So what have I learned from watching soooooo many of these videos? 1: It seems that most of the Russian population is smart enough to use dash cams in case they are involved in an accident. 2: If I ever visit Russia I will never drive or ride in a car, ride a bus, ride a bicycle or a bike. Come to think of it I won't even walk the streets because that doesn't look safe either. You never know when a car, bus or truck will come hurtling after you! I would probably spend all my time in the hotel, it would be safer, lol! 3: Russians definitely need to drink a LOT more coffee and less vodka.
What I haven't figured out yet is 1: Do they teach Drivers Ed in school and if so are they required to pass? 2: Are they required to have a driver's license to drive legally? 3: If so is that law enforced? 4: To acquire their drivers license do they also have to pass an eye exam? I really could go on and on! I have so many unanswered questions! LOL!

Also the safest place in Russia is Alaska, because it's no longer *in* Russia. Come to think of it you won't be safe in your hotel because, what if a car crashes inside?
After 2007, all new cars sold in Russian were required to be equipped with dashcams. They sure provide enjoyment for the rest of the world!!

I'm from Russia and 1) we are not required to have cameras in cars by any way. Just a lot of people prefer to have it to protect themselves in a court case (after possible road accident). 2) Yes, there are some people who like to drive fast (including myself), that's not a secret. Just like in Portugal for example. A matter of mentality I guess. 3) No, it's not always like in the video, it's just a COMPILATION. You see something like that happening on the road really rare. In general It's pretty safe just like in other countries and people drive calmly. For ex. I've not seen a single road accident live in 3 years of driving.

Question (1:58): In USA trains always emergency stop if they hit something at a crossing. Do they stop in Russia? I know it takes a long ways for a speeding train to fully stop but in this video there was no discernable slowing of the train after the collision.
