There is no way seth is lower than roman. That's a joke. There r vince guys roman. Then there is hunter guys seth. Seth as always been bigger than roman.
@@travisgang17 lol it seems you have been watching a completely different thing
@roronoauchiha69 some see the bigger picture.
The issue with babyface Roman is when the shield broke up Ambrose and Rollins changed their characters. They both got new gear, new music, and new moves.
Roman was still doing the stale shield act.
Forcing the generic ‘I’m a big guy who fights bad guys’ act as the next big star was something no one wanted
We all said he’d be way better as a heel, well now look where he is, one of the biggest and best heels in history
ONE DAY I WILL BECOME LIKE ANDREW TATE AND TRISTAN TATE BUT I WILL NOT BE TOP 🔝 G I WILL BE THE NORMAL G AND BECOME A BILLIONAIRE WHO SPEND MONEY 💰 TO MAKE MORE MONEY 💰 AND HELP PEOPLE THAT HELPED ME AND I HELPED THEM. SO A PIECE OF ADVICE DON’T WHINE CRY 😭 AND COMPLAIN LIKE THE TATE BROTHERS AND RADICALLY TRANSFORM YOURSELVES LIKE I WANNA DO FOR THE FIRST AND LAST TIME MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY.
This also wasn't a Roman Reigns issue, this was a WWE issue. He tried to get creative to turn him heel for years, but they refused to do it.
@@jamilaharmstrong9677 everyone knows wwe does the opposite of what the stars say - should've told em to keep him as a face
There's no issue, Babyface Roman is equally great as Heel.
"stale Shield act", there's no such thing as"stale" about his Shield gimmick, instead it made him extremely powerful of an image throughout the entire WWE roster and led him up to the greatest growth of his career. Defeating everyone, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Triple H, Bobby Lashley and everyone else.
So you crybaby trend-fans keep crying stupid pathetic people.
He never failed fans just didn’t want a John cena 2.0
John cena was the greatest wwe character
If anything WWE failed spectacularly
I liked the Big Dog character, I don't think it was a bad character tbh. But it could've been better ig
@@bioexisttrue
no he become even more worse than cena already bored of him 10 years ago
Roman’s “failed” run is the type of run/career 99% of pro wrestlers dream of having.
Exactly man, thank you, for his entire career in WWE he has always been “THE” guy and one of the few very consistent wrestlemania headliners
what? He got booed every night. Just because he won championships because Vince was stubborn about him doesn't make him great or his run good.
@@Michael-fi7vu His “bad run” would’ve been any other superstar’s dream career
Exactly, if Roman's bad run was offered to wrestlers at the start of their careers 100% of them would take it hands down.
@@Michael-fi7vu NOBODY would turn down multiple championships, multiple Wrestlemania main events and being the #1baby face of the company, even with fans booing and you know it.
Paul has known Roman since he was 3 yrs old. The Tribal Chief gimmick was one that Roman created back in 2017, when he wanted to turn heel but Vince wouldn't pull the trigger due to Roman being the face of the company. One of Roman's promos after he defeated 'Taker at Wrestlemania, he says that he is not only The Big Dog in the WWE but he is also The Head of the Table. Even though he was still a babyface at the time, it was a great heel promo.
He should of ended the streak in my opinion and slowly became the tribal chief
@@thepubknight6144Definitely. Undertaker wanted Roman to end the streak, but Vince wouldn't have it
The nearly 10 minute "This is my yard now" promo after beating The Undertaker is still my favorite promo of him. They really should've capitalized on that and turned him heel right then and there. Instead, it was more of the same lame Big Dog shtick.
@@abird9387Vince is a f**king idiot, hhh would have turned him heel immediately

Roman Reigns found himself in the right place at the right time, needing only the right direction and circumstances to thrive. This scenario is reminiscent of companies that thrust talented individuals into significant roles without adequate preparation, allowing them to learn on the job. Despite the initial challenges and potential customer complaints, those individuals often emerge successfully in their intended positions. This parallels Roman Reigns' journey, evolving from a less-than-stellar mic performer to someone whose promos are now must-see, maintaining momentum with only a few appearances each year. It's truly remarkable, and I'm genuinely happy for him. Adding to his success, he is blessed with a family of five kids, enabling him to balance a lucrative career with quality time spent with loved ones.
How exactly is Roman Reigns maintaining momentum? Do you consider WWE turning him into a chicken shit champion who almost always loses every match without assistance dominant?
@@mjareacts2731welcome to the concept of a heel
@@grimplayz7565 I get it but it's a retarded concept imo.
@@mjareacts2731they did that to protect his opponents and so he doesn’t bury them and beat them clean plus he’s a heel why would he win the way we want him to win?
@@grimplayz7565 that's one type of heel, anyone heard of Gunther? Also I've been a pro wrestling fan since 1979, so I've probably forgotten more about the business then you've ever learned.
You should’ve continued more with how he’s bloodline tribal chief storyline started
He never failed he is only seen success in wwe every one said since 2012 he will be biggest wwe super star.
You obviously didn't watch WWE during 2015-2019 lol
Bro was a runner up for every rumble
And everyone hates him there
I think if Roman went from The Shield to Tribal Chief he wouldn’t have got as much hate, however, him being rejected by fans and everything is part of the basis of the Tribal Chief character. The thing I love about the Tribal Chief version of Roman Reigns is his facial expressions. I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed but in matches where the crowd boos him or he feels questioned he gets this uncomfortable look on his face, or sometimes even just looks hurt. I think if he didn’t have all the hate from the fans prior to this change, it wouldn’t work as well as it does. It’s such a good character with so many layers.
If that are even during this week's promo he just looks like an arrogant teenager. That's in the principal's office because he misbehaved but truly doesn't give a shit.
Every version of Roman Reigns is insane and legend one in the WWE history from shield to big dog and The Tribal chief.
To me Roman as the Big Dog was someone me, my family, and my friends cheered. If he came out we would be excited. In my eyes, Big Dog Roman lived up to my expectations and he was one of my favorite babyfaces. Tribal Chief Roman is definitely better and I like him better than Big Dog.
Exactly the same for me. I liked the Big Dog, but I Like The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns even more.
I was a big fan of shield reigns i thought big dog was too forced i was rooting for rollins more. Reigns now the best he has been ever.
So you guys are big fans of someone who almost loses every single match, well until someone interferes on his behalf every single time. Is that the dominant champion that we're talking about?
Acknowledge me .....shit is stupid
@@mjareacts2731That's literally the idea of a heel character lol
If he wins seamlessly it'd make the other competitors look bad
Have you noticed how every match with Roman makes his opponents look so much better?
Look at Cody and even this yes guy.
They became something cos of the stories built around the tribal chief
I Wouldn't say that he "Failed" because
1. he was still Loved by a good portion of the audience.
2.. He was still one of WWE highest merch sellers and even at times number 1 .
3. Even though his character was stale, he still had great moments where he showed what he could be which is what he is NOW.👍
All things considered I'm glad WWE listened to his complaints and allowed Reigns to turn heel. He's been the biggest thing in the industry for the past 4 years. And he's only getting bigger with the Rock joining the bloodline
This the part people don’t understand😂. In wrestling there’s the casual fans and then there’s the hardcore IWC. The people that hated Roman (pre tribal chief) were the marks online. The casual fan always liked Roman. Shit…even some of the marks still hate Roman because at the end of the day…he’s not the 120 pound flip flop ring magician like their indy favorites😂😂
Everyone hated him in his “Big Dog” phase. It was a total failure.
He was loved after he revealed he had leukemia and came back. People got on the back of that and purchased his merch. Aside from that, it was a failure. And looking at the product with your eyes would show you that fact
@@DADON99 right the IWC is the loud minority but they don't nor never will determine who's a draw or over
@@davidmcaninch4714I didn’t hate him nah, stop saying everyone you’re lying
It's so poetic that the WrestleMania 40 where he lost his title, was in Philadelphia. When he was getting pinned, he looked as if he was smiling.
It was a great moment. And he knew how good of a job he did holding the title and carrying the company for so long. He had everyone's respect. That was a relief of satisfaction there. He knew he was acknowledged in history
In as Shield and as big dog Roman was my favourite, he was putting his body and heart on line in every performance he never given up. His matches were always tense and thriller to watch but still fans booed him but was not his fault. It was wwe which failed in providing him the true character which fans would cheer. But now Reigns being the epicenter, the main guy, the main-eventer, the super villain, the crowd puller, the head of the table and the tribal cheif for 3 and half years is the greatest work in all sports entertainments of all time.
Hey little paul heyman 😂
Now everyone suddenly loves the big dog character? nah it was trash and not Roman’s fault at all, Vince wanted to push him as someone that even he wasn’t comfortable with, tribal chief Roman is when he was finally able to be comfortable in his skin and it was a success
Big Dog character was not trash
When The Big Dog went to Smackdown he started putting on bangers
Roman is a king that went mad due to his own kingdom.
Roman NEVER failed in WWE. The people in charge failed Roman. Let's be real most men hate him cause their wives or girlfriends love him! I liked Roman when he was a babyface but damn I love Roman as a heel. My opinion he's the greatest heel of all time.

I still remember during the first few months of the pandemic that there was a rumour about Roman receiving a monster push and at the time I brushed it off as another desperate attempt to turn him into cena
Looking back at it holy shit that move literally changed everything about WWE and made it what it is today, so whoever was in charge of that truly deserves a raise
Started Watching WWE from early 2018 so at that time Reigns was a main eventer
He attracted me
My friends used wwe a long time before than me so they always used talk about Roman Reigns Superman John cena Undertaker and Randy Orton
( Im from India and Indian audience love face Roman Reigns)
When I started watching WWE i had a thought in mind that Roman Reigns John Cena are the big things and I liked his Face run " Big Dog " and also watched The shields history etc the Rock , John cena , Undertaker, Edge and many more wrestlers
But when Reigns turned heel in 2020 at first i didn't liked that but slowly and slowly Reigns impressed me with his mic works and charisma
And for the first time i started to like and support a heel
And Now I love to solid heel characters
Gotta say The tribal chief is a brilliant stroke by WWE
Reigns Aura is different
He might be not the 2nd John Cena or 2nd Rock or 2 Stone cold but he is the First Tribal chief ☝️
I really love your story telling. N I can tell u weren't your excited self in this video as u are in most videos. Regardless I love how u summarise. Also, I have been a fan of Roman since day one. Literally, never felt he sucked
Roman Reigns has always been one of WWE's best workers on their roster ever since the start of his career, he wasn't ''failing'' at the John Cena role, he excelled at it.
For years the John Cena role had been: being the center of attention, having everyone care about what he's doing whether they liked or hated it, getting the biggest reactions whether it was cheers, boos or split reactions and working killer matches and programs, and Roman Reigns ticked ALL the boxes.
Now of course Tribal Chief Roman is miles better than anything before that and has cemented him as one of the greats and he never needed to take on the John Cena role, but having been given that role he really did make the most out of what was asked of him at the time.
He never failed, wwe & the fans failed him
Creative failed him

Roman Reigns is the definition of going to work and doing your job to the best of your ability and having it pay off big time. I don’t really see why ppl don’t like him. Dude’s a good guy and his dedication to the business is great! I’ve always enjoyed his babyface run but i remember thinking how cool it would be if he was a heel during his big dog run but seeing him in his final form is too cool!
I can answer that for you the people who don't like him are the cry babies who cry "but he only holds thst title because people keep interfering" it's the people who don't realise because of that interference he's still champion because he's the absolute best heel in wwe history.. They don't understand that heels whole characters involve cheating to win.. They don't understand his character because their not actually wwe fans that's why they don't like him.. He's the best universal champion in recent history and by far the goat heel

Great vid and insights
In india he is the the most likable guy just like Undertaker
We love roman, and thank you for everything ❤
If you look at the history of the wwe. Vince preferred one type of wrestler as the face of the company. That was hulk hogan, a smiling babyface who is super patriotic, say your prayers, take your vitamins type. He tried to replicate several times, only cena worked, sort of.
This guy doesn't know what his talking about because roman was everyones favourite, now in 2022 everyone is starting to hate him for no reason , those people that are hating roman Reigns are psychos
With The Rock recently turning heel, Roman is going to be an even bigger star now
Hey good to see you’re still around.
I said it over and over again back then...roman is and needs to be a heel. Its clearly closer to who he us as a person. I could even see it in his promos back then that the good guy dialogue was being forced. Vince was so out of touch man. It hurt romans career in the beginning. Now they're trying to erase that part of his history.
you just showed me my full wwe memories
Roman always had IT, his old gimmick just never allowed him to harness it. Fans booed because they wanted something different, and Heel Reigns delivered. It's a shame he doesn't appear as often now and his fights have become really repetitive, predictable and boring because of interferences, but 2020 - 2021 Tribal Chief Reigns is one of my person favourite wrestlers/characters.
Thanks Sportskeeda Wrestling
Those years were so bad I could not watch even PPV's anymore. I really don't get why they pushed him as a "good guy" so hard when he never got the kind of pops that would deserve that push in the first place. Thank you Paul Hayman is all I gotta say.
Acknowledge the Tribal Chief👆👆👆👆
He's the greatest of all this generation
Arguably the greatest
You could be more specific with the title. Roman has never failed in WWE in terms of success. He has had one of the most successful careers of any WWE superstar. It was never actually his fault that he was failing as much as WWE's. They kept trying to make him someone who he wasn't, and they tried to do it way too soon. If they had been more patient and did things properly, then he wouldn't have struggled to get over for as long as he did. Eventually, they started letting him be himself, and as they say, the rest is history.
Ok Roman was always a top merch seller and overseas they Loved him..... I worked in Middle & High schools at the time. I saw way more RR shirts & action figures than any other wwe star.. Not so sure he was a failure. On top of fact 50% of them Boos were fans just piling on because it was Fun. Hell i even bood sometimes just for fun.
He faild because he got wrong character he should been the one to turn on the shield and another problem with him was push alone when hogan was top guy there was pipper sawage worrier are almost on hogan level Bret has hbk nash lex taker Austin has rock taker hhh Mick cena had Batista Orton Brock rey edge etc latter punk but roman push alone imagine if WWE go with roman Cody Bray drew seth and dean instead of part timer
Roma reigns ☝🏽☝🏽❤️🥰😍
I personally hated the big dog character to the limit. I was in my teenage years and hated his guts. But as a legend once said ' to get him in a space to speak and have him not be able to craft what he wants to say, is a young man trying to find his way. Fast forward to the time where he doesn't have to say a fucking word. That is a man who knows who he is'. The Tribal Chief truly inspires me in my life. Roman Reigns evolution should be a case study not for just wrestling school but also for personality development.
Imo, the failure of babyface Roman Reigns was the epitome of 2010s WWE's disastrous booking decisions.
WHY IS THERE SO MANY CUTS IN THE vIDEO
Idk if it's just me, but there's a few clipping in the audio, and it keeps skipping vital information
Why is there so much cut out dialogue
There’s bad and then there’s this
Only reason I’m watching wwe is because of the TRIBAL CHIEF, that gimmick has brought so many people back to the product
Stop lying

I've watched the videos I've tried and tried and I don't know what it is the Tribal Chief is just different. I loved the big dog but the look the swagger the confidence is just different and I love it
I'm so glad I'm Samoan, makes the Bloodline more cooler
Fun Fact: The Usos are actually called "The Brothers" in English
The Guy sucked and sucked for 10 years until he became such a big star
Swear this is what made me walk away back then. They kept forcing the "big dog" and I had to head on out. Still not fully back smh
I’ve always like Reigns and since being the Tribal Chief has been his best work
I remember back in 2016/17 I was telling my friends that WWE should turn him heel and pair him with Paul Heyman.
Also, I feel bad jeering and pointing the finger to him (I was really very close to the ring) during one of the house show in 2017. I happy for him now, he was one of the hardworker back then when even though he got jeered and booed at. I definitely ackonwledge him as my Tribal Chief now ☝☝☝
#ThankYouRoman miss him a lot hate to see him loose at wrestlemania.. please come back i always loved him since he started the shield
Roman works well as tribal chief now. But he was pushed hard for sure and got hated because of it. After his illness he became better.
Both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns played for Minnesota Vikings
I hope this dont get taken the wrong way buy despite it all one thing that was mentioned that I've been saying for years , wwe can script whatever they want but you can tell a fan how to genuinely feel, romans leukemia speech really hit home for thousands in attendance and millions around the globe ... from that moment on he became the guy we couldnt hate & wwe had to run with it ... sad it it happened that way but lets ve thankful that it happened & last thing long RESPECT💯
Despite the fact that Roman's character sucked back then, I still liked his Batman-style gear more than the pepper necklace.
I always cheered for Roman Reigns, even when everyone hated him and now it's funny to me how haters suddenly became his fans, such selfish people
Being booed as a babyface the firs 6 years of your career and being unable to cut a promo is a literal failure. If it wasnt for Vince's hard on for him woulda never made it to Main event. Guy was learning on the job in Mania main events. After 30 years of watching wrestling, to this day i have never seen anything like it.
Maybe you just need to sit back and watch that magic box Old Timer
Oh yeah, if you been watching 30 years A: you HAVE seen something like it and B: stop taking it so personal Old Timer
The Tribal Chief is the best gimmick That did justice
What happened to your voice editing ? Sentences are incomplete many times words are cut off in between!
Everything has a reason n purpose
Roman Reigns's 2014 to 2016 WrestleMania was very good long term storyline. Like how he was betrayed by Rollins than he faught against him then won RR but seth stole his moment than again he rose from zero to again getting the wwe title match but TripalH came in between then he won against him in WM32. But it all was presented very badly. He became too babyface with every single word from script, Ambrose became his jobber friend without any serious independent role in the reigns- Rollins fued.
After the 2015 rumble wwe should’ve made an audible, focused on building Seth and dean, and develop Roman to a star
Acknowledge him 🖤

Bro honestly Paul Heyman is a national treasure .. bless that man and his genius character making ability .. many great wwe icon came straight out of Paul Heyman's head!
after being over pushed for a long time he got over nd even his new theme helped him a lot
Why are there so many cuts?
Reigns' character feels too forced, his character lacks that genuine appeal. Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Brary Wyatt and Rollins shine with charisma and authenticity. ' Short and sweet.
