use ads to get nuka colas, caps, etc) and I would say it doesnt feel to cheaty with the 4 hour cooldown and it makes quests go really fast
I currently play it on my Nintendo Switch. I started it on my Ipad but the problem was it was an old Ipad and after about 3 floors it would begin to suffer with issues. I tried it on my new phone which was capable of running it however it was too small for me to do much with it.
I recently obtained a Nintendo switch. The nice thing about it, is that I can take it with me wherever and it runs it pretty smooth. Its not too big and not too small.
Whats also neat is that I can plug it into the dock and play it on a big TV if I need to. So I kind of get the best of both, is that I'm able to take it with me as its portable, then play it at home. Though usually I still have it on the go. But its nice that I can play it on my TV if I feel like it.
6 years later I’m on an iPhone 15 pro max-which is a bit bigger than most phones and runs a 200 dweller vault no problem. But it’s still a little small for finding the mysterious stranger and “misclicking”/mistapping happens more often than I’d like.
I play on my PC & Mobile phone. I was able to set it up so the saves are synced between the two devices.
I suck with touch controls. I always miss the dweller I want to click and when time is of the essence, I can never get a dweller in the right room in time. But it's still a nice game for on-the-go.

As someone who works and games on their PC, I choose it over my phone and tablet for one key reason that wasn't discussed in the comparison: controls. Touch controls on both phones and tablets are atrociously imprecise, even demonstrated in the background video @1:14. You're also much more agile with your mouse when it comes to dragging and dropping dwellers.

I've been playing fallout shelter on the switch as it's portable, runs reasonably well, and I can just tap the screen when I'm not playing on the tv, which I barely do anyway

new to this game. Watched a few tutorials and played on my Steam Deck using controller. The controller sticks is hard to control and often overshoot what I intended to select. Under emergency, the game zooms in on the incident room automatically, which makes a very frustrating experience to zoom out use stick to select person the room to solve the incident one by one -A nightmare when chasing raiders.

Well, consoles have it the worst considering laptop have higher portability too. Though Switch version could have changed that and been the best one in all categories.

Im playing it and other android mobile/tablet games on my 4k television using the powerful nvidia shield androidTV and a computermouse, thanks to a program called Yalp store, w/o having to use those messier rooting or sideloading methods.

Yes, they will add to the stats, for example you have a dweller that has max endurance (E10 )and you equip him with the heavy wasteland gear (E7) the endurance stat will now be 17

I play this game on my Samsung Galaxy Tab. I have the mod apk version. Been playing it for amonth now & I'm taking it slow just level everyone up, no more than 100 dwellers. I'm geared up & ready for war.
How is Size bad on console if it depends on the size of your TV the control is bad yes but the screen size only depends on your TV Size because when I owned a Xbox I played it on a around 45-50 inch TV and it seemed like a good size only thing I hated was having to use a controller
You are incorrect about the phone department: I use my Sony Xperia XZ Premium and never drop any frames and it has a 4k LCD display...soooo go my phone? Still I have 1 downside: it eats battery mAhs like crazy...

I just started this game after looking for something to do indoors. I’m playing on a PS4 and the performance is pretty good but I have to agree about the navigation. It’s total trash and I’ve missed so many opportunities, such as seeing the Mysterious Stranger, because of the clumsy navigation. I’m sure I’ll get used to it after a while as with most new and unfamiliar games but I feel it wasn’t meant for consoles.
Ahh, perfect quarantine game! Yup, the controls are definitely more intuitive for touch devices...it is pretty cool playing it on a tv though. :)
Now the switch is going to have fallout shelter it might be better then the other unless you don't have a switch

Imo I think Xbox but also pc since you can access your vault from the Xbox on pc, because it is a “play anywhere” game
Laptop all the way. I think Dan missed the fact that the entire POINT of a laptop is portability. When you combine that with screen size and performance, the fact that you can't carry it around in your pocket is, at worst, a minor concern.
