i thought i stumbled upon some little gem in the factorio world but when i realized that you have 14 subscribers, i realized it was dumb luck the algorithem gave me this gem. AKA, great content and criminaly underrated, even though you have one vid, cant wait for more!
Apparently I’m not great at estimating times yet. Something I’m sure I’ll get better at. Lol. No promises, but I’m hoping to get it out sometime this weekend!
For the oil, Use miners to direct load the ore into a cargo wagon, either return the wagon to the base manually, or destroy the wagon when its done. rinse/repeat/expand to clear the area/s needed.
Ah! Brilliant! That would've been so much better! That way, I wouldn't have had to find a clear spot for the chests since the tracks just go right over the ores.

I’ve had that bug happen a couple of times across a couple of different versions and it looks like you’ve encountered another case where it’s reading upgrades incorrectly. Edit: You also could have changed the ClaustOrephobic config to be easier (or harder) if you liked; I don’t know if you checked the provided settings.
Im commenting for the algorithm, but i feel like the length also matters for engagement reasons but as a new modder (working on "lapis" a mod that im using as a test to get a better understanding of how to manipulate different aspects of the game i hope that it can be featured in another one of these random series once i get it uploaded) im super excited to see this channel doing well, and cant wait to see the community come together to do more great things! Anyways blah blah blah factorio is great, we are an awesome community, lets do this!

Great idea! I'd love to see a round two with the mods randomized again. (and if you do it enough times, you might get like, pyanadons, or seablock, or some other massive overhaul mod/pack that extends the game by a lot 😈)

Good question! Not sure if I included it in the video or not but, occasionally, I'd find empty 1x1 tiles in the ore patches or sand that could easily be mined out by hand to create an empty patch. I just had to find a string of them that were close enough together and that went from the base to the oil, then placed power poles in those patches to bring power up there.

That's a good question! And the answer is because... I'm stupid. Lol. To be totally honest, it didn't even cross my mind during the playthrough. I kinda got stuck on the whole oil pipeline idea and never really expanded my field of view. Would've made the run a lot easier though!
