I have the same sentiments as Wyatt with regards to the "friends" part. Still gets me until now but the overall song was a beast especially with Courtney in it.
Every time I hear this song it just hits on an emotional level and it sends chills through all my body. Haven't had a song do that in a long time.

This song musically is phenomenal, coming from a musician myself. It’s anything but generic. The twisted majors, the contrast, it’s actually a masterpiece. Most musicians would agree.

I felt the same way about the note progression in the chorus, but I've heard the song enough that it feels right to me now. It's like she doesn't hit the note on "friends" that you expect her to, and it's jarring, Music is all about patterns and recognition of patterns, when you fuck up an expected pattern, you'd better have a good reason. But now I've listened to the song enough that it IS the note I expect and I enjoy it a lot more. I can't even remember the note I expected it to be at this point. But when I first listened to the song, I agree, it was a weird note to end that chorus on.

All Mts albums are brutal and seeing Sean's incredible progress is unique. Each album improves. He is an underrated lead vocalist. One of the best on the scene for a long time. And the complementation that comes with Booka is simply magnificent and special. It's a wonderful vocal duo
