- This is my reaction/review for 'Doomswitch' by Make Them Suffer! I reacted to Contraband on the channel but when How To Survive A Funeral dropped I listened to it on vinyl for the first time and didn't make a video! This video comes with the announcement of their new vocalist/keyboardist Alex Reade! What are your thoughts on the new track?

I love how Alex's harsh vocals are so different than Sean's gives so much more chance for variety

I saw them two days ago in Sydney and I was hoping for the exact same thing but unfortunately she didn't! Hopefully in the future!!
When Alex screams in this particularly in the verse before the first chorus, it really reminds me of the 2nd screamer/singer in Born of Osiris
What I love about Alex screams is that they sound „female“ and harsh and not again one that sounds gutural and more „male“. Those screams are just on point and a perfect fit to the sound of the band.
Such a perfect track in general.
i absolutely love Alex's clean vocals, and her screams really do add to the experience. i hope they utilize her screams more often moving forward

I was more excited than my kids at Christmas for this to release.. and it's 2/2 from MTS literally dropping songs of the year out of nowhere, Contraband and Doomswitch (actually in 2019 Hallowed Heart was another banger but seems to fly under the radar). You could say things happen for a reason, and everything with Booka, and DTS disbanding brought Alex to MTS and she is such a good fit - not to knock Booka but Alex has a lot more vocal versatility. Absolute smasha of a track, love the electronica threaded throughout, and the chorus is the perfect counterpoint. this is my favourite reaction🤘🏻

I feel like “Worlds Apart” is one of the most underrated metalcore albums of all time. The riffs off that record solidified Nick’s god status as a guitarist in my opinion.

Great song. Alex will be really good for them. This got me to go back and listen to Drown This City as well and I forgot how good their Alpha Survivor ep is. Stay Broken and In Your Image especially. I can't get those two songs out of my head now.

This was massive! No aspect of the song disappointed me! Loved your reaction too, you definitely seemed blown away by many parts throughout the song! I've never actually listened to any of their recent albums all the way through but I will definitely have to for their next one!
Felt like an overload of pure joy or just like omg omg so much stuffs to say. Amazing tune not to mention the 3 d and animations not too little not too much. Perfect.

Oml this song fuuuucks. Sean is top of his game, the addition of Alex's uncleans, those guitar leads, the synth in the breakdown, the timing change into the second breakdown and another at the end. Damn. I cannot wait to see where this progresses. Likely to be one of my faves of 2023 (when/if there's an announce). There isn't much more I can say that you and others haven't already said, so I'm gonna leave it at that. Excellent, excellent shit.
Edit: I went back and listened to Alex's old band Drown This City, her vocals in that are super good. No doubt she'll be a great addition to MTS.
Love this song. Seeing these guys perform live together was a gift that should never be spoiled. They’re incredible and Alex I feel really adds that missing piece that they’ve really needed

It's going to nice hearing Alex doing her screams while playing the keyboard. She not only has experience as a lead vocalist but, I'm hoping they give her a bit more flexibility and doing more vocals as she can clearly do it. I will miss Booka but, Alex is a better upgrade for the band.
I've loved every era of this band. They can literally do no wrong. After such a major lineup change too, they just can't miss. Cant wait for more of Alex.

Worlds Apart is a special album for me too, I believe Hollowed Heart and this is on par with that album. The last album was happy, which is not a bad thing, but there's just something about Worlds Apart, I don't know)

One of my favorite thing with MTS is sean's bakground harsh vocal while there is cleans. Its so fucking awesome. To she that Alex can go harsh beside Sean/in the bakground/with Sean just give them so much extra, and from what i heard in this song this will make them so much better wich says alot since they already is top tier imo.

I was super into the hardcore/metalcore scene from about 2000-2010 then kinda lost interest in new music. I missed the whole djent era of metalcore so this was just okay for me. Boundaries and Varials just released new albums and are more my thing. Love to see you check those out on the channel.
I don't/won't support Varials but I have already recorded Boundaries and it will go up some time next week

New song and best they’ve ever wrote in my opinion!
Worlds Apart is 100% my favorite release by them. I also liked HTSAF, but this is a clear upgrade. Even from Contraband, this is huge in my opinion. Amazing song, and Alex is and will be a total game changer. Really digging this more electronic vibe, hyped for more and more! 10/10 track, one of their finest works yet.
